Nestled on the north side of the White Mountains is this beautiful 3 bedroom apartment that feels like a chic private residence. The New England cottage-style decor gives a nod to the building’s vintage roots while still sporting modern conveniences.
You will sleep like a baby thanks to the fresh mountain air, our high end mattresses and our luxurious bedding. The unit features two deluxe bathrooms, one with a deep soaking claw foot tub with beautifully appointed hardware.

This is a 150 year old historical building. Stairs to second floor of the apartment are steep and narrow!

An experience that will take you away from home, whether you want to ski, snowshoe, hike, bike, sightsee, go antiquing, golf or leaf peep, you will find it here!

Visit a mountain retreat where the clock tower strikes on the hour and trains whistle through town. Steps away from a library housed in a beautiful historical building. Visit the local pub or bistro down the street and enjoy a glass of wine without having to worry about driving or hailing a cab. Take a 30 minute drive through the breathtaking scenery of Pinkham Notch to shop the retail outlets at North Conway. Enjoy our natural swimming holes, Fourth of July carnival or climb to Mount Washington. Ride the Cog Railway, visit Santa’s Village and Storyland, or spend Christmas in a beautiful New England setting!

Convenient, charming, and spotless

Beautifully decorated and comfortable cozy apartment on the second floor of a historic downtown building. Walk to some great restaurants and shops and drive to skiing in less than 15 minutes. We will definitely be back.

Primo walkable location

Spacious, beautifully decorated, downtown, walkable location, yet cozy. Enjoyable outside rood deck fororning coffee. Annie is a delight and easy to work with.

Wonderful property and host!

We had a wonderful stay at Annie's Chic New England Apartment! We had been looking for a place close to our daughter in Gorham that accepted pets and finally found Annie's place. The hard part was booking it as it is very popular! After staying for the weekend we know why! The apartment is spacious, beautiful, well stocked, and very comfortable. Annie is a wonderful host and is very kind and fun to talk with. Plus, she has lived in the area for over 25 years so she has the scoop! We will be back! Thanks Annie!

Second stay, just as wonderful as the first.

This was the second time our family stayed at Annie's place. Once again, the apartment was spotless. The kitchen was well appointed with the necessary tools, etc. My husband and I appreciated the upgraded queen size bed this year. We look forward to staying again next year!

NH vacation

We have stayed several times here and always have a great time! Annie is an excellent hostess and the apartment is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. It’s a great neighborhood to walk around in and lots of great restaurants. Enjoy!

Fantastic!

Great location amidst an art gallery, candy shop, and delicious restaurants/coffee shops. It’s nestled equally distanced between Santa’s Village and Story Land for the kids. The touches on this home were well thought out and make for a comfortable stay. Annie is a gracious host with plenty of ideas and suggestions if you’re looking for things to do in and around the area. You won’t be disappointed!

Very clean and well appointed

We chose Gorham for its proximity to a variety of ski resorts. We would come back to Annie's for a variety of reasons. First, this was probably the cleanest VRBO we have ever rented! The kitchen was well stocked with just the right tools to easily do some of our own cooking. The bathrooms had all the little incidentals that you sometimes forget. Communication with Annie was easy. She checked in with us soon after we arrived. It was a pleasure meeting her. We were there at the end of January and a lot of the shops and restaurants were not open early in the week. However, our favorite breakfast/coffee stop was the White Mountain Cafe. We enjoyed visiting the adorable art/gift shop below the apartment as well as the cool public library right around the corner. We had reservations to eat at Nana's Kitchen, but they had to cancel due to equipment issues. I'm sure it would have been a wonderful meal. This apartment is on the second floor and two of the three bedrooms are on the third floor. Keeping with the old charm of the building, there is a very narrow set of stairs leading to the third floor bedrooms. Someone commented about the clock tower chiming every hour. It was not a problem for anyone in our family, plus I noticed that Annie provided earplugs in the bathroom closet, in case it was an issue. Again, I was very impressed with this clean, nicely decorated and uncluttered apartment. We will certainly stay here again!

As always, a wonderful stay..

This is our 5th time staying at Annie’s beautiful place. It is a lovely home and very comfortable and spacious for my family of 5. We love waking up to the mountains and the view right out the window. It is so nice to be able to walk to various restaurants for dinner, ice cream and morning coffee. There is also a brewery that opened around the corner (which we didn’t have time to try, but it looked busy)! Annie is always very gracious and checks in to see if you have any questions or need anything. The property is decorated so nicely and it really feels like you are on vacation when you are there - so relaxing. Enjoy!!

Excellent Location for Kid-friendly Attractions

We booked a 3-night stay with Annie so our preschooler could visit Storyland and Santa's Village. The location is perfect for doing these things - equidistant from both and surrounded by beautiful scenery (we even saw moose on our way home one night)! Annie was extremely kind, even letting us use her own first-aid supplies when we needed them. The accommodations were very nice and the air conditioning was much appreciated in the August heat. If stairs are not a challenge for you, you may appreciate the fact that the upstairs consists of only two bedrooms and a small bathroom, so there is little risk of disturbing anyone downstairs and plenty of privacy when you're above. If you have young children, however, please note that these stairs are extremely steep, which is a feature of the home itself and its age. Annie did her best to make it safe by creating a custom-cut piece of wood that fits perfectly at the top to act as a baby gate (so there is zero chance of anybody falling down the stairs at night), but if your family set-up allows, you may find it more beneficial to utilize the downstairs bedroom instead, which is very nice. The downstairs bathroom is spacious and in a perfect location, so we found ourselves using that one much more than the upstairs one (though both are very functional). One thing to note is that the apartment is directly across the street from a church with bells that toll every hour on the hour - even during the night. Annie did as best she could to block out the noise with the air conditioning system, but you will still hear the bells (and an occasional train, also across the street) if you are a light sleeper. The place itself, however, is in a very cute little part of town, with an art gallery directly beneath and some good restaurants nearby. Our favorites were the Road Hawg Swine Dining (ha!) for BBQ and breakfast too! as well as Scoggins Ice Cream for the largest and best brownie sundae I may have ever had. We could not have asked for a better host and are truly grateful to Annie for allowing us to stay in her beautiful home so we could have a wonderful family vacation in the White Mountains!

Great host Great location

We had a great stay with Annie as our host. Everything was clean and as listed. The full size bed downstairs was not comfy for my 6 ft husband but all else was very nice. She gave awesome suggestions of where to eat

Hidden GEM!

An exclusive and tastefully appointed apartment that exceeded all expectations! The pictures don't do this justice, it's truly exceptional and on all fronts from the initial reservation to our host Annie to all the details. A wonderful time for our family to get together one more time prior to our sons deployment. Thank you for the care of every detail!

Perfect girls getaway

Perfection!!! We stayed for the Mount Washington Road Race and a girls weekend and the apartment could not have been any better. Beautifully decorated, comfortable beds, excellent water pressure and hot too! The apartment is walking distance from the best restaurants, a great brewery, and the cutest shops. Annie is a doll and so helpful. We can’t wait to go back!

Gorham Getaway

A cozy oasis tucked away in the center of Gorham with the best host north of Pinkham Notch, Annie Lake! Everything was perfect. From the cleanest fridge, to the spotless rooms, to the most comfortable and luxurious bedding you ever slept in, no attention to detail is missed by Annie. Walking distance (across the street) to one of the best Italian restaurants in New Hampshire (Nonna's Kitchen)! Lots of businesses to visit in Gorham and a must stop is to see Dee at deSigns and Framing where you'll find that perfect piece to commemorate your visit to Gorham. Cute mountain town stay

Our family and I stayed here for a long weekend. Annie was very attentive and thought of everything. We loved the style and setup of her home- everything was very cozy. The Mountain View was amazing! A quick drive to Mt. Washington was perfect as well as a short walk to coffee shop and dinning. Thank you Annie!

Coziest Charming Property Ever!

A truly special property & host! Annie was so attentive and sweet, even taking the time to check in on us after doing an overnight backpack to make sure we got back safe. The property is something out of a magazine. All clean white wood and farmhouse-style touches. Left so inspired by all the gorgeous work and little design elements Annie did. Truly the cutest apartment I’ve ever been in! My husband and I had such an amazing time that we booked it again for the following year before we left! We are so excited to return to this beautiful, cozy space. And Gorham is lovely, quiet & has some amazing food & breakfast options that we found ourselves visiting over and over again throughout our stay. A truly memorable stay that I’ll cherish forever 😊 Couldn’t say enough good things!!!

Peaceful stay in the White Mountains

This is property is a hidden gem! So nicely decorated and so comfortable. It is a great size for families with lots of room to spread out. I love the location because there are a few great restaurants and an ice cream shop all within walking distances. There are also old trains at the bottom of the street for the kids to look at. There are lots of fun outdoor activities (tubing, rafting, hiking) all around the area to explore. Annie is so easy to work with and very helpful with recommendations of things to do in the area. We liked it so much we immediately booked another stay the day we checked out!!

Comfortable and relaxing - perfect location

Annie's place was perfect for a weekend stay while we rode the trails around Jericho mountain and parts north. It was very clean and comfortable with more than enough room for 3 adults. Annie is a great host and we're hoping to get back there next year!
