Suzanne was a very welcoming and responsive host. She answered all our questions quickly and was very kind. The place was in a great location for tranquility and playing in the water. The beds were super comfortable and the kitchen well appointed.A great base for exploring the island!

The owner is very kind and friendly. The description is extremely accurate down to little details. Personal touches in the chalet made it a rustic and fun family experience. Perfect for paddleboarding and canoeing, the children enjoyed discovering crabs and hermits. Watershoes are needed because there's alot of seaweed but the water is clear. Overall a positive experience .

Nice stay

We enjoyed our stay. The ad notes the cottage is in Summerside however it is beyond that, 45 mins to Cavendish. There was only warm water for one person to shower over two days which wasn’t expected but overall, we were happy.

Camper in a beautiful location

This property to us felt like a step or two up from camping. The location is what made it all worth it! Would definitely return.

Fabulously relaxing location!

Truly on the waterfront with a gorgeous view across the Grand River, we enjoyed a relaxing view. High tide, low tide were all fabulous. Much wildlife kept us entertained. Incredibly quiet location! Conveniently located to explore the western half of Prince Edward Island -- 3 day trips to a variety of provincial parks, beaches, harbors, agriculture, aquaculture & wind farms were a few sights during our travels.

Quiet, peaceful

Wonderful little cottage . Everything worked, we barbequed both nights . Bed was very comfortable. Would reccommend to anyone . Lots of room to walk and wade .

September stay in PEi

we loved the fun/funky place. so creative to build a very comfy living room/ bedroom place attached to a camper. we were welcomed, comfortable, and charmed by the site: grand river with connection to bay. Suzanne is a great host. We love PEI!

nice little cozy place

Charming little place, very intimate and peaceful with a superb view of the water. There is nothing luxurious but there are plenty of beds, they are comfortable and all the amenities are there. Perfect for families. We really liked it. Beautiful little beach at low tide. All that is missing is a small anti-mosquito shelter to be able to enjoy the terrace in complete tranquility.

Beautiful Getaway

We had a wonderful stay at River Meadow Camp Cottage. The pictures and description completely matched reality. We even saw the heron most days! We have 3 young boys and the cottage suited us perfectly. They loved exploring the beach and playing in the grass. We came in late on the first night and Suzanne was incredibly accommodating. Thanks Suzanne for the wonderful stay!

Perfect for a romantic getaway

The place is absolutely beautiful, the private beach, the cottage, everything was perfect. Watching the sunset near the fire was breath-taking. The cottage is small, but very cute. I would not see a big family staying there since it could get cramped, but it is not beds that are missing! The owner has everything to make your stay comfortable and pleasant (beach accessories were available like boards,noodles, freezbe, and more). We would definetly come back!

A quiet getaway

A beautiful, relaxing, private place to stay. A cozy patio facing the water which made a great place to watch the early mornimg brealth taking . The sunsets was amazing to see. Lots of comfortable longing chairs to relax in. Great place for bomb fires and telaxing with family. Wonderful walks along the sandy beach while tide was out. Excellant place to go on a canoeing adventure with the grandkids. The host was the most beautiful caring person we have ever encountered. A wonderful place to sit back to enjoy the glorious world of PEI. Thank You for a great experience.

Disappointing! Won't Return and Would Never Recommend

Sunsets and view across the river were beautiful and as advertised it was quiet and private. We were booked for 12 nights but left after 8. INFESTED with black ants and earwigs amongst the numerous other disappointments.

Interesting

The property was unique. The bed in the main building was very comfortable. I didn't like the shower being in the bunkie and that there was no privacy when entering and exiting the shower. Unfortunately there were many mosquitoes so staying outside at night wasn't possible. The power went off during our stay and we could not find any candles so we drove out to get some.

Amazing Sunsets

My Mom and I loved staying at this cottage. We liked the quite and privacy. It was so nice to just relax and read a book on the deck while looking at a beautiful view. The pups loved being able to run around. We enjoyed walking on the beach looking for shells. The front rooms of the cottage are cute. The master bedroom has a beautiful view. The old motor home part is the kitchen area. It is rustic, but had everything we needed. And it nice to sit there and drink coffee while watching the sun coming up. The other building had a shower, another bathroom, washer/dryer and a set of bunk beds. We used to camp, so this was a nice step up. Especially to be able to go inside when the mosquitos came out at night :) Miscouche has a couple of good places to eat right up on route 2 , especially breakfast at the convenient store : ) Suzanne was a very friendly and knowledgeable host. We definitely want to come back!!

Beautiful slice of paradise off the beaten trail. Very cool design. Private sun set over the water every night, coffee on the beach every morning. What more could you ask for?

Host was kind and helpful. Site is quite rustic. View is beautiful, but definitely camping type feel with detached shower and washing facilities. Bedroom and bedding was nice and clean. Should include more detail around how to access, it’s down a dirt road with a no trespassing sign. Per night price is probably in range, but additional taxes and fees make it expensive for what it is.
