Where Hobbits vacation above ground when in the "Virginia Shire". This unique, whimsical creation will sleep up to 4 guests. Hobbits do love luxury and you will find that and more here at Hobbit House! We offer in house surround sound with SiriusXM and a Bluetooth connect feature, gorgeous large tiled shower, a wood burning fireplace, outdoor grill, fire ring area, screened in porch and hot tub.

Weekend Minimum stay 2 nights Friday to Saturday, We do offer one night stays Sunday- Thursday.

We do require payment in full at the time of booking unless other arrangements are agreed to at the time of booking.

We absolutely loved staying here. The Hobbit House is so cool! It's full of Hobbit and Lord of the Rings-themed decorations. The whole thing is very whimsical, especially the canopy bed. The hot tub was nice even in summer. Lots of wildlife around too. The property was fun to explore with our dog. Riverbank Farms is down the road so we picked up some sausages and they were the best we've ever had. We chose this area for our vacation because it's so close to Shenandoah National Park. We had a great day there and enjoyed the easy drive there and back. Overall it was a great time and we can't wait to come back!

The property was perfect for a weekend get away! The host was extremely helpful and ready to help with anything we might need! Such a cute property. We enjoyed trying to find all the characters in the walls and trying to sit in each chair! The property around it was all beautifully kept and perfect for evening walks.

Everything about the Hobbit House impressed us. Excellent attention to detail in the design & decor. Wonderfully cozy & clean. Loved that it was still decorated for Christmas! We immensely enjoyed our stay here & highly recommend.

Magical from the moment we pulled up to the Hobbit House! Nothing was overlooked! Every nook held a hidden treasure. The house was clean with lovely, unique decorations. The hot tub and backyard were relaxing and well maintained. The communication was timely and appreciated. We look forward to returning to the shire again.

Our stay was too short to fully enjoy the property. We did use the hot tub - delightful. And we loved the small touches throughout. Best part was the seclusion. Next time we’ll have to plan a longer visit.

We had such a great time. It was such a cute little place and pictures on VRBO didn’t even do close to justice. It was so perfect for just the two of us and it was so cozy. We did have a little bit of issues with the water, but it was just due to a breaker flipping which maintenance did come in less than 10 minutes after messaging someone about it. We will definitely be back the details of this place are just impeccable and if you know anything about the Lord of the rings or The Hobbit, everything is spot on.

The house was very clean and the property management was excellent in communication. Privacy was also good at the Hobbit House. The trails however were much smaller than I thought they would be. Lighting was a bit difficult to figure out with a lot of switches that turned on different parts of the room. Also, ticks were a huge issue with no warning they were that bad. Every time we took a walk my dog had 2 or 3 jump on her and I had one jump on me as well. We were looking for a spot we could have privacy and a day to unwind, read a good book and take a walk. All in all that is what we got and we throughly enjoyed ourselves.

Relaxing getaway

Nice getaway

This was our second stay at the cabins of deer run. Very thoughtful touches and details throughout. We had everything we needed during our stay. We really enjoyed the trails and all the outdoor amenities. Great place.

Amazing stay! This was my second time staying at the hobbit house. The house is absolutely perfect and has everything you need! We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen( haven’t used the outdoor grill yet) and relaxing on the couch watching movies. I enjoyed seeing the deer around the property and would drink my coffee watching the rabbits every morning. This trip came at a time where I needed to relax and this was the perfect place to stay. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back again!!
