THE EAGLES NEST with SPECTACULAR MOUNTAIN & YELLOWSTONE RIVER VIEWS
Imagine waking up in the morning walking around the corner and glancing through the windows taking in the amazing views of the Yellowstone River, Sepulcher Mountain and Electric Peak. Many mornings you will see elk grazing just outside the living room windows. It is a site to be seen and enjoyed!!
Throughout Gardiner and the areas around Yellowstone National Park - there is nothing quite like The Eagles Nest at Yellowstone.
This wonderful and spacious cabin is located just off the Yellowstone River. Only a few hundred yards away from Yellowstone National Park, 4-miles from the Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance to YNP, and close to Mammoth Hot Springs, mountain biking and all the wildlife you can imagine.
The Eagles Nest at Yellowstone is self-contained with wilderness furnishings in the living area, crisp linens, plush towels, books, SMART TV (must have your own Netflix account), DISH TV Network, WIFI access, a complete fully-stocked kitchen with refrigerator, microwave, range, dishwasher, washer & dryer, coffeemaker, coffee and teas, gourmet spices and sauces, an outdoor grill and a wonderful covered patio for relaxing after a day of hiking, horseback riding or rafting on the Yellowstone River. Restaurants and local shopping are within a ten minutes driving distance and Chico Hot Springs Spa & fine restaurant are a half hour away.
This Yellowstone cabin is a delightful place from which to navigate your Yellowstone National Park vacation, and you can even walk to the park directly from our driveway, only 1500 (approx) feet away. Enjoy a BBQ on the patio, a marshmallow roast at the fire pit by the river or a relaxing stroll down our rural road, away from the noises of the city.
Just under 48 miles to Livingston, and 1 1/2 hours from Bozeman Airport, the location is convenient yet very private. Feedback for our cabins has been consistently wonderful.

We do occasionally see bears, mountain lions, wolves, bison and rattlesnakes on the property and we frequently have deer and elk - especially in the spring and fall. The property does have exterior cameras to for the protection and safety of our property and guests. Many times the elk will eat right outside the patio and bed down for the day. Please do not approach or feed any of the wildlife. You should always maintain 25 yards distance between elk, deer & bison and 100 yards from bears, wolves and mountain lions.

Clean place , well kept and lots of things to help make the stay comfortable .Directions were easy to understand and implement. My only issue and it’s very small is that we had to tote our trash 3 miles down the road.

Each cabin is the same size....I'm not sure what to tell you there. Regarding the trash - yep, we live in grizzly bear country. No one residence south of Livingston proper has "trash service" like they do in the big cities without grizzly bears. Therefore, each guest is responsible for properly depositing their trash at the 2 identified locations (9 & 12 miles) away. We prefer our bear neighbors over the "convenience" of trash service. Also, the hotels in town do have trash pick up as they are commercial locations. So if that is what you seek, there is always that option. Our group of 6 stayed at Eagles a nest whilst visiting YNP. We found the place clean, spacious and beds comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped so that you can easily prepare meals. The bedrooms each have 2 queen beds and plenty of cupboard and floor space for your luggage and belongings. We were able to spread out as a large group and have space to relax after a long day.

We loved this location. It was very near the North Entrance to Yellowstone. Also, it was very close to the Yellowstone River. The cabin has a fabulous view from the Family Living space of Mountains. We loved watching the birds and we had a Pronghorn Antelope hang out in the front yard. The cabin was very clean!! We highly recommend renting this location.

I keep hearing of the pronghorn hanging out in the yard and you are incredibly lucky to have experienced that. I have never in 11 year seen a pronghorn on the property. I've had several reports this year and LOVE IT. Super special moment for you and your family. We'd love to have you back in the future.

Home was clean and easy to access. Extensive list of do’s and don’ts. Listing claimed bathroom linens were provided however no hand towels or wash clothes were provided, only a make-up cloth and bath towels. Out of courtesy, advised host that we checked out early due to weather issue on travel home and never received any communication in return.

Your review has many inaccuracies, so let me assist in clarification. We DO provide bath towels, hand towels, washcloths, and makeup washcloths. Did you bother to look in the vanity cabinet drawers? I'll answer that - you did not, or you would have found them...in BOTH bathrooms.
Yes, you sent a message that your, "flight may be cancelled or delayed due to a nor'easter" and were checking out early. That was your decision. What response are you looking for? The message didn't require a response.

We didn’t get there till late and left early. Place was clean and nice. Park was super close and convenient. The only complaint I have is for the amount of money we spent, it would of been nice if they had supplied the shampoo, conditioner and body soap… I’d definitely recommend tho 😊

We absolutely loved staying at Eagles Nest! It was so clean and updated, very well stocked, and our kids loved seeing the wildlife right out the window. It is close to town/park entrance, yet far enough away to have privacy and space for the kids to play.We will definitely stay again!

A beautiful place to stay close to the park, we loved watching the wildlife nearby too! The space was perfect for our family of 6. Be prepared for some gravel road driving, but it was easy to find. We would definitely stay again!

The cabin was fantastic. The listing does not do it justice. Plenty of room for 2 couples, clean, right near the river, and an herd of elk across the driveway! We would definitely stay here again.

Great location for visiting YNP
We had a great stay at Eagles Nest! Everything was exactly as pictured/described and the proximity to the Yellowstone North entrance was super covenient. Enjoyed Gardiner as well, Super cute town.

Love that you enjoyed the Eagles Nest as much as we do and the town of Gardiner. Both are pretty special places. The town of Gardiner has been hit hard the past few years (first with Covid and a major fire that took out several businesses and employee housing in 2020 and then the historic 500 year flood of 2022). This little town is quite the place and the residents are so appreciative of everyone who sees just how special this place is. We'd love to have you back in the future!

We loved the Eagles Nest! The beautiful views of the mountains and the elk we got to se every day! Only thing did not like the road to get there!

If there were issues with the road, please feel free to contact Yellowstone National Park & Park County, Montana - they share in maintaining the gravel road to the cabin. Happy you loved the view, your experience at the cabin and our amazing wildlife that visits the yard - so you can enjoy them while you are relaxing on the patio.
Sometimes, the road less travelled is worth it!!

Great Yellowstone Cabin!
We loved our time at this cabin. Location is great and the house is very comfortable after a long day in the park. Beds and showers great. View is wonderful. Highly recommend!

Incredible place!
Could not ask for a better place to stay! Saw elk and a bald eagle during our stay, close to Yellowstone but not crowded, smooth check-in/check-out, and a perfectly clean and updated cabin. 10/10 would recommend!

Yellowstone National Park has always held a special place in my heart. I've been visiting the park on an annual basis since 1999 (sometimes several times a year) and each trip is unique and special in its own right.
In 2008, I brought my Dad to Yellowstone over the Thanksgiving holiday and the weather was amazing...cool & crisp but not cold and unbearable. We hiked for several hours every day and had the time of our lives. One morning we set out on an 8-mile hike. It had snowed a couple of inches the previous night and 1/2 mile into the hike we discovered we were following the tracks of a large grizzly bear. For the next 3 miles we walked in the footprints left by the great bear, armed only with bear spray, but never did see the bruin. Seeing my Dad's face light up when he realized the tracks were not very old and that we were not 'alone in the wilderness' was priceless. Because of that trip, I realized I wanted to spend as much time as possible with my Dad, enjoying moments like those while we still had the opportunity. Life is so short-make the most of it!!
Then in 2012, my entire family was able to join me in Yellowstone to celebrate my birthday. It was in that moment I decided this is where my heart is and in order to experience more lasting memories with my entire family I needed to have a place for them to call their 'home-away-from-home'.
Together, my Dad & I purchased this cabin as place to relax, watch the wildlife, fish the Yellowstone River and most importantly build more lasting memories. Being able to give my Dad the gift of owning a cabin means so much to me.
As a Vietnam Vet and someone who grew up without modern conveniences (ie: running water & indoor plumbing), owning a cabin was never on his radar. My Dad is the most kind-hearted, caring person I know and he would go the extra mile for those he cares about. Being able to give back to him was a dream come true and helping to make his dreams come true is what life is all about.

We can literally fish right from the banks of the river on the property and grill the fish minutes later while enjoying the evening from the patio...all without leaving the cabin.
We named the cabin, 'The Eagles Nest at Yellowstone' for several reasons: During our first trip to Yellowstone we saw two immature bald eagles and enjoyed watching them for quite some time. You will frequently see eagles soaring up/down the river throughout the year. Every time I see an eagle soaring I say out loud 'It's going to be a great day' and it is!! Most importantly, my Dad is a Vietnam Vet and every time I see an eagle I'm reminded of the sacrifices he and so many other military families make to protect and preserve our freedom. The eagle is the epitome and national symbol of that freedom. Watching an eagle soar on the wind of the Yellowstone ecosystem is a magical experience.
Also, the Park boundary is less than 1500 feet from the driveway and the North Entrance to Yellowstone is only 4-miles away. We wanted something close to the park but not overly commercialized or populated. This cabin was close, convenient and had the space we needed.
With 2 bedrooms (4 Queen beds) and 2 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining area, living room and covered patio, we knew our needs were covered. Being able to share this property with others is exciting. Each trip to Yellowstone is different and offers a whole new experience. Whether you are coming for adventure, hiking, sight-seeing, fishing, wildlife viewing or photography this is the place to be!!
It was also important to me that we had a cabin where wildlife were welcome. Occasionally we will have bison, deer or elk in the yard and rarely a grizzly bear. Always be aware of your surroundings when in/near Yellowstone. This is their home too.
