Kiahuna Condo - So Close to the Beach and now with Air Conditioning!

Beautiful Kiahuna Plantation is located on world-renown Poipu Beach. Enjoy strolling through 35 acres of tropical paradise with gardens of graceful orchids and unusual cactus. The buildings are plantation style with louver shutters on the windows and ceiling fans circulating the ocean breeze throughout the condo.

Our condo, #167 located in Building 26, is a ground floor, end unit with partial ocean view and a semi-private lanai, less than a one-minute walk to the ocean! Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere while dining in or grill dinner on one of the two barbecues next to the lagoon just steps away. The beach hut, which supplies towels, chairs and snorkeling equipment to rent is also just a one minute walk from the condo. There are several golf courses and many restaurants within walking distance. Once booked, we will grant access to our info packet re the condo, Kiahuna and Kauai.

We are members of the Poipu Beach Athletic Club: (http://poipuclub.com/) .Our guests have full access to the club including the pool with slide, tennis courts and workout equipment at no extra charge!

We keep the condo up to date! Recent improvements include new lanai tile, shower, tile floor, bedroom carpet, and all new living and dining room furniture. Small appliances are changed out annually or as needed.

Kauai is a nature lovers dream! Spouting Horn is a natural phenomena just 2.5 miles away from Kiahuna Plantation. Enjoy a scenic drive up Waimea Canyon and take in the sweeping views of the Na Pali coast. There are many wonderful places to snorkel on the island, including right in front of the resort. Surfing, boogie boarding, and body surfing are also right there. Hiking trails are numerous on the island as well. The Heritage Trail is right in front of Kiahuna. Follow it north to the Hyatt where just beyond you can enjoy a peaceful walk over lithified dunes. It is also a great place to whale-watch December-April.

Guests at our Kiahuna Plantation condo have 24 hour care from the on-site management service. Come and relax in paradise!

Kiahuna Plsntstion gardens

The unit was clean, conveniently located to our favorite beaches and restaurants, and we loved sitting on the patio overlooking the garden. We will come back again when we visit Poipu.

Close to the beach.

Great location, beautiful grounds. Fully equipped kitchen. Loved having the beach chairs and umbrellas handy. We will be back!

Great stay

We loved everything about our stay. The location, the condo, the area and the host. We asked if we could come a day early and they checked for us , it was available and they did not charge us any extra. Wow, we were amazed and appreciative. 10 out 0f 10 all around

Thoroughly enjoy our stay. Have stayed at Kiahuna Plantation many times but this was the best because of the unit's location and amenities.

Wonderful time at Kiahuna #167

Our first trip to Kiahuna exceeded our expectations. Our accommodations were lovely and quiet. The grounds were beautiful. Staff members were friendly and welcoming. We hope to return!

Very clean and comfortable

The condo was spotless, well-appointed and the bed was extremely comfortable. The condo is very close to the beach, and the patio overlooks a nice little lawn. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Super comfortable bed, and plenty of nice dressers to store our clothes, well stocked kitchen for pots, pans, utensils, and cookware plus small appliances so we could cook just about anything we wanted to. The shower was perfect, with nonstop hot water, and great water pressure, we didn't miss having a tub much. The location near the beach was very convenient too, plus a shopping center within walking distance. The TV worked perfectly, fans and air conditioning were very much needed and worked well. The grounds outside were just beautiful, with grass and flowers and tropical plants everywhere and so many birds singing, we really enjoyed having some wine or a cocktail in the afternoon and sitting outside on the lounge chairs looking at everything, although the "partial ocean view' really wasn't a thing unless you were in an upper unit, because you couldn't see the water like we hoped to. The only reason for giving 4 stars is because the parking was truly an issue we didn't expect. We felt like we couldn't even go out to dinner much because if you returned after 6 pm there was zero parking nearby unless you parked way up at the top of the condos by the main street and walked quite a way. The other inconvenience was laundry. I don't expect to do a lot of washing but planned to do it once. It was a very far away drive, and cost over 10 a load for wash, dry and soap. Too much trouble plus a huge waste of vacation time to watch it. An in-unit machine would be so much better!

Love the area

Kiahuna Plantation is a great place to stay & Mary's condo just makes it even better. It's close to the beach, snorkeling, and surf lessons if you're into that. Nice lani & comfortable living space. The area is quiet & the beach area is never crowded. Highly recommend.

Great location

My husband and I had a great stay at the Kiahuna Plantation. The condo is literally steps from the beach & there were beach items for us to use, so we did not need to rent anything. It was also nice to have a full kitchen & gas bbq grill is nearby, the lagoon. We will be definitely be back! We did have problems with the WIFi, as the password did not work. We had to wait 2 hours after the check in time bc the room wasn't ready and were told they were low in staff. Also, condo was clean, but a little dusty. Overall, a good experience & would recommend.

Great location & very comfortable

For being on the south side of Kauai, this condo is located very conveniently, near good places to eat and activities. There’s good walking right out the door south and easy hiking nearby at the Heritage trail with beautiful views. The nearby beaches are wonderful for bobbing in the waves or surfing. The condo is located away from the main road so there was no car noise. No drunken parties in nearby condos and we really appreciated that. Kids playing didn’t bother us because it was happy sounds & they settle down early. The condo had everything we needed. The only annoying thing was the noisy ceiling bathroom fan which was not in the room with the toilet and tub where it was really needed. It is located in an adjacent room with the sink. All in all, we would return. It was good for a three night stay.

Lovely and cozy apartment. We enjoyed our stay very much. Only thing that we didn’t like was the mandatory cleaning fee that came on top and was nowhere mentioned during the booking. And for that finding little plastic bags under the nightstand (most likely from earplugs) that fee is even more ridiculous. We missed Salt & Pepper. But other than that, the whole Kiahuna Plantation Compound is lovely, the beach is awesome.

Perfect location, needs some spiffing up

We love the Kiahuna Plantation and have stayed in many different units over the years. This unit is in need of some TLC. It has not been update like most of the other units we've stayed in. Having said that we love the location of this unit, we just wish it was a bit less shabby.

Perfect Location!

We love the Kiahuna Plantation property and especially loved this location--steps to the beach and with a semi-private lawn out back. The condo was clean and had tons of beach toys. We really appreciated the extra blow up bed too. One thing to note with a floor unit is that you can hear your neighbors upstairs in this complex--the floors are thin. But it's a nice trade-off to be able to walk out the back lanai to the beach. The dishwasher was also broken, but otherwise, it was a great stay- we would stay here again! Thank you!

Spring break with the kids

Had a great time. Location and how close it is to the beach hut, beach and Sheraton is ideal. Ground floor is convenient, though sprinklers are pretty loud early in the morning. Condo size is great for a family of four. Beach chairs are super convenient.

Explore From the Door

Comfortable and cozy with a lovely patio for dining and relaxing any time of day. Every day there's a short or long walk to speical beaches. Green Turtles and Monk seals rested on the sands. The surf was too rough for swimming, but the weather was warm and partly sunny. We love eating in and the food trucks fed us many eveings. A new spot for us was Grandma's Kitchen in Hanapepe...a real treat. We bought fruit at roadside stands, shopped for groceries in Koloa as always. I Love Kauai and Poipu.

Great stay!

Ray and Mary’s place was fantastic! The location in the complex was an easy walk to the beach. About as close as you could get without being in one of the oceanfront units. We walked around the point each night to watch the sunset over the ocean. Beach was calm enough to swim in the ocean in February. Unit was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a great stay! Fantastic cross breezes kept everything the perfect temperature. Would definitely stay there again.

We love the vintage feel of Kiahuna, the sounds of the ocean that we hear from the condo, the privacy of the lanai, the smell of the tropical flowers and the amazing grounds and gardens. It is a peaceful, special place that our family has enjoyed coming to every year for almost 20 years.

The closeness to the beach! Early morning walks in either direction provide expansive views of the ocean as well as sea turtles swimming in the surf, dolphins and whales (seasonally). The preserved ancient sacred grounds add to the unique feel of this very special island.
