This home is situated on MOUNTAIN ISLAND LAKE in Charlotte.
Enjoy the beauty of Mountain Island Lake in this beautifully furnished waterfront home.

This house has 3 bedrooms and 2
full baths. The master bedroom has a king bed and a crib. The
second bedroom has a queen bed. The 3rd bedroom has a queen & a twin loft.- It's a great room for all of the kids. (There are also 2 daybeds in 2 semi-private rooms. Because you have to walk through them to access other room, I do not count them as full bedrooms, but they do have comfortable beds and I allow for the extra guests so I count the 2 rooms as 1 bedroom in the listing).

The open, well-lit, eat-in kitchen with center island is well equipped.
The sun room has a playroom for the children and amazing views of the lake.

This house is strictly NON SMOKING. Please smoke outside only and dispose of your cigarette garbage in appropriate containers.
Outside we offer a dock with table, chairs and benches, 2 swings over the water, children's play areas, an outdoor shower with hot and cold water, a fire pit, etc. Rope swing is not able to be used by tenants, sorry!
Some pets considered with deposit.

Fabulous home with an amazing view of the lake! We adored this for our family vacation. The kids had lots to play with and loved exploring the yard. The extras for the kids on their room as well as the cute sleeping arrangement was perfect for our 9, 6, 4, and 21 month old. We loved the spaciousness of the living/dining/kitchen area. The porch was the gathering place daily and all ages loved the porch swings! We had a fire outside and made s’mores one day. The kids helped pick up kindling and start the fire with the wood that was provided. Thanks for having the marshmallow roasting sticks to use! Everyone had their own sleeping space and the use of the laundry room really helped. It couldn’t have been a better, more relaxing vacation.

Mountain Island Lake

We moved our son to UNCC for school and spent a few days together getting some R&R. This home is fantastic with a beautiful view of the lake and very peaceful. I highly recommend staying here rather than any hotel.

Relaxing Stay

The entire facility and setting are very comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed kayaking on the lake and sitting on the deck by the lake.

A rustic setting and house. Our two highlights were the enclosed back porch and the beautiful deck overlooking the water. However, a few things would have made our time more enjoyable. The houseboat parked on the dock took up half the space and eliminated the potential for our grandchildren to get to the water, fishing, etc. Deck furniture could have used additional cushions, and there was no umbrella over the table, as pictured. The Weber grill had a lot of grease buildup, causing major flare-ups, plus the grease tray needs to be emptied. Another small issue, the kitchen was not too organized. Dishes, bowls, etc., were stored in various cabinets, resulting in additional time for meal prep. I trust the owners will consider making a few changes to enhance the enjoyment of the next family.

What a wonderful lake house

Our stay at this cozy beautiful lake house was amazing. It is so cute, the outdoor lakeside is beautiful and we had everything we needed for cooking our meals. The house is well stocked and has many little extras that will delight. Every detail was well thought out to give the best experience possible. Will definitely be back.

Owners are wonderful.

We enjoyed our time immensely while in town for Morgan Wallen. Owners were very timely in responding and conscious of our personal comfort. Beautiful area. Would definitely recommend a stay.

Perfect lake getaway

This house is adorable, cozy, and felt like home! Perfect for children! The dock was fun and had plenty of shade to escape the sun. There were also tons of paddle boards and kayaks to enjoy the calm waters. Highly recommend for any easy lake getaway.

Joyful Family Vacation at the Lake

Lovely home with plenty of room for 5 adults and two children. Loved the enclosed porch, yard and great deck down at the lake. Access to the pontoon boat was a great plus!

Family Lake Vacation

This home was perfect for our family goals of R&R to kick off the summer. The listing was exactly as listed. Beautiful lake views and a warm and welcoming house. The host had firewood and S'more supplies as a welcoming gift. The fit pit was a perfect way to end our days. We loved the lightening bugs in the backyard in the evening. One more unlisted favorite: my 14 year old daughter loved the rock painting supplies!

Great lake house close to Charlotte

we stayed for a weekend wedding in northern Charlotte. I wish we could have spent more time at this house and rented the pontoon boat to go into the larger late. Circumstances limited us to just enjoying the porch and the nice lake deck with some friends one afternoon.

Perfect weekend getaway!

This cute lake house had everything we needed for our weekend with family! The house was well equipped, and even had lots of cleaning supplies, which is always appreciated! We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the dock, had a fire one night in the fire pit, and grilled one evening. It’s close to Charlotte all kinds of activities! Thank you!!

A Peaceful and Beautiful Lake Getaway

There are so many good things to say about this property. It is spotlessly clean. Inviting and welcoming. Quiet and safe. Simply bring your personal items and some groceries and you can be right at home. Shopping and groceries are nearby. Dozens and dozens of restaurants Doordash to the address. The sunroom out back is steps from the lake. Mountain Island Lake is a clean and beautiful lake. This home is located in a sweet little cove off the main channel. It doesnt get a great deal of boat traffic. The owner has included many nice touches to help you enjoy your stay. My sister and niece were obsessed with the paddleboards! The owner is responsive and a pleasure to speak with. We loved our stay! It was far too short! A friend of mine who came by for lunch already wants to rent it for his birthday next year! I can't wait to stay again! Don't hesitate. Rent this one.

Mountain Island Escape

First of all this is a hidden Gem in the Charlotte area. With Lake Norman, Lake Wylie and others in competition Mt Island is a great choice for a lake property. Here are some of things we loved. 1. Location 2. Quiet neighborhood Plenty of indoor and outdoor space 3. Pontoon boat on property that makes it an easy way to enjoy the lake at fraction of the cost to rent a vessel 4. Cross-functional living areas (you can easily have 2 or 3 families stay at the same time with the flex space and 3 bedrooms 5. Grocery stores and restaurants about 5 minutes away 6. The owners care about thier guests (they go above and beyond to make everything is just right) Jim G

Mountain Island Lake Gem!

I have rented before on this App but have not found hosts who are more accommodating.! They were quick to respond to questions we had early in our stay and made sure we were well taken care of. The entire process booking for an out of town celebration could not have been easier! The home was clean, well furnished and spacious. The location on the Lake was on a quiet bay . Fire pit lakeside was a plus as was the spacious dock on the water! Can't go wrong with this rental.
