Studio approx. 600 sq. ft with private entrance and patio, Full kitchen, walk-in cedar closet, Bath with shower, Full size bed, fire pit, off street parking. Hiking the back property and looking for wildlife. FDR library and Val Kill only thirty minutes away. Longest walkway bridge over a river only thirty minutes away. Studio has quaint feeling of a home away from all the hustle and bustle. The evening stars and moon are so bright you think its light out.

Amazing place

I loved this property. The sounds the smell of peaceful living. Jim and norma are amazing people, friendly, accommodating. By far one of thee best places to stay if you are visiting or living in the beautiful state of New York

Monthly rental at an affordable price

We sold our house and needed temporary housing until we closed on our new house. The apartment is fully equipped for long term stay. It is a walk out basement apartment which can be damp; there is a dehumidifier on a timer which was loud when it went on while we were sleeping or watching TV. We have a queen size bed, so their full size bed did feel tight and short. The yard and landscaping is very nice. For a week these issues would be fine, after 30 days it’s nice to have our own home again.

Beautiful property

I was working in the area and decided on staying here instead of a hotel. Jim and Norma were exceptional hosts, polite, hospitable and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. I would absolutely stay with them again in the future.

Great Studio apt

The grounds were beautifully landscaped. The studio is very comfortable and clean. The hosts, Jim and Norma are wonderful people to talk to and take great pride in their home. Great experience.

Quiet and cozy private apartment

Jim and Norma's place is perfect for a short or long-term stay in Millbrook. Their communication was quick and helpful from the beginning - they were available whenever I had any questions. The apartment was very tidy and lovely, and looks exactly like it does in the pictures. The place is private and quiet, and is very conveniently located to downtown Millbrook. I would absolutely recommend to stay here!

VRBO for Weekend Retreat at Omega Institute

Nice accommodations. Wonderful setting on a wooded property. Norma was an outstanding hostess, making sure we were comfortable in the studio. She offered lots of helpful insights about the area too.

Amazing stay, everything you could ask for!

My boyfriend and I were in town for an Omega Institute class during the weekend. This VRBO provided our own serene place that was very reasonably priced and close to the institute. Norma and Jim’s home was beautiful and although I was doing work all weekend, the environment made me feel like I was on vacation! On top of the gorgeous landscaping, the studio itself was very clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed for our stay. They were the best hosts ever! They were accommodating to us arriving late at night and were always a quick text or phone call away. They even provided us with breakfast food in our refrigerator! I will without a doubt be back here! Thank you Jim and Norma!

Wonderful

I especially enjoyed the wonderful owners of this property. My favorite experiences are picking apples and making apple sauce, enjoying the produce from their garden and sitting out in the backyard enjoying the sun and watching my GoldenDoodle play. Just a besutiful place.

Clean, quiet, comfortable

The studio apartment fit the bill perfectly for our 4 night stay attending the NY Sheep and Wool festival. It's a very quiet, private setting, and the apartment is clean, with a full kitchen and gas grill provided, although the decor is a bit "garage sale" style. The owners were friendly and made sure we had everything we needed, but as we had our own entrance we had plenty of privacy.

Cozy and quiet

The studio apartment was clean.and cozy. The view of the back yard is lawn, flowers, a stonewall and woods. In my stay I saw a fox and a deer. I loved the peace and quiet after a day of work. Norma Lynn and Jim are great hosts.

Wonderfully quiet; beautifully landscaped

Norma Lynn and Tom were wonderful hosts; thank you, Nathan, also! Their home is centrally located, close to Millbrook, Hyde Park, Rheinbeck, etc. The large back yard with private patio, grill and seating is great. Lovely to sit out in the late afternoon or early morning for coffee. It is a great value for couples, especially with one child (fold out futon).. Very clean, bathroom is small but adequate and the kitchen facilities are handy. For value, for the peaceful atmosphere, clean air and excellent hosts it would be difficult to beat.

Very lovely property

The property was actually much nicer than what their pictures showed. The property was very clean and the owners were very welcoming and helpful with area attractions. I would highly recommend this property to friends and family.

Perfect little place

I rented this property for my in-laws, (who moved here from California), until their new home was ready. The place was perfect. It was clean, comfortable and fully equipped for a moderate stay. The location is perfect and is close to all the attractions the Hudson Valley has to offer. This is a very good option for people relocating to or on assignment in the area. It is a much better option than most extended stay hotels. Of all the amenities, the best are the owners -- Jim and Norma. Extremely gracious hosts who will go out of there way to make you feel comfortable.

Beautiful Historic Millbrook

The room was quaint with a futon bed, full kitchen, and TV. Situated on 35 acres of forested land, the area around the house has lovely outdoor landscaping. Situated seconds from historic Millbrook and scenic Innisfree Gardens www.innisfreegarden.org, the studio is also a convenient two hour train trip to the city.
