Beachfront at beautiful Anini Beach, this fabulous home is truly a paradise. Perfectly designed to take full advantage of its premier location, Kai Hale is surrounded by a lush, Hawaiian garden and meticulously manicured landscape.

Attention to detail is obvious both indoors and out. Every room has wonderful ocean views and the lavish use of marble and hardwood throughout this split-level home adds to its elegance. Nearly disappearing glass walls on two sides of the great room open onto the spacious wrap-around lanai where it is easy to enjoy the gentle ocean breezes. New (January 2024) furnishings & decor in the living & dining area and new entertainment family room with ping pong table, seating, and large TV to enjoy.

Step down from the lanai to the gardens and beyond to the beach and ocean. Have a picnic lunch, build sandcastles, stroll along the coastline or simply lounge on the warm sand and let the waves roll in. Watch offshore for humpback whales in winter and playful dolphins year-round. After a dip in the ocean or walk down the beach, you will appreciate the convenience of the remodeled Hot & Cold outdoor shower.

Seemingly endless Anini Beach has a large, offshore reef and is well known for a variety of ocean activities including windsurfing, fishing, seasonal swimming and snorkeling.

Among this home's many amenities are a gourmet kitchen and gas barbeque grill for creating your favorite island meals. You may want to visit some of Kauai's "sunshine" and farmer's markets for fresh, local fruits and vegetables to enjoy during your visit. There is a nice variety of restaurants in nearby Princeville and Hanalei as well as in Kapaa a bit south of Anini.

Activities nearby include: seasonal swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, fishing, shopping, horseback riding, hiking, golfing, boat tours of Na Pali and kayaking.

The Best Thanksgiving

No turkey ,included,but the best Thanksgiving we have probably ever had! The house had plenty of room for the 6 of us. And the area had plenty to do for everyone. The small beach in front of the house was perfect and I didn’t realize until the last day how spectacular the snorkeling was. Our first few days the ocean was to rough to get in,but it did calm down our last few days! The house will awe you with the spectacular view and not to mention the unbelievable landscaping has to be the best on the Island! And word of advice on what to do, Don’t miss a helicopter ride!

Great Location!

Walk a few steps to Anini beach, which offered great snorkeling and swimming (waves break far out, not on shore). We saw sea turtles everyday! We liked that we were far enough away from most tourists. Our group was 6 people/3 couples and the accommodations worked for us but to get to most adventures which are in Lihue, there was a 45 min drive.

Beautiful Property

We were looking for a quiet, get-away to relax and enjoy Kauai and this property was a perfect fit. Stunning views, quiet beach in front of the property, snorkeling with turtles 10 feet from the beach. Only downside is that the property is adjacent to a public beach so it can be loud at times (especially on a holiday weekend). But overall - 5 stars!

Wonderful vacation house on a beach

Beautiful house with everything you may need for a great vacation on a beach (including the beach!!): well-positioned bedrooms, porch, grill, kitchen, clean and fresh towels, washer/dryer, etc. We immensely enjoyed this week on Kauai and would love to stay in this house again!!!!

Beautiful view with lovely landscaping which gives privacy from nearby park access.

This home was top of the line when built in 1998, and it still is lovely. Being 25 years old, it could use a little refresh, but it doesn't detract from the overall experience. The retracting glass doors open for a full inside/outside living experience. The landscaping is meticulous, but be very careful of the lovely stone pavers lining the entry. Two of us suffered falls with one sustaining a badly pulled ankle ligament which led to a loss of mobility and a lot of ice and elevation. Not the best way to start a vacation. Some attention should be given to recessing these down to ground level. Be prepared to supply extra TP and paper towels if you have a full house, and toiletries other than hand soap are not supplied. The beach, only steps away, is a pretty and peaceful protected cove that can get a bit noisy on the weekends, but the landscaping provides privacy nicely without obstructing the ocean views. Overall an enjoyable stay in a lovely home.

A Dream Come True

The moment we walked up the stairs to the main great room with panoramic views of the ocean, I wanted to cry. I had done so much research for just the right place for our family of 4...And the house was better than the pics. I want to come back every year. It was absolutely perfect.

The house has amazing views of the incredible garden then out to Anini Beach. Swam with the turtles nearly every morning.They do need to re-outfit the kitchen to match the splendor of the house. They need to add items such as a coffee grinder, other coffee brewing methods besides the old drip maker such as french press or pourover, the tea kettle cover did not close, there is no teapot for tea drinkers, the dishwasher makes dishes smell pretty bad so we had to re-clean everything, and the general beach/humidity stickiness had not been adequately cleaned from the cabinets and drawers. But other than the kitchen--which was still totally useful--this is utter paradise and we hope to return and that the property will still be available.

Sadly the pandemic restricted visitors to the islands so we were unable to go for a year and a half but once we were able to go back we booked the house for 2 ten day stays 1 month apart from each other. If that doesn’t say how much we love this house I don’t know what will. It has everything one would expect from a beautiful beachfront property. I don’t know why I’m talking it up so much, it’s hard enough to book already.

A great family rental house

The house was very clean, right on the beach, had all the little house necessities supplied - toilet paper, Kleenex, paper towels, laundry soap and softener sheets, hand soap, dishwasher soap, coffee makers, etc. There were tons of beach supplies. (Beware of leaving anything on the beach - we left 3 chairs and they were stolen.) The warm outdoor shower is awesome. The beds were comfortable. The evening sea breeze was usually enough to cool us off, but a couple nights were a little warm and stuffy. The yard is beautifully landscaped.

Great family home.

Pro's- All the glass windows looking out onto the ocean from almost every room in the house, the sandy beach front, views off all the decks, the amazing landscaping, .the privacy and all the comfortable furniture and beds. Con's- Dishwasher needs to be upgraded and trying to figuring out the lighting was interesting.
