Recently remodeled modern duplex on the Oceanside 5 minute walk to the beach. Great living area with a state-of-the-art kitchen that has stainless appliances, is stocked for a chef, and has a granite countertop that functions as a working and eating bar. There is also a separate dining area. The living room has a large gas log fireplace and a 50" flat screen TV with cable, internet, WiFi, and a DVD player. The first floor has 2 bedrooms (one King Bed and one Queen Bed). Bath has a large walk-in shower. Outside has a 14'x24' screened porch with a hot and cold shower as well as a separate 14'x14' sun deck. The second floor has 2 bedrooms (each with super-quiet HVAC split system for individual comfort settings): one with Queen Bed and one "Kids Retreat" bedroom with 2 daybeds+trundles, plenty of room for activity, and puzzles and toys provided. The upstairs bathroom is large with a deep tub and spray shower. The owner's artwork and other surprises are found throughout the house.

Sea fishing trip

Had a great time staying at this property the owner was very helpful she would reach out when needed through the app to chat. The cleanliness we found some leftover party balloons under our bed but besides that this place was great for me and my family. We felt at home and the kids really Enjoyed all the toys it made their day ! Thank you

Sun and sand

First time to Emerald Isle, the house was lovely and well appointed. Plenty of gathering spaces and all the amenities that a beach house requires. The manager was very helpful and made sure all was as expected. Should we return to E.I. We will surely use the house again.

Emerald Isle 2023

This property is well maintained and is dog friendly which is a "plus" in our household. The Owner and Property Manager were very responsive to our questions and made us feel right at home. We found the location convenient to the beach as well as to the retail and entertainment areas of the island. Lots of nice "extras" are provided such as beach chairs, beach cart and gas fired grille. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at "Peter Pan House"

Wonderful Beach property on Main Drag

Great house with 2 nice size bedrooms and a roomy living room /kitchen all on main floor with shared full bath. And two more generous size bedrooms upstairs and shared full bath. Lovely. Home. Looks newly remodeled and updated. Got a Quick response from owner when we lost the internet temporarily. Well supplied kitchen . Note Golf Carts are illegal on Emerald Dr (Main Drag) although the house is very close to access side street James Dr—but cops do give out tickets for Golf Carts on Emerald Drive. Owner indicated there are attempts to change the rules for some groups of people on EI. TBD. Plenty of nice parking area at house even though 1/2 of it is for downstairs renters. I would rent this house again easily. (Also its very close to my sisters home!)

Around the corner

Nice place to stay just down the street from the beach. Extremely enjoyed the back porch for my coffee/reading and hanging out with the our little dogs. All it needs is a porch fan. It was peaceful.

Amazing place to spend a week with kids!

The 1st thing that we loved was the layout of the home. Having 3 children, the youngest only 2, we were worried about having separation between families so that everyone could have quiet time and we were pleasantly surprised at how the layout provided that privacy. The beach was a short walk which did get a little bit cumbersome with all the kiddos but it wasn't anything that we weren't prepared for. The response time of our host was amazing anytime we needed anything she was a short phone call away. Love this place and hope to return in the future!

Awesome VRBO!

We were only able to stay a short weekend for a family members wedding but we will be staying at this home again! It was beautifully decorated, conveniently located to beach, stocked with everything you could imagine for a family. This house is roomy with 4 bedrooms, cozy screened in back porch, & a awesome kitchen. This is the best VRBO we’ve ever rented.

Croatan Buck Fifty stay

Me and my family enjoyed our stay. My daughter especially loved the games and books everywhere. Nice back deck and porch. Plenty of room in the house. Would definitely stay again.

The house was just dirty. Grime on the hand rail going up to the second floor.

Not good. Caked up grime on the two wooden chairs on the arms in the living room, coffee machine didn’t work, frying pan worn out, no lighting on back porch, killed about 3 roaches, no ceiling fans anywhere, 2 rooms no tv’s. I’m just disappointed in myself could have had a much bigger house on the water for the same price. I do not recommend anyone to stay there. Whoever supposedly cleans up does a very poor job.

Well it was 2/3 of a mile not a bad walk but you carry chairs tarp towels snacks phone sun screen toys a 6 yr old it was not an easy walk so we thought we could bring out golf car which it is insurance and regist for state of N C and got a $50 fine

Great family vacay spot!!

This is a great house with plenty of room for everybody!! Beds were super comfy, loved the floor plan---two bedrooms downstairs, (not a lot of stairs in general for a beach house). This is artist-owned and there are so many cool special touches--a porthole, a mural or two, very cool art and decor. It is off the main road which I didn;t realize at first but that wasn't a problem for us as we had other family there who live there. Awesome screened porch on back! The only areas for improvement might be seating in the main living area that was a little more comfortable (some of us are old!!!) and a ceiling fan outside on the porch. Otherwise, this place is stocked and ready to go. Awesome linens, cool A/C and more. Super great host, love that there were beach chairs, toys for the kids, games etc. One of our best beach trips ever.

Great location, very convenient, perfect beach

This is the first time we visited emerald isle. We are very happy with everything. The house has everything we need, a short walk away to the beach and absolutely gorgeous beach. Wish we could stay longer, but we will definitely come back.

Great value!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was clean, quiet, everyone had a place to sleep, we didn't feel cramped, and we never ran out of hot water (which is rare)! We especially loved the screened-in porch (with shower) and deck. The walk to the beach was short and enjoyable, with easy access. We had four generations of family with us, and all ages had a great time!

Great location, wonderful floor plan

We loved being on the bike path, but also a short walk to the beach. The neighborhood was quiet but also very close to stores. The floor plan was perfect for us.

I am a National Artist who has had the fun of doing work for the Smithsonian, Brooks and Dunn, AKC, National Cutting Horses and Clients throughout the world and winning national awards. My Media is Dry Brush Watercolor and I have been a College Professor and still teach private lessons. My son is my Apprentice who also is a Muralist and a Tattoo Artist. I now live in Beaufort on the water. You will find prints of my works throughout the house and murals by my son Ryan.

How could an Artist not fall in love with such a beautiful place. The beach changes every day and the Sunsets are amazing it is so inspiring and so calming. Not only the sunsets but the morning walks on the beach watching the sun come up over the water takes your breath away. Bogue Island which Emerald Isle is located on the west end, has beaches that face South so the sun rises from the Ocean and sets in the Ocean....WOW.... Enjoy it all day long but watch the sun burn.

My family loved living here and still loves coming back for a visit.

My home is unique. Only one room has a flat ceiling. So each room is a white canvas for art. In the next 5 years you will see more murals being added to the house to go with its name, 'Second Star to the Right '. Yes, that is Peter Pan but the paintings will be not just for kids but also adults. So not only will you have a wonderful beach experience but a unique living experience seeing how artists expel on their ideas. Come and watch the house morf into an experience itself.
