Relax in a swing by the lake or gaze at a chimnea on the deck under the stars to melt your stress away. Relax on a private lake--swim, float, canoe, kayak and fish. Expansive decks offer you a chance to relax and enjoy the mountain scenery. Be sure to bring your fishing gear as there are plenty of fish to be caught just off your deck.

A cozy get away for a week-end or a week relaxing in upstate SC. This two bedroom one bath home sleeps 6 in a newly updated cabin beside the lake. Enjoy all the comforts of home while taking in the quiet beauty of the natural surroundings.

Lots of hiking and waterfalls nearby. Visit Oconee county website: visitoconeesc.com for a list of waterfalls, hikes and other activities near the cabin.

Great cabin in a great location.

Property was nicely kept and matched online descriptions. Owners were communicative and very accommodating. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

gorgeous views of the lake

we went to celebrate our son's birthday. no fish was caught (he is 8 now, he really hoped to catch one), but beautiful memories were made. the house is made for relaxation. cushy furniture that hugs you, lots of fishing related decor. we had a good time. saw waterfalls, went on hikes..we live in south florida, so it wasa change of scenery and weloved it.

Lovely vacation home!

Cabin is right on beautiful lake with wonderful swimming, canoe and kayaks provided. The house is well equipped with all you need. Beautiful floor to ceiling windows facing the lake.

Perfect Spot to Relax

This property is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Beautiful Sunsets over the water every night added to the ambiance. Clean Fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook. Plenty of water craft "toys" to enjoy the lake! Property manager "owners" were very responsive!

Mt. Rest Lake Getaway

Awesome place!! View is amazing. House was clean and very well decorated. We had a great time and were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. It’s not far from Clayton or Cashiers so we went for some good eats. We will definitely stay there again in the future!!

Nice outdoors setting

Very appreciative of the property owner letting us know that our stay was extended until noon and that we can come early. Instructions were well documented, and neighboring property owners were all very friendly, would highly recommend for vacation getaway

Great, quiet getaway

Very nice place in a quiet area, felt like home. Lots of blowups to enjoy the water and kayaks, canoe and paddle boat. I think the grandkids and pappy used them all except the paddle boat.

Mountain Rest Lake House

This cozy lake house had beautiful views, was spacious, comfortable and situated in a perfect location amidst so many hiking trails and Clemson. Our hosts were very accommodating and provided a great guestbook of local highlights. We were very happy with our stay and would love to return.

Great cabin!

We had a wonderful time at the Mountain Rest Lake cabin! It has everything we needed in such a beautiful setting. It was peaceful & fun for my husband, daughter & I. Our daughter loved kayaking for the first time! The fishing was great but we’ll catch more during our next stay. Can’t wait to go back!

Exactly what we wanted and needed!

The perfect spot for a getaway with my husband. We loved the property and the location. We appreciated the restful space and the more quiet residential lake. Also- the bed and bedding was super comfortable! We’re already discussing our next stay!

Great Stay!

Beautiful weather, lake is gorgeous, cabin great! We truly enjoyed our visit to the cabin. Just what the “Doctor Ordered”. Check in was easy and owners very accessible. Highly recommend. We will be going back! Thank you, Marilyn and Kent.

It was a great cabin with an awesome lake view. Everything needed was provided. The area was very quiet and the view of the stars at night was superb! I highly recommend!!

Relaxing fishing destination

This was a great trip (4 nights) for myself and 2 other college buds to who enjoy fishing, talking old times and relaxation. We fished the lake and the nearby river and had a good time. Looking forward to a return trip in the future. Owners were great communicators prior to our trip and after our checkin. Billy H

Fall weekend getaway

Great cabin on a gorgeous lake. Cabin was well appointed with the usual comforts of home. Has a paddle boat, canoe, and kayaks. Plenty of fish in the lake. Very peaceful and nice area. Would absolutely go back. Wonderful tucked away spot in the mountains and on a lake. What more could you ask for?

Relaxing week at Mountain Rest Lake

The cabin had a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed swimming, a little fishing, and using the pedal boat to see the rest of the lake. The cabin was well stocked, and we were happy to use the gas grill and the chiminea. My husband and I needed a trip to a quiet mountain lake far from the city for our vacation. And that is what we got during this relaxing vacation.

Perfect

My wife and I went for a quick stay from Thursday - Sunday. Friday we went White water rafting in the Nantahala River. I would highly recommend the restaurant Dakota Grill, however it is only open between 5-7 PM. The tailgate and game is always great fun. The house was perfect we wish we would have had more time to stay and do some adventures.

Perfect Retreat

Two adults and two kids (3,6) fit perfectly in this adorable cabin by the lake. Owners were incredible, and we were impressed by just how much the cabin had to offer in terms of household supplies, entertainment (water toys, board games, books, DVDs), and incredible outdoor space. The property is perfectly situated between lots of hiking trails and waterfalls (we visited Issaqueena Falls and Stumphouse Tunnel) and not too far from Clemson. 100% recommend
