Ocean Villas is a beachfront, luxury condominium complex inside the gated grounds of the world-renowned major resort (see property address for resort name).

The resort is adjacent to the awe-inspiring El Yunque rainforest, yet only a 30-minute drive to the city of San Juan. The Ocean Villas complex has three private pools (lap pool, infinity pool, kids' pool), a hot tub and a huge expansive beach providing easy access to the warm Caribbean Sea. You will have a relaxing tropical experience while a 5-minute stroll to the hotel gives you access to the excitement and nightlife of the resort's numerous entertainment options including restaurants and a full-service casino.

Our villa is located on floor 2, which gives it amazing, unobstructed views of the beach. The photos on our listing were taken from the villa, and were not zoomed in... you really will be that close to the beach and Ocean Villas pool complex!

Paradise

Our second time at this location for obvious reasons. The property is the right size for a small family, clean and comfortable. It's very quiet and secluded compared to nearby hotels, yet amenities are abundant. Steps away from the ocean and pools and a short drive to restaurants and site seeing. As close to perfect as it gets.

Nice, clean and roomy place. Great view from the balcony overlooking the pools, beach and ocean which is a short walk away!The hosts were great to work with and property managers very responsive.

This condo and resort is 100% as advertised. Incredible views of the beach, amazing pools, fantastic resort with great staff and several fantastic restaurants/bars. Its a 3-5 minute walk to the main hotel/resort area. Roots on the go has coffee, pizza and ice cream all day.The bed was super comfy and our kids found the futons to be comfy as well. The water pressure is impressive. Condo has full kitchen and a dining area. The beach is great. The owners have beach supplies. My kids loved the boogie boards! The pools are right downstairs from this 2nd floor condo. The tree frogs serenade you all night. We loved our stay!One friendly note: if you're not in one of the great pools or in the ocean, the local bugs (mainly no see ums) may eat you up. One of our family watched us in the ocean and got ate to pieces one afternoon. Definitely bring bug spray just in case.

Another wonderful stay!

This was the third time my boyfriend and I have vacationed here and we loved it just as much as our first time. The villa is exactly as pictured - very clean and comfortable, with everything you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. The view is breathtaking, and with the ocean and pools just steps away you can't go wrong. John and Taylor are wonderful hosts and the property management is very responsive to any questions or issues that may arise. We will definitely be returning again!

A lovely trip to the beach

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property has every amenity you could need. Very convenient parking and a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach has perfect and and we had it almost entirely to ourselves. There are several good restaurants and bakeries within a 15 minute drive.

Beautiful place, Great Location!!

Let's start with owners, great communication, if there are any issues they are quick to respond and have issues resolved. Great location for a relaxing time, short walk to a beautiful beach, pools right next to rooms you don't have that feel of a large resort to which you have access to right next door which has restaurants, Casino, no worries still nice and quiet! great location driving distance to restaurants, grocery. Management and Staff are responsive and easy to contact for any issues you might have. Overall we would return for another wonderful relaxing stay! Thanks John and Taylor!! Also the team at resort that made my wife's 50th the Best!! Thank you Vimarie & Melissa great job on flowers balloons champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, Gracias!

Paradise!

What a vacation! The hosts and their team made check in/out very easy and were very quick to respond with support even when we arrived later in the night. The resort is so beautiful! From the moment you drive through the main gate down to the villa complex, you are greeted with stunning views of the property grounds and rainforest mountains in the distance. The villa had everything we needed for our stay and it is in perfect location for activities on and off the resort. The pools are so beautiful and clean and felt so refreshing after a day at the beaches or after our hikes through the rainforest. The kids loved swimming in them at night under the stars. We drove to the ferry terminal in Ceiba (30-40min drive) and took it to Vieques where we stayed the night to experience Mosquito Bay (you are responsible for sleeping accommodations on the island before arriving, the ferry stops running at night). There are tons of delicious restaurants and food in the area, including the kiosks at Luquillo beach which are a short 10-15 min drive. We had such an amazing vacation and we can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

Great property w/ amazing views, amenities and location

First time visit to PR and staying at this property made paradise feel like home. The view from the balcony is absolutely amazing. Our kids loved the quick and easy access to the pools and the beach. The property was clean and well maintained. So much to do in the area - El Yunque, Luquillo beach, restaurant/shopping all just a short drive away. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit PR.

Wonderful 2nd Time Around

My family and I were looking forward to staying at this unit again, and it did not disappoint. The location, the views, the clean beautiful pools, and the waves for boogie boarding were some of our favorite things. I do wish the condo complex would upgrade their beach lounges as they're tough to get unlocked and they could definitely use an upgrade. It was a pleasure to be back. We created so many new wonderful memories in PR and this is a perfect spot for a family looking to relax, explore, and have some fun. We will forever be in love with the wonderful porch and the views for days.

Best balcony EVER

This was truly a slice of heaven! For the same amount of money to stay in a small, one bedroom hotel room, we were able to have a bedroom, family room, kitchen, and gorgeous balcony. We were able to eat in for breakfast and lunches and splurge outside of the villa for dinners. We were close to all the attractions we wanted to see. The ocean villas were close enough to the Wyndham hotel to walk for restaurants but we had our own beautiful pools, Jacuzzi and lawn games. Our beach was amazing and… I can’t say enough about that balcony and waking up each morning to that view of the ocean and swinging, palm trees! Our hosts communicated with us via email, and they gave us a hospitality packet that detailed directions and recommendations. We used the hospitality book and were not disappointed. This was our best VRBO experience to date! We will be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

Great first experience in Puerto Rico

Had a great vacation in Puerto Rico. The location of this condo is amazing. Very near a quiet but fun beach, a short 3 mins walk to restaurants and more lively pools. The condo itself was stocked with just enough for what we needed. Our king bed was very comfortable and our two girls slept well on the futons - sheets and pillows provided. It can get quite sandy and sort of damp with the beach and humidity - had I had the foresight, I would have sprung for a mid-week cleaning. Outside of the condo itself, the pool area is VERY quiet. No music is allowed and we received a couple of "warnings" (oops!!). We had many other families staying at this same location at other VRBO's, which was great because it allowed us to each secure a condo at our own price range. However, this large of a group can get a bit rowdy. The common areas were pretty worn down and in need of a good update - elevators, pool area, etc. One of the hot tub wasn't working but it wasn't a big deal for us because the new hot tub is REALLY big and they allowed kids in it. Restaurants over at the main hotel were GREAT. The gym was less than impressive and could use a HUGE update. We LOVED going across the main highway and found some fun restaurants. John and Taylor were both so great and helpful. The communication was awesome. We just had a bit of trouble figuring out where we were supposed to go to check-in. Took us an extra 15-20 mins to locate the key. Overall a super fun trip and would stay again!!

A peaceful slice of paradise!

My wife and I stayed here for 10 beautiful days! It is almost like staying at a private resort without feeling isolated! The villa is within the gated grounds of the Wyndham Rio Mar Resort, yet it is separate and much more private. There were rarely more than 6 people on the beach, the pools are beautiful and again, rarely more than 6-8 people using them, quite often, just my wife and I! When I sent pics to friends and family, they asked if we were staying in a private, exclusive resort! The villa is very comfortable, has a fantastic ocean view and is decorated very nicely with a slight ‘Island vibe’! The kitchen is a perfect size, we made breakfast every day and enjoyed eating on the large terrace while listening to the birds and ocean waves. The hosts, John and Taylor we’re definitely the most communicative, friendly and accommodating hosts we have ever encountered. You can take a 5 minute walk to the resort for restaurants and casino or drive a short distance to some excellent restaurants. I could go on and on, but then we’d have to book even sooner for our next vacation here! We will definitely be back!

Family vacation

Such a great condo! It was very clean and well appointed. We had such an amazing time. The pools were wonderful and the beach was beautiful. My kids loved the waves and the boogie boards. They also spent a lot of time in the hot tub. The owners were very helpful and responsive when I couldn’t find the access info to the unit. The resort was close and convenient for dinners and lunches. The proximity of El Yunque Forest was also very convenient. We will definitely be back.

Gorgeous view, great pools, so much nearby

This unit is perfect for two couples, soaking in the view, the warmth, the golf, hiking, swimming, roaming around the northeastern end of Puerto Rico. Property manager Vimarie is responsive and the unit is fully equipped.

Great location, well equipped

As a family of five we stayed here rather than the hotel next door. The whole Rio Mar development is gated and feels very secure. Grounds, golf courses and pools are well kept. Beaches get swells from the open Atlantic which makes for good breaking waves, fun boogie boarding. Sometimes a bit rough for swimming and signs warn of rip current. The villas are very quiet. The Wyndham is an easy 3-5 minute walk for a more lively scene, bars, restaurant, gift shop, casino although all very expensive. We spent lots of time in El yunque at the visitor center, hiking and took a night forest tour, it's a very easy drive. The condo is really well equipped with kitchen gear beach toys, and washer dryer. Overall it was a perfect spot for quiet family beach getaway.

Beachfront property! Awesome couch on the balcony! Comfy bed!

Words cannot describe how wonderful this beachfront condo is. The owners promptly communicated with us any questions that we had. Having morning coffee on the balcony was a special treat every morning. They provided the basic essentials that you could want, and whatever else we just went to the store to buy extra of. The air-conditioning in the unit was great! It was just my husband and I and we were very comfortable in the king size bed. We brought our own pillows. it was wonderful having a washer and dryer as you did not need to bring many clothes and I brought my own tide pods. It is awesome having a kitchen where we could eat breakfast and lunch and just go out for dinners. The beachfront is absolutely stunning with a sand color I have not seen before in my travels. You can totally hear the ocean waves. It’s so soothing! The pool is barely used and it was so nice not having loud people like staying at a hotel. Next door the hotel is very close and has restaurants and a casino. We had our own reserved parking spot which was nice and they have rolling luggage carriers so you could bring your groceries and luggage to your condo easily. I feel we definitely will be back when we are in the mood to take a very relaxing vacation.

Relaxing beachfront stay in Rio Grande.

We had a wonderful week- condo, property and location were just as advertised. I have stayed in other short term rentals that offer a bit more in terms of supplies in kitchen and bathroom but we had what we needed. We appreciated the washer/dryer too. King bed in bedroom was super comfortable and we loved the black out shades. The leather futons in living room were fine for our teen, but not the most comfortable to sleep on. We loved the long beach, quiet pool, and being so close to the nearby resort so we could use it as we chose. Overall it was just as advertised and we would go back!

Great Stay!

The condo is a little slice of heaven and we really enjoyed our stay! It's very well equipped and has everything one could possibly need for a nice relaxing vacation. The bed is comfy, the view is beautiful and the pool is only a few steps away. It's also very convenient having the Wyndham next door for little odds and ends or just to grab a meal. We hope to be visit again soon!

Return to Paradise

This was our second stay in this specific unit and it does not disappoint. Location, Location, Location. Unit is clean, solid air conditioning and easy access to pool area and beach. The location is safe and it convenient to both restaurants in the nearby resort as well as shopping (huge grocery store nearby). Hosts are communicative and helpful. We will be back.
