Enjoy the peace and tranquility of Indian River at this cozy 2-bedroom, 1.5-bath cabin, offering stunning riverfront views and all the essentials for a Northern Michigan retreat. With air conditioning for the warm summer months, this cabin is just minutes from golf, biking, and hiking trails. Explore downtown Indian River, Topinabee, Cheboygan, or Mackinaw City—all just a short drive away. Come home to your private getaway for a family BBQ on the deck, or enjoy stargazing or Northern Lights from the fire pit or hot tub!

KITCHEN: Well-equipped with dining seating for 4 plus an additional dining set for 4. Includes newer appliances, cookware, bakeware, utensils, spices, dishware, flatware, and kitchen towels/washcloths.

BEDROOMS: Master bedroom has a king-size bed; second bedroom features a queen bed plus a bunk bed with single beds on top and bottom. All linens, pillows, and blankets supplied.

BATHROOMS: One full bath with shower only and one half bath with toilet and sink. Towels and washcloths included.

ENTERTAINMENT: High-speed Wi-Fi throughout. Living room and master bedroom each feature Smart Samsung TVs with 200+ live channels and thousands of on-demand movies and shows.

RIVERFRONT & OUTDOOR LIVING: Fenced yard (open at riverfront) with 125 feet of private frontage on the famous Indian River at the mouth of Mullett Lake. Enjoy 2 kayaks, an Aqua-Cycle paddleboat, and a canoe for your use. Deck facing the river with private hot tub (usable year-round), patio dining for 6-7, and a propane BBQ with two tanks. Wood-burning fire pit with plenty of chairs. Dock available year-round, accommodating boats up to 30’. Fish for perch, walleye, or bluegill, or paddle along the scenic waterway. Wake to swans, ducks, and resident bald eagles—this is truly a bird lover’s paradise!

STARGAZING & NIGHT SKY: Shooting stars, satellites, occasional UFO sightings, and SpaceX launches are all visible from the cabin on clear nights—perfect for star and UFO enthusiasts.

WINTER ACTIVITIES: Nearby Snowmobile DNR Trail #7 and ski hills for winter sports enthusiasts. Cross-country ski trails nearby with gently sloping, forested terrain. Ample trailer parking available; 4WD/AWD recommended in winter.

Relaxing

Property was well kept, loved the access to the river and use of aqua cycle and kayaks. Hot tub was great after the aqua cycle. The whole family loved the weekend. Will stay again in the future.

Perfect Getaway with pets

Had a great relaxing time at the cabin with our dogs. Used the hot tub a lot. Place was clean and had everything you need and close to everything.

Beautiful Setting

We had a great stay at The River’s Edge. Cabin was exactly as pictured and had everything needed to make our vacation awesome. Location was great, close to Mackinac City, Petoskey and Cheboygan. Enjoyed Indian River also as well as Burt Lake Brewery. We would stay there again!

Indian River getaway

What an awesome place to stay. Things to do for people of all ages, very clean upgraded appliances, very comfortable. Kayaking, paddle boats, fishing. We had an awesome time and I can't wait to come back again.

Great relaxing cabin.

Wonderful rustic cabin. Was great for our dog as it is all fenced in with a gate, so he could not wander off. Sitting in the hot tub overlooking the river was wonderful. Central to all locations in the area. Would like to come back for a few days in the summer...

No one was disappointed it looked exactly as described. A cozy lovely cabin. We enjoyed it very much. We even caught 3 fishes. Wish we could have stayed longer…

Great place nice and cozy.

Beautiful cabin and property and property very nice and secluded. Owners are very nice and pleseant to talk to! Nice private dock and paddle boat was nice to use. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Even had car issues and hoast was very understanding about the issue which was very nice. Would stay again.

Great location, great experience!

I booked only a few days before hand and Dorene was great answering questions via email right away. River's Edge was exactly what I hoped for. My kids loved the hot tub and being close to Indian River was beautiful. The place was very clean and the décor made you feel at home. I definitely hope to make this a yearly visit!

Wonderful getaway

Beautiful river view, close to everything yet private and quiet. Swans floating by all day and a pair of bald eagles fishing right in front of the cabin! Large bedroom, comfortable bed and very nice cabin decor. Very well stocked kitchen and baths. Jacuzzi was great after a day of skiing. Perfect for the two of us and our doggo.

Everything you need and more

We had a great time and wished we could have stayed longer! Everything you need is there and we felt right at home. My Father fished from the dock, we had a nice fire (wood provided), really enjoyed the hot tub and visited local places we used to frequent years ago when my Parent's had a place in the area. We will definitely book again in the future!

Quiet Get Away

We werent even there 5 minutes before everyone was getting in the hot tub and having such a beautiful view just off the deck in the winter of the river made it even better. Area was quiet and peaceful and just what we all needed to step away from our busy lives down state. Definetly will be back

Loved it again!

This was my second time at the River's Edge and I absolutely enjoyed it! The location is a perfect mix of seclusion and proximity to everything the Indian River area has to offer. The decor is very tasteful and welcoming, it was very clean and comfortable and had all of those little things like board games that really add up. I'll be back for sure!

Unbelievable property!

This property was better than expected! Clean, beautiful, well maintained, and quality furnishings. Dorene was wonderful to work with. If you want a nice place on the river, look no further! I grew up in Michigan and wanted a place away from it all, to spend with family and do some sight seeing. It was absolutely perfect!

Wonderful getaway at Rivers Edge!

What an amazing cabin! Had everything we needed plus some. The hot tub looking out on the water is heavenly. We have 3 long haired chihuahuas and they were very relaxed and enjoyed their time at the cabin as well. Fenced in on both sides! We will be coming back I'm sure of it. Great area, plus short drive to petoskey and to the U.P, really had a wonderful weekend. Thank you Dorene for the quick feedback and letting us stay at this beautiful place.

Winter Wonderland

The house was very clean and the check in process was easy. The owners of the house even reached out to us that we could check in early because of a winter storm getting ready to hit the area so we were able to get on the road earlier in the day. That right there should tell you alot about who you are renting the house from. I give the house 5 stars and will be returning in the near future! O and the view from the deck is amazing looking over the Indian River where we saw numerous bald eagles cruising the river looking for a meal. Great place overall.

The Inland Waterway can handle boats up to 65 feet long (18 foot beam) with up to a 5 foot draft. There are 17 species of fish inhabit the waterway whether ice fishing for walleye, spring steelhead, summer perch, trout, bass, or down rigging for salmon in the Great Lakes, this area has it all.

For fun by land, enjoy the North Central State Trail, a beautiful 62 mile hiking, biking and snowmobiling trail, which passes through Indian River as it connects Gaylord to Mackinaw City.
