THE VIEWS, PRIVACY, BEACH, ARCHECTURE AND AIR CONDITION makes this Penthouse a spectacular place to stay. This Alameda 3 BR luxury penthouse is upscale. It is spacious with enough room for a family of 6 people. All 3 bedrooms have queen size beds. It has a private deck with views looking towards the beach 3 blocks away. It's an easy 2 blocks walk to Park St. with over 40 different restaurants; or groceries at Safeway supermarket 3 blocks away. It has a fully stock kitchen, breakfast area with coffee machine, tea, ground coffee, cream and sugar. It has 2 free private parking spaces.

The bathrooms have closets with over 50 bath towels, 30 wash rags and hand towels.

Its just 3 blocks to the Safeway supermarket for groceries. The South Shore shopping Center is just 3 blocks away with department stores, banks, jewelry stores and many other stores which makes shopping exciting.

It has its own private entrance, beautiful hardwood floors. Fully stock kitchen with granite countertops, large refrigerator, Dishwasher and a breakfast area.

The Apartment has beautiful red Oak hardwood floors throughout. The living room opens out to the deck with outdoor furniture where guests can sit and enjoy the view looking towards the beach 3 blocks away. The deck is surrounded by a large avocado tree and privacy fencing. The penthouse also has WIFI WITH AT&T INTERNET 1000 (FIBER 1 GIG) HIGH SPEED for the business person who may want to work from home. A PERFECT LOCATION.

It also has a Pack N play baby bed and highchair for infants. Its a 8 minutes drive to the Alameda ferry station on Main St. to San Francisco.

San Francisco is just 20 minutes drive away over the Bay Bridge or via BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) and the Alameda/Oakland ferry to San Francisco. The Oakland Airport is just about 3 miles away.

This unique penthouse is ideal for family vacations, the business executive, professional, and corporate housing.

I could have stayed longer! My kids thought it was so cool to stay in "the attack above the house". The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was adequately stocked with everything I needed to make meals. I really enjoyed the fireplace as well. Made it extra cozy.

Peter, Thanks for a great review. I think you meant to say "the location could not be better to enjoy Alameda" when you were describing the location. The apartment is just 2 blocks from Park St. downtown and 3 blocks to the beach. Most guest usually walk to Park St for dinner and chose from 40 different restaurants. I have gotten great reviews about the location. Thanks for staying with us.

Lovely place

This is a great place to stay. Convenient for trips to downtown and an outdoor space for relaxing. Generously supplied with tea coffee etc and furnished to a good standard.

This place was perfect for a family vacation in the San Francisco area. So clean, quiet, and well-kept. The most comfortable beds, great living area, and kitchen. Highly recommend!

Great Stay in Alameda

This property fit our needs perfectly. Great safe location near to restaurants and easy access to Oakland, Berkeley, and SF. We had a minor issue with the front door but Monica was responsive and able to get it fixed quickly. Would definitely stay again.

This is a wonderful apartment/condo. We found it on short notice and couldn’t be happier with it. It comes fully stocked and super clean & comfortable. Only downside is it’s on the 3rd floor and no elevators so if you have mobility issues with stairs this would not be the place for you. It has a wonderful patio & patio furniture, unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so it did not get utilized much.

Thanks for your great review. Yes the penthouse takes up the whole 3rd floor of the building. That is why its called a penthouse. It has views looking towards the beach from the outside deck. I put that information in the description so people would know. I agree with your honesty, if someone has a problem climbing stairs, they should not choose this apartment. But for those who have no problem climbing stairs, the apartment and its views are amazing to see.

Pleasant/cozy-nice private deck

Very communicative host; ample parking; cozy property; lovely private deck; on-site laundry : ) Note: Parking is in the rear but the driveway access is at the front of the house!! Easy commute into Oakland. We would stay here again!

Great place for our work trip

This is a great place to stay. It had everything we needed. The best part is off street parking directly behind the house. No searching for street parking. Host checked in with us during the stay to make sure we didn't need anything. We will defiantly stay here again when we come back for work or vacation.

A great place for our stay!

The building is in a central part of Alameda - very easy to get all around the island, as well as to Oakland and SF from this location. Very clean, with comfortable beds and a nice kitchen with all the cooking equipment we needed. It was nice to have the deck to sit out and relax on. My adult son and I stayed here while in Alameda for my Granddaughter's baby shower. It was perfect for what we needed.

Family trip

Lovely place with lots of character. Everyone in family, including teen daughter, enjoyed the place due to spaciousness. In a very nice, quiet neighborhood close to grocery store & restaurants. Designated off street parking. Would definitely return.

My wife and I stayed in the apartment for one week. It is on the top floor of a house, with somewhat unusual shapes of the rooms because of that. But we thought that gave it a nice, somewhat special character. The location is also a plus (close to Park Street, with its many restaurants, also to the South Shore shopping center). Finally, the host was very good at communicating and at helping us (to re-start a furnace in the apartment). We can recommend the place, also for families with kids.

Great VRBO

Our first VRBO experience was really fantastic! Everyone in our party commented on how thoughtfully every aspect of the VRBO was setup. It has everything you need in every room and has plenty of space for 6 people. Great neighborhood with lots of old Victorians and friendly locals. Wonderful walks for exercise or errands. Local shops, restaurants and groceries (Trader Joe’s!) are within 10 minute walking distance. There are cute parks in the heart of the residential areas and the beach is only a 15-20 minute walk away. Things to know that will help future renters and that will hopefully be added to the VRBO profile. - Three flights of steep external stairs to get to the unit. - There was only one designated parking space instead of the two spaces specified. - There is a low roofed part of the building that juts out over the driveway just a bit. It’s a tight squeeze and untenable if you have a large or tall vehicle. Our Audi SUV and Denali fit just fine, but it was close! Overall, we had a wonderful experience. So good in fact, I felt a bit conflicted writing the review, wanted to keep it all for ourselves.

The apartment has 2 parking spaces as stated on the website. The parking spaces are in tandem one car park behind the other. Dan never called me once to ask questions about the other parking space. He wrote this review even without asking me about the parking space. He ask other questions and I got back to him immediately. He never ask about the parking. The apartment is a penthouse. I stated that in the description so people would know its at the top of the building. It has greats views, but you have to climb the stairs to see the views. To some people having great views, beautiful trees around the deck with tables and chairs on the deck to eat and have a drink. Also close to the beach and over 40 restaurants in walking distance is worth climbing a few stairs. I have had a guest told me that.

Great place

Clean, comfortable, excellent neighborhood, beach less than a mile away, all amenities (shops, restaurants, etc) in east walking distance. Would certainly return here.

Beautiful house and perfect location

We are so happy with our stay in this apartment, it was more than we hoped for. Clean, charming and close to stores in South Shore and restaurants downtown. Check-in and checkout was extremely smooth, expect a message on the day of your arrival with information. I would gladly come back to this place with my family in the future!

Perfect Vacation Location!

Our stay was amazing. We had the whole third floor of a Victorian house. Could have easily had six guests. Thank goodness for off-street parking too. The apartment had everything we needed and had very comfortable beds. It’s location made it the perfect base to ferry into San Fransisco or drive south to San Jose or Monterey. Plus we enjoyed just staying on the island. Lots of thing to do and places to eat. We would stay there again!!

Convenient and comfortable

We found the apartment roomy and comfortable for our stay in Alameda. It was quieter than I expected it to be, and it was easy for the kids to sleep in the bedroom and not be disturbed by the adults in the living room. The main thing to be aware of is that it is a climb up three flights of stairs, so if anyone in the group has mobility issues this would not be a good choice. The apartment was very clean.

Clean, Spacious, and a Great Location,

Our first time staying in Alameda to see family and friends in the Bay Area! This rental is a couple of flights up, but if you don’t mind stairs, it is a lovely, clean, and comfortable place—3 spacious bedrooms plus a large kitchen and living room. Convenient laundry in the basement and very close to shops and restaurants in charming Alameda! Would definitely stay here again!

The property is in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Alameda. It is a beautiful neighborhood and the home is just 2 blocks from Park Street, the main street in Alameda where there are over 40 different restaurants and shops. It is also just 3 blocks from the beach. I walk to Park St. many times to eat out and I don't have to worry about finding a parking space on the busy street.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

This penthouse is a CLASSIC. The building is registered with the City of Alameda as an HISTORIC BUILDING. The penthouse is on the 3rd floor of this Large 1889 Victorian. It covers the whole top floor of the building. This 1889 Victorian house has 7 gables and windows in all directions. From the back deck you can sit on the wagon wheel chair and look all the way down to the beach which is 4 blocks away. The view is beautiful. There is a avocado tree hanging over the deck that bears many avocados and it also give you privacy. There are stairs to climb. But when you get to the top of the stairs and enter the penthouse it makes it all worth the climb. The fireplace, the redwood ceiling, the 1889 old brick chimney, the view from the deck., the outside furniture on the deck with a redwood table and chairs where you can have dinner outdoors all makes it a special place to stay in the heart of the city. The penthouse is in a location that has easy access to the 880 freeway which will take you to anywhere in the San Francisco Bay Area and the Oakland Airport about 3 miles away. It is also just a 10 minute drive to the Alameda ferry station on Main St. to San Francisco.
