Host was easy to communicate with, listed property accurately, provided plenty of local activities. The property was nice and clean. Interior beautifully decorated. The little village of Dixon and Embudo are so quaint. Authentic New Mexico

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this atmospheric and lovely home. It is perfectly situation, about 25 minutes from Taos. It is also nestled in a small artist community,Dixon. There is a great winery just up the road and the coop has a grocery store and really delicious home made food. You will be disappointed if you stay less than 2 nights, at least 4 is better. The beds are super comfortable.

We were looking for a place that was centrally located for visiting the area ( Ojo Caliente, Ghost Ranch and Taos), pet friendly, and quiet, and this fit the bill. There are some good wineries nearby, too, and a co-op to buy any needed essentials. There is a steep gravel driveway to get down to the house. I was surprised the house didn’t have any televisions, but we adjusted and enjoyed early mornings and evenings on the deck. The 2nd bedroom didn’t have its own a/c unit, so got a little warm at night, but there were fans in each room. Overall a great little house!

Good family rental

We stayed for a week while visiting family nearby. It was a great spot to use as a home base as we visited Taos, Santa Fe, and Bandelier.

We had a lovely time! Everything was as advertised and there was even a second bath/shower we didn't know about. Loved the quietness of the area, the clear mornings with coffee on the deck. Very clean, pet friendly and family friendly. Would definitely return for another stay!

Great little slice of heaven

This property was perfect for our family ski trip to Sipapu. A secluded location but we enjoyed the local shops and the house had everything we needed.

Perfect Getaway

Everything was exactly as described, we found the home stocked with everything we needed! We felt at home immediately and loved the proximity to so many things. Beds were comfortable, kitchen well stocked with everything we needed to cook. Rainfall shower head was nice after a day exploring on the trails. Would absolutely stay here again.

Lovely Month long stay

I enjoyed my stay during the month of April and found the location quite perfect for exploring northern New Mexico and southern Colorado as well. The house is nicely layout and has an easy flow to it. Dixon is a quiet, quaint town with a nicely stocked food coop, extensive library and the wonderful Metier Studio Gallery. There are endless adventures to be had in the area of New Mexico!

Beautiful house, great base location

We used this property as our base to explore Santa Fe, Taos, Bandelier National Monument and for rest and relaxation in between our adventures. One of the nicest (if not *the* nicest) vacation rentals I’ve stayed in! Comfortable beds, wonderful showers, very nicely decorated. Everything was great. The host was incredibly responsive and informative. Will definitely book again in the future.

So quaint and peaceful!

It was so out of the way and beautiful down here, super cute area but definitely out of service and kind of far from things but I personally enjoyed that aspect! They have an awesome record player to enjoy some old tunes, tons of books for a wake up, drink coffee and read type of vibe! The host was kind and helpful, the beds were super comfy, the showers are so nice and everything is so colorful and cute! Just loved it here!

Great home in a quiet town

This home was the perfect spot for our trip to sipapu. Its central to everything we needed but far enough out to enjoy a quiet time away. Eleanor was great to communicate with and quickly responded to any questions we had. Everything was clean and tidy. We loved having the record player to listen to while unwinding from a day on the mountain.

Pleasant, peaceful time in Dixon

Nicely stocked house, easy to find. Stayed about 5 days with my partner. Spacious, well stocked kitchen, fast internet. It had snowed before we arrived - we were fine getting up the driveway hill with an all wheel drive vehicle. we kept warm in the house with the baseboard heat and wood stove

Keep this FABULOUS place a secret!

This casa was the ideal for my visit to NM. The wonderful community of Dixon is just down the road - Santa Fe & Taos are close by too. It was so peaceful, I spent one entire day enjoying the deck and view. The place is beautifully appointed & comfortable, I felt immediately at home. This will be my go to accommodations whenever I’m in Dixon. BONUS for me - turns out the host’s hometown is my adopted home of 40 years, we discovered we had MANY friends & acquaintances in common. This is an awesome Vbro!

Perfect location for visiting northern NM!!

We are so happy we stayed here for the month! It was super comfortable and clean, and within easy reach (30 min - 1.5 hrs) of nature, restaurants, history and more! Eleanor was great to communicate and work with, and even available to do a Facetime tutorial with us so we could run the woodstove and keep warm! We felt so accomplished after learning the NM ropes. :) Dixon is amazing, too! This little town has done so much as a community, creating a co-op market, library, wineries, a thrift store... and everyone is friendly, too. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it 100%!

Exceeded expectations

Enjoyed 4 night stay while in town to attend a family wedding. Kitchen was great for high volume cooking. Large fridge/freezer and 5 burner stove very helpful. Great collection of books and games, comfortable beds, ample hot water, quiet location. Nice furnishings in spacious living room. Even played some vinyl on retro suitcase turntable. Loved that there was no tv. Thought it was closer to Embudo; instead there is a channel through lot that likely flows just durng high water and rain noff periods. House nondescript from outside and the floors creak, but interior exceeded my expectations. Would stay here again.
