Awesome vacation

Beach Getaway

The location can’t be beat! Very quiet street and 1 min walk to the beach access. The outdoor shower is divine.

Communication with the property owner was great. House was clean, and beds and family furniture were comfortable. Very well stocked in the kitchen. Perfect place for what we needed and the amount of time that we spend in the house.... mostly at the beach.

Everything we wanted!

We had such a wonderful getaway. The house was perfect for us and had everything we needed/wanted. The walk to the beach was amazing and my favorite part!

We loved the time in Snails Pace house. Sunset Beach island is a very nice beach community, family friendly and peaceful. House felt like home - not like a rental. Kitchen is very well equipped and there are enough plates, pans, pots and all other utensils one may need when cooking on vacation.

Family vacation

A snails pace was perfect for our family vacation! The location was ideal as we had friends on the same street. The house was fully equipped with pretty much everything you’d need for a perfect home away from home stay. Great communication with the host too. We’d stay again for sure!!

Great house for larger family!

Our family of 6 had a great stay! The walk to the beach was easy even for our 3 year old, and the included wagon and toys made him one happy guy! Our teens loved the loft and included games, and everyone loved the outdoor shower. The house was clean and had many of the items we needed. We will definitely look to stay here again!

Nice and roomy

Our family enjoyed the home, Snail's Pace. It was clean and roomy. We supplied kitchen. We especially enjoyed the screened in front porch with swing and the rocking chairs. Having a nice place to stay makes vacation much more relaxing.

Location was definitely the best part of this house. Owner was very nice, the ac went out and fixing it went smoothly. House was not really clean, floors definitely had not been swept or mopped (which I know is not on the owner because it was a cleaning service, and I spoke with him about it) We wish the bathrooms had more “storage” or hooks and shelves for items, counter space was very limited in the bathrooms. Another big negative part of the house, were we’re hoping to use the loft for sleeping and it was 90 degrees and even with fans that were provided, we just couldn’t make them sleep up there. So we were down a bed. So just think about that when booking, loft is not “sleep-able” for sure. With all that being said, we would definitely stay again.

Loved this property! We found it to be spotlessly clean, the kitchen is well stocked, functioning TV's in every bedroom with a very nice wide screen smart TV in living space. The screened in front porch was icing on the cake! There are 4 comfortable rocking chairs along with a cushioned swing that make morning coffee and afternoon cocktails all the more relaxing. The owner was fabulous to respond quickly to any questions, very professional and personable. The online pictures show twins beds but in fact are 2 queens and 1 king. The bathrooms are small but functional with great hot water and pressure. All in all a very relaxing and wonderful trip! I would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect location for any family!

The location is fabulous for beach access.. Couldn't ask for more in that respect! It's just a little dated but has all you need for a fabulous week on the island... The loft stays a little toasty, but lots of fans make up for that. We LOVED the screened in front porch - spent most of our family time there. Tons of parking and loved the outdoor shower/hose to not have to make the kids strip before entering the house.. Just wash off and sit on the porch for a bit! The master bed was FABULOUS, and lots of other sleeping options... One queen bedroom even had a single cot in it for a small child! Steve was helpful and attentive, even let us park there for our last day as no one was coming that day... Such a lifesaver! We're spoiled now and may have to come back and rent this beach house next year 🌊, thanks Steve!

Great getaway

Overall, we liked this property. It was clean and located very near the beach. It was not communicated that the property had no linens until receiving the check in information. This was a challenge via plane from out of state. Other than that, liked the house!

This was an amazing house.

The property was very clean.. well equipped.. and was close to the beach. Had an amazing time. Just make sure you have toilet paper and paper towels.. they only provide 1 extra roll.

We rate Snail’s Pace as the Best House to rent. We would not consider any other place. It has everything that we want. Our family hopes to rent again next year.

Great location, short walk to the beach

This is a great location for a family vacation! It is a short walk to the beach and there is a beach wagon on-site to tote all the necessities. The home is spacious and well equipped! Thank you for allowing us to stay, can’t wait to return!

Clean, Comfortable, and Close to the Beach!

This was our first time visiting Sunset Beach and we really enjoyed it! One of the best parts of this house was the screened in porch! We spent every evening there. It’s a short walk to the beach which is super nice. The outside shower was also a huge plus! 7 adults and a one year old fit comfortably here!

Great Weekend Christmas Stay for Family

I'm a local resident and needed to rent additional space to accommodate some family members over the Christmas weekend. The location and house proved ideal. Everyone had a great stay. Would definitely recommended to others. The owner is very responsive and everything worked out well.
