Nice, quiet, secluded with awesome views of the lake from most every room. Beautiful sunsets. Even saw a pair of eagles flying around. Kayaking on the lake. Best stocked/equipped rental we ever stayed in. Really enjoyed our stay.

Maine Vacation

We loved our stay and the cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is the most well stocked cabin we've ever stayed at. Fishing on the dock and hearing the loons day and night made it perfect.

Peaceful Home

My family stayed for a week and enjoyed the accommodations very much. I enjoy being close to water when I'm on vacation and the views from the bedroom, living room and dining room were fabulous. Very much enjoyed the stay on Beech Hill Pond.

Great place to stay right on the lake! Plenty big for the four of us adults, clean and very nice. Two small issues - There are no signs pointing you to the lake. I had a bit of trouble finding the path but once I did it wasn't an issue. Also, the TV was working for us sporadically. We had trouble getting anything on the TV at times. Other than that it could not have been better!

Beech Hill Pond

Our stay was wonderful. The cottage was everything that was advertised and the property manager couldn’t have been more helpful! We had a wonderful vacation and look forward to coming again!

The property was in an amazing location. Very private but not far from scenic areas and hiking. Kayaks, life jackets and a wonderful deck on the water as well as off the home itself. The house was very well stocked with everything we needed. Lots of room for 4 adults and a child. Had a wonderful family vaca!!

The Perfect Fall Break!

The cabin is beautiful and the area is very peaceful. It's about an hour to Bar Harbor. The cabin has everything you need and would want. Being on the lake for us was perfect! We will be visiting Maine again in the summer and hopefully staying in this cabin!

Summer vacation

We enjoyed our week on the property. Very private location with a nice trail down to the water. It was perfect for our 3 yr and 5 yr old. The dog loved it too!

Another Wonderful Vacation at the Beech Hill Pond Lake house

Our family had another wonderful vacation at the "Golden Pond" Beech Hill Pond Lake house! The house and all it's amenities are superb! We loved staying here in 2021, and now 2022 and we can't wait to book our stay for 2023!

Golden Pond at Beech Hill Pond

The house is cozy and well supplied. The water is crystal clear. The traffic on the water was slow to non-existent during our stay. The location of the camp on the water is private and quiet compared to most of the other camps/houses.

Bliss

Such a great house for a relaxing stay on Beech Hill Pond. Plenty of space for everyone to spread out. Of course we were there during the hottest weather in a long time, so it was a bit toasty in the house but the available fans helped with that. The quiet cove you’re on down at the water was beautiful. Would love to stay there again!

Golden Pond was a cottage that was thoughtfully stocked with the needs of its guests in mind. The cottage was very clean and bed was comfy.If you like treehouses, this is the place to go. The lake is visible through the trees from the master bedroom. Windows and glass doors bring the inside in.It is an hour drive from Acadia National Park, and 30 minutes from Ellsworth.

Wonderful retreat

This property is outstanding. We had a wonderful time canoeing on the gorgeous pond and sitting on the decks. The wood stove was great to have on chilly mornings. The hosts have thought of everything. It’s so peaceful and private. We cannot wait to return next year!!!

Idyllic lakefront cottage in downeast Maine

Perfect location within striking distance of Acadia, but lots to do on-property as well. Boating, swimming, fishing, exploring, blueberry picking, and plenty of games, puzzles, and books (and space) to keep everyone happy on rainy days. Fairly remote, but close to Otis general store. Lots of maps, guidebooks, etc available for planning excursions. Very well equipped! It was a perfect getaway for our family.

There was our first visit to Main and we really exited of this state and the house where were staying for a week Nice location, beautiful views, the home is very clean, fully equipped with everything, the beds are very comfortable Very quiet and relaxing place Thank you Sue and property manager Miranda for making our vocation staying amazing!

Quiet getaway on a beautiful lake

We enjoyed our stay on Beech Hill Pond! It was a great way to spend a week in Maine. The house had plenty of activities that kept the entire family busy. We enjoyed kayaking and canoeing on the lake, fishing, and board games in the evening. While it was a bit of a drive, this is a great jumping off spot to go visit either side of Acadia. I enjoyed visiting Acadia, but welcomed coming back to the house for evening fishing and relaxation. Thank you for a wonderful vacation for my family!

We had a great time!

Everything as advertised! Incredible house/grounds/ lake facilities. Cool under the pines even on the hotest days! We had a great vacation. Our lab Bently luved it the best. Home now and he's depressed he can't swim all day. Fishing was great. Didn't get my "laker" but plenty of fishing fun. Hoping to come back '25!!
