Our cabin is set up for relaxation and down time. We have kept most of the old fashion appeal of days gone by or vacations spent as a child. We kicked it up a notch with the extensive decks and covered hot tub and newly appointed stainless appliances with concrete counter tops. We kept the cushy furniture and antique touches leaving a feeling of a true getaway. Our feeling of true perfection is not matchy-matchy furniture, but rather acquired through the years where you feel able to kick your shoes off, build a fire, read a book and just feel simplicity. No one across the river and neighbors set a distance away. This home has the privacy many are lacking. Due to insurance requirements cameras are on site.

We didn't get to see Bigfoot, but we did see some incredible stars, and had an amazing time at Dragonfly Cove! It is a wonderful property, quiet community, a beautiful place to escape from the world for a while. The cabin is thoughtfully stocked with some pantry items, and the full kitchen is an excellent option for preparing home-cooked meals. River view soaks in the hot tub were very relaxing, and we even got some crisp nights to enjoy it. The instructions at the cabin have everything you could need, with lots of attractions and points of interest, nearby locations in case of emergency, and there are streaming services logged in for use as well. Laura is an excellent host; quick to reply, very accommodating, and made sure to make our honeymoon extra special Thank you!!

This home is wonderful in every way. We had seven people, 3 generations and we had plenty of room. The location is great for hiking and restaurants nearby.

This cabin was absolutely adorable. The views and outdoor space were amazing. The cabin was clean and stocked well with bedding, towels and fire wood for the wood stove. Would definitely return for another stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. The space and view were peaceful. We loved watching the river from the house and the hot tub! The owners were very communicative and helpful, answering all of our questions. Stay/pack out instructions were clear and made the check out process easy. We’ll definitely come back again!

This cabin was perfect for five friends and myself to celebrate a birthday over a long weekend. The pictures do not do justice to just how charming the place is. The river brings great ambiance to your stay and the hot tub was great. I will most likely look to stay here again!

Great place to stay, relaxing, private and peaceful. The beds were comfortable and the hosts were responsive, helpful and friendly. We had one small issue on arrival (with the wifi) that was quickly corrected even though we told them we could happily wait until a convenient time. Will happily book again.

Honestly this location was so wonderful! Laura and Dennis were extremely communicative and super friendly! Incredible location too! I’d recommend the Dragonfly Cove to anyone/everyone looking for a very relaxing, calming, rejuvenating stay. My one and only suggestion would be for the cleaning crew to really take care of the cobwebs. Lots in the cabinets and along the ceiling. Never saw a spider. Just a small point I’d like to mention.

Hi Adam, We appreciate the review. I have talked with housekeeping on the sneaky spiders. I try not to use sprays since we have pets, children and people with allergies. I guess I may need to spray this year as they rebuild cobwebs overnight it seems. We enjoyed hosting you. Laura

My husband and spent the week working on our books (we're both writers) and the house--and location--are perfect. Close to hikes, super cute, clean, and the river outside is stunning. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect location!

We had a great stay. A lot of hikes very close, the hot tub was nice and even though it rained during our stay, it was great to have a perfectly lovely view of the river and a nice fire in the rainy evening. The pictures do not do it justice-it is a great cabin.

Dennis after working corporate, left opening his own businesses in Athena and Helix Oregon. One of these days we hope he will retire! lol
Laura was a stay at home Mom, rearing 2 children and opened and ran a 501c non profit Akita rescue for 10 years.

Oh Goodness!
I have to tell you this was a long Journey to find the right one. We looked at so many properties. I wanted rustic- Dennis wanted a house. Unfortunately though I love the Steiner's many of the logs have not been well cared for and will cost a fortune to repair. I wanted a house with charm and good vibes. Dennis wanted new plumbing, modern amenities. We both new this was the house the minute we toured it.
