**THIS IS A LEGAL VACATION RENTAL** Alohana Monte Vista 1005. 10th floor 2 Bedroom - Free Wifi, Cable TV & Free Parking. Located beside the Ala Wai Canal this 2 bedroom1 bath condo at the Monte Vista features stunning views of the Ko'olau Mountain range looking across the Ala Wai golf course. The condo has hardwood floors throughout and features a "Jack and Jill bathroom"*. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a window AC, and the second bedroom has 2 twin beds. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress, a ceiling fan and a 46" flat screen TV. The full-size kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, 4 burner stove with oven, refrigerator, dining table and a laundry center. There's a pool area with charcoal BBQ and an ocean view but we've also provided 2 backpack beach chairs for adventures on the beach and outdoors!

The rental includes high-speed internet/WIFI, 1 parking

*A Jack and Jill bathroom is a bathroom with two doors, usually accessible from two bedrooms.

I’ll never go back

Location was good and convenience however the air conditioner was broken and there was no water in the pool!We couldn’t enjoy in the facilitycan’t believe why property management people didn’t know about it??

Great vacation for the whole family

The place was great for what we were needing. Fans and stove are a bit outdated but they work and we3 loved every minute of our vacation.

Location location location

Great location. Great views it was really close to everything from beach to convenient stores. Aside from the Wi-Fi and cable being down more than half of our stay it was great I would definitely choose this place again.

Comfortable abode

Liked the view of the canal, mountains, and golf course. There is quite a bit of deferred maintenance: No pool access, even though it was advertised, vacuum cleaner broken in half, lights not working: kitchen over sink, twin room fan light. Beach chair and umbrella broken, sauce pan(bottom came apart while cooking). Fan towers had dirty filters. Dead bolt needs work. Some water damage on table and bench (laminate a little bubbled). Broken refrig parts, transition board missing to 2nd bedrm. Might consider replacing or getting rid of broken items, added more spoons (only had 2 small), a new broom. A big added item would be a wagon to walk to the beach. It was a convenient location.

Casual stay

Nice place ,but a little dated. The wind made the patio door and bedroom windows rattle alot We really enjoy our visit, since we just used it for a place to sleep and breakfast in the morning

Pretty much as advertised, but an older unit that showed its wear.

View was amazing and matched the pictures posted. The pictures of the condo were shot in a very forgiving light.

Good location, decent

It is a good location with a great view and only a couple blocks to the beach which is perfect if you just want to walk there or to the shops. The place is pretty worn and dated though. It is right on the main street, so it is loud all night and there are a lot of homeless people that will sleep outside.

Family vacation

The view from the master bedroom is amazing. Lots of traffic noise and sirens from police vehicles. Very old condo that is in need of some love. Stove is in ruff shape. It served our purpose and in no way effected our vacation in a negative way. Short walk to Waikiki, maybe 5 minutes.

Beautiful location with Parking

We had a wonderful time during our Oahu trip in May. The place was clean, all appliances worked, and basic supplies provided (tp, dish soap, etc.). The location was great and within easy walking distance of numerous restaurants and Waikiki beach. The view out of the unit was beautiful and we felt we had plenty of room. While I had to read the checkin instructions closely, they were accurate and I had no issues during checkin. Maybe the best perk of all was.....a free parking spot. I've heard numerous folks say they didn't like Oahu compared to the other islands. But from those discussions, that is because they didn't go anywhere beyond where they stayed and could walk to in Waikiki b/c they didn't rent a car. And If you don't rent a car, you'll miss out on 75% of the beauty of Oahu. And if you do get a car, the free parking spot is a big money saver. I would rent this unit again.

Fun stay close to Waikiki

Place was clean and spacious for the little time we spent in it. The pool was nice to cool off in before bed. Beds were comfortable. It was nice to have a kitchen. Views were beautiful! There are no locks on any inside doors so private moments (showering, toilet, intimacy) were difficult. Parking height is only 6'2" so the car we rented didn’t fit in the garage. Parking each night was a nightmare and really put a damper on things at the end of everyday. We tried switching our rental to a shorter van but nothing was available. This would have been good information to have been given before we decided to rent. Also, small things like garbage liners that actually fit the kitchen garbage can would have made things nicer.

Clean but not Comfy

Pluses: The apartment was very clean and it is a short walk to Waikiki beach-- which was nice. Minuses: This is way too small to be advertised as fitting 6 people, especially if they are adult size. I would never bring little kids to this apartment because it's on the 10th floor, and the door to the balcony doesn't lock. It's super noisy at night from the cars on the street below. The oven only heated up to 350* so when we cooked most of our food it took forever-- like pizza. The AC is in the main bedroom, and it barely cools down the tiny apartment. There was a fan in the other room that blew a lot of warm air around. It was not comfy at night because the AC is loud and the apartment is mostly hot in the other rooms. The toilet was having flushing issues the first day we were there, and I tried to contact the manager and I left a message for help. I heard nothing back, so my son fixed the toilet so we could actually use it. We've stayed in a lot of AiBNBs and this was probably our least favorite.

Can find better for price — Poor management communication but in decent location

Our accommodation was just okay, and far too costly for the poor management communication and amenities offered. From the time of reservation, we received a series of emails with disjointed and fragmented instructions listing only a portion of the information needed to make our stay more comfortable. We were emailed three separate times to confirm exact check in time and submitted our information several times in provided links/forms/portals. The same occurred during check out. Additionally, we received strange texts near the end of our stay trying to correct a guest’s behavior through apparent real-time camera monitoring? Very poor communication from beginning to end. Next, the A/C situation was quite poor. There was a small A/C unit in one room, and even with the doors open all day long, the other rooms were sweltering. Lastly, the apartment is in need of a good cleaning. The floors were quite dirty, and the couches in the common area were old and dirty. The location was convenient for Waikiki and the view from the apartment was nice. Overall though, we expected more for the price.

Furchtbar, nur der Parkplatz ist sein Geld wert

Leider stimmt die Bewertung nicht mit der Realität überein. Alles ist alt und am verrotten. Wir haben sonst Studios in Waikiki, da diesmal unsere Kinder mit sind haben wir ein 2 bedroom apartment gesucht. So schlimm und enttäuschend hatten wir noch keinen Urlaub.

Overall property was good. Location right across form the Ala Wai canal, close to Waikiki beach and Kalakaua ave. for shopping and entertainment. Unfortunate timing with hot tub out of service and an emergency water shutoff on the day of departure. Property management team was quick to respond to all questions, overall good place to stay for the value

Great location...beautiful view...

Great location. Parking garage was really tight..but i think thats pretty normal. Ac didn't cool off whole place but luckily there were fans. Definitely not a luxury apartment but it worked out pretty good especially for the price.

This property was close to everything and had a nice view of the canal and the golf course. Property didn't have some of the amenities area hotels offered but we were able to use nearby 24 hour fitness to workout while our stay so it wasn't a deal not having a gym. Overall we were very happy with the location and the property so we would consider staying at the property again.

The place looked beat up. The walls were marred the shower head was broke, leaking the dishwasher was not draining, Cabinets were not working correctly Lots of little ants.
