The area is fantastic! Now the check was a little different. We showed up at 5pm and this was considered late check in. I looked on the door and they had a sign pointing to a stack of envelopes and find our name in the stack. That's was fine, we found our condo it would have been nice to have a map in the envelope, we had never been there before but we found it ok it was close by. Now the condo was shall we say interesting. It is dated and I really wasn't expecting posh luxury in the northern U.P. but it is very rustic. They need to get new mattresses and new carpeting. The screen door had a hole in it. The shower drained slow so the tube filled when taking a shower. All I am saying is expect rustic.
Now the good. The area is fantastic! The view out our back door was what you would expect for the north woods. The lake is clear and so serene it is amazing. The trails are awesome and perfect. The lake is a big lake off of Lake Superior. There is plenty to do in the area.
Would I recommend the place? Yes! I know I have sounded negative about the place but I would recommend it. Just know what to expect. I would stay there again.
