This is an older Victorian style home that is located in beautiful pine trees. We loved the view. When we had a question and reached out, the owner responded and answered our question within two minutes. We enjoyed our stay.

The home has every amenity you would want. It is very spacious, although a bit cluttered with artificial plants, flowers, and other things on countertops. The house is on a steep hill, and the driveway is also steep. Be careful backing out of it. Overall, I would give this house a solid 8.

Thank you for the wonderful review - just a reminder we have easy to follow instructions on where to park if not in the driveway (fits additional cars) as well as how to maneuver your car when in the driveway that fits 4-5 cars so 8 cars total at the house

We had 14 staying at the cottage (8 adults, 6 kids). It is equipped better than any vacation rental we have stayed at. The frig / freezers are next level. The kids loved the Pac Man game and running around the yard. Lots of room so everyone had space. We highly recommend it and would stay there again if ever in Prescott again.

We had a welcoming host, great amenities at the property, the house was laid out well, and it had plenty of room to enjoy the house. I would definitely book at this property again.

The property was very spacious, pet-friendly and the kitchen has all your cooking and baking needs. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning on the front porch while enjoyed the amazing views, it was very tranquil. The afternoon were spend on the back porch enjoying the beautiful weather.

House was perfect

Property was amazing had plenty of space to accommodate our group size. Gorgeous views. Had a great time doing a paint and sip as a team building activity with a local artist.

Vintage Family Getaway

We enjoyed our stay with our family. The grandchildren did not want to leave nor did the adults! lolThe location was very convenient and we were just a couple of minutes from the town square, fun restaurants, antique stores and fashion boutiques. It was wonderful to escape the heat of Scottsdale and actually enjoy sitting and dining outside. Not to mention the history of this adorable town!Will be back!

We had booked our family trip in November, 2025 at the Magnolia Mountain Cottage. We were hoping to check in earlier Monday afternoon because we had all arrived in Prescott. I had contacted our host but did not hear from him until Tuesday afternoon. I had been checking availability 3 days before our scheduled arrival and it had been available for quite awhile. We did go to the property about 3;30 Monday We were disappointed when we went soon in. Most of the pictures online were not the same as the real thing. It was much more crowded. Outside furniture had not been cleaned. I washed a table and some chairs so we could enjoy sitting outside. Some areas were not dusted or swept. Some things were misrepresented. The game room is a PacMan game in the dining room. We could not use the exercise room because it smelled bad. The record player didn't have a needle. Our host did offer to have his cleaning people come and clean some things but we were settled in by then. The house and location worked out very well for the 10 of us. Our time together was enjoyable. Care is needed when walking outside. I don't think it would be very safe for children. We left a list of things that need attention. Hopefully things will be repaired soon. It could be a wonderful place to rent.

Please see all our reviews. We have been renting our family's homes to guests for over 25 years and although we try, unfortunately we can't make everyone happy. Although I do have to say the pictures of our home are exactly what you get. My wife, Dixie, is a wonderful decorator. No one has ever complained about her maximalist decor style. But I can see if it may not be for everyone... We don't say we have a game room, we say we have a Pac-Man machine that has multiple games within it. There are reasonable responses to this guests complaints, but I'm not one to make excuses! Please read all our reviews.

Very comfortable place for a large group.

We had 8 friends and fit easily in this 6 bedroom 12 bed house. Unusual but fun decor, generally well stocked kitchen

Great host and property

This place is very special. I hosted a group of 7 executives for a meeting/retreat. The home was perfect for us and everyone had a great time. Highly recomended.

Perfect size for our family reunion

Serene setting with lots of room, we especially liked the little attached part of the house with 2 bedrooms and a kitchen. Guy was very quick to answer questions and made sure we had all that we needed.definitely would recommend for a large group.

Great place!

We were very comfortable and had plenty of room. This place was quiet and very clean and had window ac in all the upstairs bedrooms. We were in awe over the antiques and all the touches. The host even checked in with us. Beautiful house! I was followed by a deer while walking the dog.

Great place to stay!!

Guy and Dixie are amazing and I can’t wait to stay again!! Perfect accommodations and just a very relaxed atmosphere! Close to downtown for shopping, dinning etc! I highly recommend staying there for family gatherings, romantic get away, getting together with friends! Anything you need just ask and Guy and Dixie will do there very best to make your stay a wonderful getaway!! My husband and I can’t stop reflecting on our stay and how much fun we had relaxing, exploring the area!! Thanks Guy, Dixie and family!

Magnolia Mountain House was great!

We stayed at Magnolia Mountain House for a week (we rented both the Main and the Guest House). It was charming and very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked and it has a nice patio to eat meals at or just to visit with family.Guy and his staff were easily reachable for questions. I highly recommend this rental property, especially for big groups.

Charming & Delightful

We loved staying on Strawberry Hill at Guy & Dixie’s lovely home! Just perfectly comfortable and every detail was thought of. Our hosts were incredibly helpful and fun! Thank you so much! PS: our little one loved the chicken and the fresh eggs too!

Golf...golf...and more golf.

House was great. Provided plenty of beds for a group 12 men. We ate in 2 of our 3 night stay and kitchen provided everything we needed. Plenty of gathering and eating space. Great value gor the 12 of us. We'd do it again.
