Comfortable cabin in unspoiled private woods with 3 miles of hiking trails. Just relax and enjoy the natural beauty or visit the ridge or stream on one of our hiking trails. Cabin has fire pit, picnic table, front deck. Dogs are welcome. Horseback riding available nearby. Local lakes are a 20/30 minute drive away. There are two cabins on the property, this listing is for the smaller cabin of the two - the "Chalet" cabin - sleeps 4. The larger cabin is on VRBO in a separate listing (Exeter Nature Cabins). Both cabins can be rented together for larger gatherings. See our review's! Everyone likes it here!

The cabins, located in Exeter, Maine are centrally located in Maine, a one or two hour drive from many of Maine's well known attractions - Moosehead Lake, Baxter State Park, Acadia State Park, Bar Harbor, etc.a - We are 30 minutes from Bangor, Maine and 60 minutes from Augusta, Maine.

Cozy, secluded, quiet, perfect spot for a re-set. Pet friendly. Hiking and walking trails right outside the front door. What a blissful vacation. Owner is very available and friendly. Will def stay again when we are in the area.

The chalet cabin was beautiful and a wonderful place to stay. Debbie was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

Cute little chalet cabin in the woods, too far from most conveniences for us. Dirt roads into the property were tough. The cabin needs some maintenance, kitchen ceiling was bulging in several places. Appliances, kitchen things were dirty & dusty. Many, many ants and bugs inside. Had a misty smell as if it had been closed up for months. Owners were very accommodating and put I 2 AC window units when we asked during the heat wave.

Amazing!

Great small cabin in a really cute area! Super quiet and so peaceful for a nice weekend getaway. Debbie was so kind with check in and always available. Would definitely stay here again!

Exeter has been a family gathering place and we have had numerous family holidays, get-to-gethers and two weddings here. The younger generation of our family spent their childhood exploring the woods and nature here. Betty & Richard always wanted Exeter Nature Cabins to be about keeping a natural area for animals and nature education.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

It's peaceful, beautiful, soul renewing place to stay. EVERYONE who stays here says they love it. There are activities for everyone. If your a homebody, then stay on the deck and enjoy the wildlife from there. There are hiking trails that range from leisurely to more challenging. We are just starting to build a place where folks can come and learn more about the woods and natural environment around them. We don't have those opportunites when we live in the city.
