This property is breathtaking - from the first step I took inside to the steps I took outside down to the river...it is amazing. Everything is just as described. Clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable and luxurious. I felt like I was staying at our own private resort.

We have stayed at this property many times in the past. It holds a very special place in our heart.The river and giant trees, the beautiful mornings and evenings are everything.The home is very well cared for and appointed…and the we really like the new remodel and addition of a second master suite!Thank you for the wonderful week!

The house was very clean. The location was great for a peaceful quiet getaway yet still close to ski resorts and shopping.

A stunning house right on the river. Sit on the beautiful flagstone back patio right off the master bedroom, or take it easy in the spacious hot tub in the enclosed side patio (which also has a view of the river), or simply take a very short walk to the river’s edge and relax in the Adirondack chairs. While in the area, stop by the small community of Dixon right down the highway and visit the thrift store, and then step next door to the well-stocked Co-op grocery store/deli. If you want a little more activity, Taos is close by, but we preferred to just stay put, enjoy the beautiful home, the river, the birds, the peace. The host provided detailed, printable information prior to the stay—which we appreciated—so our stay was absolutely worry free. It was a marvelous experience.

The home is beautiful and spacious. You will NOT find a better and more personal view of the Rio Grande. It rolls right through the back yard. Highly recommend the Rinconada retreat for your relaxing and or fun getaway.

The location is perfect for peace and quiet. We so enjoyed the hot tub. It was clean and had EVERYTHING we needed. It had so much space to spread out. We called each bedroom section a “wing”! The kitchen was well stocked. The place was so relaxing. Will come back. Chris provided great information about what to do and was so easy to communicate with. Thank you. (And thank Melody for us. She went above and beyond for us)

Wonderful vacation!

Peaceful, relaxing, nature filled - loved every one of our 10 night stay! River is the focus, but birds, flowers, shade and natural environment make this home very special.

Great as advertised

Great location, beautiful and spotless property, everything in working order. Lots of attractions in the area. We would love to be able to stay here again sometime.

Magical Riverside Retreat

I am so grateful we found this hidden gem! From the beautiful gardens and outdoor art/landscaping to the well-appointed interior and incredible location on the Rio Grande, this property can't be beat!

Roi Grande Retreat

The nearby small town of Dixon was an added treat with a great Co-op grocery store, local cafe and wineries, and a great low power FM radio station. Taos was an easy 1/2 drive and nearby hiking trails rounded out our adventure.
