Gull Reef 635 | Beachfront Resort with Pools

Gull Reef 635 has been professionally decorated and renovated with all new furnishings and decor throughout. Located in the Gull Reef building of Tybee's Beachside Colony, Gull Reef 635 is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom condo which features a partial side ocean view from the private balcony. The Beachside Colony Resort has two swimming pools, direct beach access, and Tybee Island's only oceanfront dining experience, The Deck, where fresh coastal flavors meet panoramic Atlantic views. The building has elevator access. You will be located right across the street from Memorial Park featuring a playground, volleyball courts, basketball courts, tennis courts, and the Library and YMCA.

This condo has been recently updated by a professional designer and offers a nicely appointed condo with guest's comfort in mind. The professionally decorated living area has a large flat-screen Smart TV and a Queen sleeper sofa. The contemporary design includes an open floor plan with balcony access. The dining area has a large dining table with seating for 6 and a breakfast bar with seating for 3. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a stacked washer and dryer for guest use. The view from the attached balcony looks out to the ocean from the side of the building.

The Primary suite has an attached bath with an all-new walk-in shower and a flat-screen TV. The primary bedroom also opens to the balcony which connects to the living area balcony as well. The two guest bedrooms share a bathroom in the hall with a tub and shower combination. The 1st guest room has a King size bed and a flat-screen TV. the second guest bedroom is furnished with 2 twin beds and a flat-screen TV.

Beachside Colony has just completed an all-new expansion of the pool and patio area. Enjoy 2 brand new pools, one with a beach entry tanning ledge, all-new restrooms, and lots of space for guests to enjoy soaking in the sunshine on beautiful Tybee Island!

Beachside Colony offers pool heat between the months of October-March. Pool heat is available in one pool only and is heated based on weather and mechanics and is not a guaranteed amenity.

On arrival the door lock wouldn’t open and two tv’s wouldn’t work. The washing machine was out of order and the disposal failed mid week. While the resort and it’s amenities were nice, this unit needed attention. Management was response to communication but repairs were slow.

This is a great and convenient location with easy access to the beach and a community pool. The unit was spacious and comfortable. The pool was large and had lots of seating. The on-site restaurant was fantastic too!

Easy beach access off the pool. Restaurant on location and others within a few minutes drive. The condo was clean and location was great.

Nice family area of Tybee

Nice place, family oriented area though this area of the island is only walkable to limited restaurants, gift shops etc, . quiet and tidy.

The unit was a good size. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The walk to the beach was convenient and the beach was not crowded. We walked the beach to the pier one day and were grateful for the peace and privacy we got when we returned back (the pier was very crowded). The only negatives of the unit were we were hoping to have a better view based on the price and the lock on the front door led to many headaches. As for the resort itself, they desperately need to inspect the elevator in this building. After day 1, we opted to use only stairs, which even lugging heavy bags up three flights of stairs, led to an easier time breathing than the elevator (this did not effect our rating of the unit itself since they do not control elevator maintenance, just an FYI for future renters). We definitely recommend the place for families who like less touristy places where you can enjoy a nice peaceful getaway.

Spring break on Tybee

We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean, and nicely furnished. The kitchen was particularly well outfitted, making meal prep a breeze. My huaband, kids and I enjoyed evenings on the comfy sectional. And we all loved that the beach and pools were just steps away.

Home Away From Home

The property was great. I wish the beach itself was cleaner and had more amenities, but the condo was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was exactly as described. We will definitely be back for another visit.

Great place to stay

It was a very cold and rainy weekend in Tybee Island and Savannah. We spent most of Saturday in the condo. It was very comfortable and nice place to relax. Everything looked really clean and well stocked with towels and sheets. Would definitely recommend other stay there. 5 minute walk to beach but short driving distance to restaurants and shops.

Getaway with a friend

Condo was nice and well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of linens. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Nicely decorated. No problems with the parking plenty of spaces. Pool area was very nice and the pool side restaurant had good food.

Huge condo

We loved the spaciousness of this condo. Having 2 king sized beds was so nice. The kitchen was nice and spacious and very well stocked with everything we needed. Nice view of the beach and nice covered parking. We will be back!

It had a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, our first night was cold and they weren't able to get heat on until the next evening. The managers kept me informed all along the way and the service man was personable. I am pretty housebound so having comfortable, airy and relaxing space with good kitchen materisls is very important. My family was able to do their thing and i was comfortable at the site. The parking area is a little confusing. Eventually, we figured it out. We did need to go to the Rental Office to get parking passes the next day.

Girls Weekend

This property was fantastic. It had everything that we needed and was very comfortable. The location was great and the property was very clean. I LOVE that they don't use heavy/harsh chemicals to clean nor do they use air fresheners to mask odors (there weren't any) just making a point that one of my friends has asthma and we usually have to air out the place before she an even come in because most will use those smelly plug-in air fresheners. I will definitely stay that this property again if ever in Tybee.

Just as advertised

Exactly as advertised. Very spacious, comfortable beds. Great pool area, live music at the bar/restaurant. Short walk to the beach from pool area. Only one negative which was minor, brought ground coffee but coffee carafe was missing, I'm assuming someone previously broke it. There was a Keurig available, but had to buy pods, we no longer use them at home so I'll gift the rest to my neighbor.

Smelled bad

The rug in the master bedroom was soaking wet from the rain our entire stay. It smelled awful and like mold! A few family members got sick from the smell. I was really disappointed that we had to smell that the entire time.

Great stay, super convenient amenities and restaurant attached. The only complaint we have is the cleanliness; we arrived and the garbage disposal was broken with old seafood inside, smelt awful. Luckily the maintenance guy came the next day, and the host was very responsive. Big shout out to the maintenance guy for going above and beyond just fixing the disposal, and thoroughly cleaned it with bleach when he didn’t have to. Master shower doors were a bit grimy but everything else was spectacular.

Would highly recommend

Me and my husband took our mom's on vacation along with our 14 yard sold. The space is so open and the balcony brings in a nice breeze whether inside the living room, master bedroom or sitting outside. We spent most time at the beach which was a short walk. The pool area is spacious with plenty of seating and lounge chairs. Our son skateboards so we found a skate park about 20 minutes away. He enjoyed it. We went grocery shopping at Kroger. It was 15 minutes from the room. The kitchen is fully stocked. I would highly recommend and we plan on on going back one day.

Enjoyed seeing the island

We had very good communication with the renters. We had a leak and they we there within the hour to fix the sink. Loved having a restaurant by the pool for drinks and snacks. Overall it was a nice stay.
