This tiny cottage has it all! Private laundry, a kitchen, comfortable Queen bed and most importantly an authentic Savannah historic district home in a great walkable location!

Part of a historic railroad worker's cottage 'triplex' compound, this cottage built in the 1870's has a shared yard space with walkway to Jones Street. There is no shared interior space in this rental, so you will have privacy. The cottage has a Queen bed, a small kitchenette with a cooking range, a washer/dryer and a bathroom with shower. This is a great spot for someone without a car. If you have a car, parking for this cottage is free on the street (Jones Street). This location is half a mile from the Riverfront.

A lovely cottage! We were in town for a show at Enmarket Arena. This was the perfect spot. Easy, reasonable Uber to Enmarket. The cottage was perfect. The bed is incredibly comfortable. Communication with the host was impeccable. We’ll be back.

The cottage was very comfortable and had all the amenities necessary. The location is right off of beautiful Jones Street, a very quiet and peaceful spot. We walked into the town. We parked right on the street and it was free.

Quaint, quirky little cabin in a nice historic neighborhood. Pretty easy walking distance to almost everywhere we wanted to go. We liked the little kitchen, the washer/dryer and the little outdoor courtyard. It was nice to have a 3-ring binder of useful information, recommendations, etc. The place was well stocked with all the towels, soap, utensils, etc. that we needed. The were only two negatives: (1) The walls are thin, and we could hear our next-door neighbors pretty easily; and (2) The ceiling register by the closet directed a blast of air at one side of the bed, and I woke up with a bad sore throat the first morning. The latter was a simple enough fix -- I used a broom handle to adjust the louvers on the register so air was directed away from the bed. (It was too high for me to reach by standing on a chair.) Overall, a good experience. I would recommend to others and would probably stay there again.

Bottom of apartment door rubs, which makes it a bit difficult to enter. (Best bet was to kick the bottom of the door.) I would have liked some sort of communication with the property owners, even just an email to say “Let us know you’ve arrived and have settled in.” It was very much an absentee landlord experience.

We send a step by step guide to find this tiny cottage and how to enter it, where to park, etc. If people have any questions or problems they have our phone number and email! If we do not hear from guests it is true that we assume things are fine. There are plenty of rentals that are managed by overseas 800 number hotline companies! We are more personal than that but not trying to hang out with you. Not every traveler wants a host to be poking around bothering them and fishing for compliments LOL but we live here in Savannah, if anything goes wrong. Sorry this guest expected more interaction than simply setting the cottage up for his arrival and letting him know how to find it and get in the door.

I chose Savannah because of the big city feel of the events and tourist traffic combined with a small town sense of knowing people everywhere I go. I love the beauty of the relatively tiny one-square mile walkable downtown Historic District area. I love the familiarity of everything here combined with the constant influx of new energy from the college and the visitors from all over the world.

I have never seen anything quite like this Historic District cottage compound! What a great opportunity to help me meet the housing needs for the 12 million tourists + executive housing phone calls I get daily. And since I used to live on the same block I knew first hand this was a great location. I get calls every day from people who do not need a lot of space and want convenient lodging in the Historic District with a low price. This is it!
