So sorry you were not fully satisfied with our cottage. We spent the past few years 'fully' restoring, down to studs, our cottage, By intermingling many of the family furnishings; bed sets with new mattresses, dining room set & lamps, etc, with new couches, chairs, fixtures, etc., we wished to create the feel of its 100 year history with our family. Oh, and we do have brand new bathrooms & kitchen! So it's disappointing to hear your review. But always good to hear another point of view. We do describe our cottage on on the vrbo website as having access to a 'shell' beach, & included a photo. A beach our family has always used for swimming & kayaking. This is the first time we have had concerns from a guest that they were not treated to the town beach. We understood our permit was for residents only. So thank you, we will certainly check into that possibility for our future guests. And we thank you for taking the time to review our property & wish you a much better experience if, and when, you visit once again the Jamestown shores. Wallace & I appreciate that you took the time to write a review of your recent visit to our home in Jamestown. This summer has been our first experience with sharing our island cottage with families outside our family.
