Beautiful sanctuary to relax by the sounds of a river. Our hosts were communicative, as well as hospitable. The cabin was clean with comfortable furnishings. We also loved the wilderness setting, yet close to Taos & Santa Fe. Hope to return again someday!

The cabin was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Kris took great care to make us feel at home and make our stay easy and enjoyable. The location was great for exploring northern New Mexico. We will definitely stay again if we are back in the area.

Amazing!

Absolutely loved our 3 night stay. The deck along the creek is so relaxing and the house is beautiful with everything needed. I will for sure stay again if I'm in the area!

This property is one of the best rentals we have stayed in. Beautiful location. River close to house & deck to sit out on. The casita is tastefully decorated & well furnished kitchen. This is the place to come & unwind.

Relaxing Week

This is one of the best vacation rentals we have stayed in. The cottage is even nicer than the pictures, with vaulted ceilings. It has a lovely deck with chairs next to the river that we enjoyed every day. The location is great for wine tasting at local wineries, and easy to get to Taos for museums, galleries, and restaurants. Our hosts were easy to communicate and have a house book with lots of great suggestions for local walks. We hope to return next year.

Lovely, peaceful spot

We had a lovely, relaxing time. The cottage was comfortable and charming. Everything we needed was provided. Hosts were very nice and respectful of our privacy. Would highly recommend to family and friends.

Spring break getaway

Away from the business of the towns in a beautiful canyon setting, close to the highway and all kinds of hiking and local eateries and wineries. House was clean, comfortable, with nice personable touches that made it feel welcoming. The hosts are wonderful, interesting folks who genuinely do give you complete privacy. We would totally go there again.

Gorgeous Get-a-way

My wife and I had a little get-a-way from the heat and hustle of ABQ at beautiful place in Dixon. The home was very comfortable and the artistic touches were very thoughtful. The property was such a wonderful escape with the running creek, the view of the starry sky, and the close proximity to the cute town of Dixon and fantastic hiking at the Santa Barbara campground. We would definitely book this property again!

Wonderful hosts

The property was just as advertised and very clean, bright, well-equipped. The hosts were beyond thoughtful and generous. When we encountered some unexpected news from home, they were so kind at accommodating and extending themselves. We would definitely recommend others stay here if they are in the Dixon area!

River oasis

Take me to the river is a wonderful property with breath taking views of the mountains and the Embudo river. The house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed having dinner and early morning coffee on the deck right next to the river. Host are on property and there to answer any questions you have. Awesome place and we would definitely stay there again.

Perfect Spot for our New Mexico Vacation

We stayed in several places during our NM vacation and this one was the best by far. It exceeded our expectations and was even nicer in person. Our hosts were there to greet us and they couldn’t have been more friendly and responsive. Our only regret was not staying longer and heading for Taos for two nights. We could have easily explored all Taos had to offer from Dixon. Highly recommend this property and would love to return one day.

The perfect river hideaway!

This was the perfect, peaceful, River hideaway to relax & retreat after exploring the area all around. If you want a middle ground to explore many parts of the area including Taos, Santa Fe area this is your spot. Our host were friendly & wanted to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay! The sound of the River was amazing & the property is beautiful! Love the outside deck area.

This is our second stay at this wonderful cabin, nestled in a picturesque canyon-it offers the perfect blend of seclusion and accessibility, with easy access to explore Taos, Santa Fe, and charming villages, like Chimayo and Truches near Dixon. The interior is thoughtfully designed with artistic textiles and artwork, making it feel like a well cared for home, and it is perfectly stocked with essentials in the event you might have forgotten something on your grocery run. The separate deck by the river is a serene spot to enjoy nature and the warm friendly hosts make this our top choice for a return visit.
