Experience the real Costa Rica …..High above the Canopy with panoramic Ocean views. Enjoy the 40 foot infinity edge pool perched above the jungle and ocean. Above all enjoy the tranquility of being one with nature yet close enough to world class beaches (15-20 minutes), Golf at Hacienda Pinilla (15 minutes), Fine Dining (20 minutes), and the nightlife of Tamarindo (30 minutes). Most of the beach roads in Costa Rica are dirt, so a SUV 4X4 is recommended.

Guests can relax while enjoying the local scenery and wildlife all from the comfort of their own private patio and pool. This includes birds, deer and of course the amazing Howler Monkeys. If you want to enjoy nature in comfort and luxury, this is the home for you.

Unwind swimming laps in the 40 foot infinity edge pool or while doing yoga in a truly amazing setting. Or just sit back and relax with a cool beverage on the patio and enjoy the view.

This luxurious home merges the new with the old. The kitchen is fully equipped with new GE profile appliances and all the amenities of home. The structure is cement with cement floors and teak ceilings. All the furniture was handcrafted by local artisans with fine quality wood of Guanacaste and teak. The resort style 40 foot swimming pool is amazing overlooking the canopy and the ocean.

This house is definitely a destination! The property manager will greet guests and take care of all their needs during their stay. There is a live-in grounds keeper on the property 24 hours a day.

Casa Cielos

The house was amazing. Really enjoyed our stay. The pool was outstanding. Watching the monkeys, iguanas and birds added to our stay! Lazero and Christi were great at answering any questions we had. As were the home owners Becky and Mark. I would definitely recommend this home. It’s a HIDDEN GEM!!!

Simply Paradise

This place is truly paradise!! My family and I (4 adults) stayed here for 11 nights and it was amazing. The kitchen is well stocked and spacious. The property manager was easy to contact and responded quickly. Lasserio, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the daily visits from his dog, Lilu. The howling monkeys put on quite a show as well as the iguanas. This was our third stay in Costa Rica and this place was by far the best that we have ever stayed at, We love Costa Rica and can't wait to return

Wow just wow!!!

This place is simply amazing! The view the house the location all of it was just perfect! The dirt road to get there wasn't the best but once you get to the house it is totally worth the drive! The last day we had monkeys in the tree right by the pool, everyday we saw the iguanas it was magical. Kids loved it and one day wanted to skip the beach to stay at the house! Hope to be back one day again!

Great Place!

Great place. Very quiet. Pretty far from grocery stores and had to drive through a few small streams, but we enjoyed that it was remote and private. Amazing view from back patio

Second time staying here

The house is very nice and picturesque compared to the ones in the surrounding area. Our stay was at the end of the dry season, the hottest time of the year. That made having a full size private pool wonderful, it is filtered but shared with wild life so expect that. The house does show its age in areas, but has working ACs in each room, is nicely decorated and clean inside with beautiful furniture. We did have plumbing issues with the shared, full bathroom, it was snaked but continued needing to be plunged with every use, so we shared the master bath. The house was clean when we arrived and well stocked with ALL the essentials except food. Unfortunately the microwave was undependable and the coffee maker leaked. Again, this house is still nicer than most in the area. I say this because you are about 35/45 minutes removed from any area with a grocery store and half of that drive is hard rocky dirt road. So its perfect, as long as you realize the house is part of the vacation, because you wont go and come back to the house more than once maybe twice in a day. Also perfect for hosting a small family reunion, even if some family stays at a near by resort and day visits. The house draws a lot of wild life and insects because it is an oasis in a dry arid landscape. We didn't have any negative issues with this, it was actually nice. We enjoyed all the wild life, especially the iguanas that live on the roof and the geckos that live all through the house. Make sure to get an SUV.

A fabulous vacation home with amazing views.

A well designed home with owners who truly care about their guests. We loved our stay away from the crowds. The view and pool were wonderful and the kitchen was very well equipped. The beds were very comfortable and the towel supply for beach and bath was perfect. The owner and property manager were helpful during our booking and during our stay.

What a view!

This property was perfect for my family. It has been beautifully designed to make the most of the incredible view. We loved watching the monkeys, birds and resident iguana family! The pool, outdoor kitchen & entertainment system were also much appreciated! The beaches & local restaurants were great too!

Beautiful jungle home

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a stunning home nestled in the heart of the Costa Rican jungle, and it was an experience like no other. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the lush surroundings and the serene atmosphere that enveloped the property.The home itself is beautifully designed, blending seamlessly with its natural environment. Large windows offer breathtaking views of the vibrant jungle, allowing the sights and sounds of nature to fill the space. The decor is stylish yet inviting, with a perfect balance of modern amenities and rustic charm that makes you feel right at home.One of the highlights of my stay was the private pool. Surrounded by tropical plants and overlooking the jungle, it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind.The location is truly a gem. Tucked away from the hustle and bustle, it offers complete privacy while still being close to various attractions. The wildlife in the area is incredible; I spotted colorful birds, howler monkeys and iguanas adding to the enchanting experience.The hosts were exceptional, providing warm hospitality and insightful recommendations in the area. The groundsmen Lucero was so helpful.Will def recommend!

Amazing Place and As Described

The House in the Heavens is as described in the listing. It is an oasis in the jungle above the ocean. The layout, the amenities, and the pool are great. There are jungle creatures. If you aren't interested in sharing your vacation with frogs, lizards, monkeys, scorpions and the biggest damn grasshoppers I've ever seen, this is not the place for you. The road is rough (but not much rougher than most of the roads). The two local beaches are great, with a fantastic surf break (and sunset) at Playa Negra. Tamarindo is a 30-45 minute drive. You cannot walk anywhere from the casa. We didn't really need Christi or Lasero for anything, but Lasero lives on-site and is very nice and helpful. One of his dogs did bark all night a couple times. Did I mention the pool and inside/outside living space is amazing? Try to arrive in daylight, if possible. There are some great restaurants around if you look closely. We stayed at the beginning of the dry season (I think) and it probably does get pretty dried out later in the season, but was perfect for us, never used the AC. I imagine the wet season is lush and wonderful.

House in the Sky

We frequently visit Costa Rica and Casa Cielo was definitely our favorite villa we have rented. Love the open space, the layout and the view was phenomenal! We had a couple issues during our stay but Christi, the Property Manager and Lassero, the caretaker were both very responsive and resolved them in a timely manner. We will be returning to Casa Cielo for our next visit in 2023!

Fantastic view

Beautiful place, amazing view, very peaceful. Great pool. Helpfull housekeeper. A little bit away from the beach, rough road to get there (the last five km). Direction to get there the first time not as easy as it seems. Some plumbing difficulty. Overall very satisfying. Very good value for the price.

Wonderful stay!

We have been coming to Costa Rica since 2006, and this is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. Quiet, peaceful, no mechanical noise. Just the sounds of howler monkeys, parrots, and the wind. My husband and I love to cook, and the kitchen really is a chef’s dream. We will definitely be back! Thank you for the experience. Angela and Peter

Great Getaway

The House is lovely: built on a hillside with a great view, a huge accordion glass door, well equipped kitchen, infinity pool and spacious rooms, this property makes for a wonderful escape. This house is fairly secluded so a trip to the beach or store will take 20-30 mins depending on road conditions, but the outings make for great flora and fauna sightings. Lasero lives on the property and is very kind. He cleaned the pool each morning and was happy to help if we had a question.

Luxurious Private Oasis

My friends and I were in awe when we walked into this beautiful home. In the early mornings completely surrounded by nature we sat on the deck listening to the howler monkeys as we watched the day awaken. The yellow bellied fly catchers, mourning doves and tree swallows were abundant. With all the luxuries of a suburban home, we could have easily spent all our time there but adventured to the near by beaches. The rustic road trip was definitely worth it.

Heavenly!

This is absolutely the nicest property we have ever rented. The views are to die for! Beautiful craftsmanship and a layout that optimizes views, the breeze and comfortable living! Spent hours in the pool and found it difficult to leave to do our excursions. Hoping to come back and just be recluses here in the heaven above the Costa Rica jungle! Thank you to owners, property manager and onsite care taker who were always helpful and attentive to our every need and request! 100% satisfaction is too low a rating! Gracias!

Pura vida at its best!

We had an absolutely incredible time at Los Cielos. The view cannot be beat!! It was great to have all of the space, the pool, AC, and howler monkeys greeting us each day. Laserro, the caretaker is 2nd to none. He and his dog Lilu were always there when we needed something. Our contact Christie was also very responsive and answered any text quickly. This location is a fun adventure in itself! When staying here, make sure to have a 4-wheel drive. There are very bumpy roads that get worse with rain. Expect a few critters as you are in the jungle. The house iguanas were a hoot to watch and the geckos serenaded us at night. Highly recommended!!! Pura Vida!

Lovely view from the pool

The property was beautiful with flowers, tropical plants, and a beautiful pool. Great views down through the valley. We saw howler monkeys from the front door as the group of 8 with 2 babies moved through for about 30 minutes, to eat the white flowers on the trees-- right by the front gate. We saw many birds from the pool area and front door, including a painted bunting, white-throated magpie jays, hummingbirds, and woodpeckers. It was quite warm in the afternoons, with no shade around the pool area. Perhaps a triangle or rectangle sun shade sail to provide much needed shade in the heat of the afternoon? Highly recommended villa. Beautiful and peaceful!

Just what the doctor ordered!

Costa Rica is an amazing place. Great people, great food and great weather. Don’t be too put off by the $2 road on the way to the house. Once you make it to the top of the hill you will be greeted with a million $ view. Lazero is great and is only around when you need him to be. Being at the top of the hill provides a nice breeze to beat back that CR heat. The house was clean and besides small flying bugs from having the big door open, we never had any issues with anything big or scary. Not a single Scorpion or large spider to be found. The iguanas and birds provide a lot of entertainment for guests, but never in a bad way. Great restaurants on the beach are only 15-20mins away. Becky and Christie were a big help when our flight was delayed and they were flexible and willing to help with whatever they could. Overall a very relaxing vacation for our family. Just what the doctor ordered! You will not be disappointed making your next vacation a CR trip and staying at Mark and Becky’s gorgeous home.

Beautiful Home and Fantastic Stay

We had an awesome vacation at this lovely home. It is architecturally interesting, and has a great pool that opens to the indoor living area creating an awesome indoor/outdoor experience. The outdoor grilling area is also a nice added bonus. The house is fully equipped, nicely furnished and the views are amazing. Lazero, the young man who lives on the premises greeted us upon arrival and showed us the basics. He does not speak English so it was tough to learn all the ins and outs of the property. However, Becky the owner was very responsive to all our inquiries. The house has ceiling fans everywhere, and we found them to do a great job of keeping the house cool. In fact, we only had to use the AC, which works great, a few times. The only reason I couldn’t provide a 5-star rating has to do with issues not related to the design and beauty of the home, but other issues we personally found a bit problematic. Please note this is a really nice VRBO, but as someone who uses reviews extensively, I think it is important to mention some things you will likely encounter, or would want to be aware of. The house is remote, and I mean remote in the context there is nothing around the property. Yes, town and Tamarindo is only 30-40 minutes away, but once you get off the main paved road anticipate a very slow and very rough pot-hole ridden, unmaintained 20-minute dirt road drive to the property. You will definitely want to buy everything you need in advance of arriving. Additionally, if you’re there during the dry season, expect hot, dry conditions, not the lush rain-forest you might expect in other parts of Costa Rica. You should also anticipate seeing some scorpions, tarantulas and what we learned was the Giant Costa Rican Grasshopper. A harmless but intimidating creature. In the owner’s defense, this is simply due to the fact you are in the jungle. It was only a minor distraction for us but by the end of our 9 day stay we were “bugged” out. I would also have to say the house could benefit from a good deep cleaning and some minor maintenance. Upon our arrival it was certainly acceptable, but as you got into the nooks and crannies signs of surface cleaning versus deep cleaning became apparent. On balance, the pros out weigh the cons with this property. But do go in with your eyes wide open and view it as a “destination” VRBO, rather than a home you can bounce around from.

Paradise in CR

Amazing property with comfy beds and a well stocked kitchen. We loved the pool area with the Bbq. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. The property manager was always available if we had any questions, he was super helpful and friendly. We were there with our 5 year old son. This house is close to a small town with some great restaurant options, also close to playa Avellana and Tamarindo
