Unit 228, which we call “Octopus Prime,” is a modern, remodeled condo at the south end of the Sea Gypsy that overlooks the famous D River and features an equally famous view of the Great Pacific.

Enjoy a spectacular, unobstructed view of the beach and the crashing waves of the ocean from a wall of windows in the living room. This unit has a king bed in the private master suite. There is also a cabinet bed in the living room that will accommodate an additional two guests.

The two full bathrooms are tastefully decorated and feature an abundance of generously sized bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. Our full kitchen will satisfy all your cooking whims. It features full-sized appliances and cupboards full of pots, pans and utensils.

This condo has seen a lot of improvements over the past few years. The owners have installed new hardwoodlike floors, new carpet and repainted.

Enjoy an indoor heated pool and sauna, as well as access to two outdoor gas grills.

Our stay

Everything with condo was great my only reason for not being a five star stay was due to the inconsiderate people above us who were extremely noisy. And sounded like elephants walking around

Great location

Rental was spacious with a terrific view of the ocean and easy beach access. It was clean and everything we needed for our stay was provided.

Beautiful View!

Octopus Prime has beautiful ocean views and a great floor plan! We loved walking on the beach and dining at Kyllo's, which is just a few steps away.

Sea Gypsy Coastal Escape

I enjoyed my stay in your condo at Sea Gypsy. Checknin was a breeze, the condo was spacious and clean, bed was comfortable, and over-all, had everytjing i needed during my stay. Can we talk about the view?! It was wonderful being right on the beach and hearing the Pacific Ocean Waves crashing into the sandy beach every night. Very peaceful! I highly recommend, and will definitely stay again next time I come to visit!

Clean, spacious

Lots of room to spread out. Great decor, well stocked kitchen. Wonderful large table for dining and puzzles. View of ocean and river is amazing. Bedroom is in back by parking lot so can be a little noisy in the morning with people starting vehicles and coming and going. Mattress is very firm, even with my own 4" memory foam topper so heads up, can make for sore body if you need a softer mattress. No streaming services as noted in description. Overall very nice rooms!

Absolutely Perfect

We had the best time. We come every year for our anniversary. This is our first time at the Sea Gypsy and we fell in love. We will never stay anywhere else.

A relaxing ocean escape

It is exactly as you see in the pictures. The view out the window is beautiful. I sat in the big comfy chair and watched the ocean and sunset many times. Well stocked. I appreciated the heads up with it being and old building and the possibility of hearing neighbors. It turns out it didn't bother us at all. A wonderful place to stay. We will definitely be back.

Great beach getaway

We had a great stay. Really enjoyed the pool and sauna and the view was spectactular. 2 negatives: the property does NOT have a fireplace as stated online (confirmed before we left, but should remove that from the website, I feel) and the fan in the room (with the heat to circulate) was very noisy/rattles.

Great View of the Ocean

We wanted a quiet place to get away and came across this listing. It was everything they said it would be. The therapeutic sound of the ocean, beautiful sunsets and seals surfing in the waves were an added bonus. The kitchen is well stocked and the condo has comfortable furniture. We look forward to staying there again soon.

The unit was adequate for what we needed. Had a couple of issues that took 3 days to fix. Enjoyed the view. Could use some updating.

Condo pretty good/building maintenance not so great

The condo was nice. Very comfortable bed. It was clean and had everything we needed. It's an old building and the Reno's made it nice. The building needed some attention. The hallways were super sandy and dirty. I didn't go in the pool because the day I went to check it out, it was late afternoon and the pool area was sandy and a bit dirty. We understand that it's difficult to get staff these days. Regardless, we wanted to mention that. All in all it was a good stay. Thanks.

Very cozy condo!

Condo was super cozy and accommodating to all our needs. We will definitely stay again! Only suggestion is, front large window did not have any window screens on either side - I would get that taken care of.
