Located next to Buxton Harbor, with a private deck overlooking trees and marsh, with the Albemarle Sound in the distance. Room has queen bed, mini fridge, microwave, coffemaker and private bath. Walking distance to two restaurants, five minute drive from Cape Hatteras lighthouse and beautiful beaches. Local flavor, owner willing to answer questions and make suggestions about the area. Newly renovated!

We had such a great stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was super kind, responsive, and made everything easy from check-in to check-out. The location was perfect and we made so many fun memories during our trip. You can tell they really care about their guests having a good experience. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

Truly an exceptional stay. The treetop is exactly as described. It looks out over the treetops and you can sit on the porch and enjoy the birds and sunset. The interior is chic and comfortable - and we slept soundly in the queen bed. Lisa, the hostess, was wonderful and inviting. I would highly recommend the Treetop.

Very helpful and kind host, and wonderful during the spring months with the wind outside. You really do feel as though you are in a treehouse! The gusting wind that envelops the small room really is enchanting. Would stay here again!

Clean, quiet and wonderful hostess

It was a lovely stay. Very quiet, clean, cozy, we had everything we needed. When we go back we will make sure to stay here again!

Perfect room for one night stay!

This cute room was perfect for a nights stay in Buxton. Lisa was friendly and accomodating, and provided just about everything you need to enjoy not only the night there but the morning after as well. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are a single person or a couple looking for a place to stay for the weekend.

I am an artist who has lived on Hatteras with my husband, also an artist, for 39 years. I now continue to live and work on Hatteras by myself. I play guitar and other instruments, sometimes in local venues. My work is part time at a beautiful gallery in Avon called Kinnakeet Clay, where I create various items from slabs of clay that we sell in the gallery.

We bought this property after living here for many years. My husband was an avid fisherman, gardener and painter, and living on Hatteras Island gave him opportunity to do all of these things. We enjoyed the small island community and I am glad to still be living here.
