The Administrative Fee is subject to change based on the number of nights booked and dates of travel. The administrative fee and property fee are non-refundable.

For reservations 14 or more nights a mid-stay clean is required every 14 nights and the fee will be added to all reservations.

Tranquil and peaceful

Proximity to beach, natural light, and tranquility above expected. They charged for heating the pool, which was unexpected--its possible that I missed it in the contract. Overall Great experience. Will return someday soon!

Not Exactly Bad But......

This basically beautiful house looked better in the photos than in reality. It would really benefit from some TLC before guests check in. No one will meet you upon check-in, so you have to figure out how everything works by yourself. It smelled a bit stale and was all closed up when we arrived. No welcoming flowers, fruit or wine bottle but plenty of notes of 'Do Not...'For a rental cost of over 1800 per night I have higher expectations!!

Awesome place, awesome location.

The house is great, air-conditioning, the grill, the oven - all worked well, location can’t be beat. A pool is a nice addition - refreshing swim after dinner, watching the stars was cool :-)

Great location and awesome house

House was beautiful and very comfortable. Having air conditioning was very nice in Kauai. The location was exceptional and right on the water. It was only 15 minute walk to Tunnels Beach. Excellent stay. I would highly recommend the house to anybody.

Beautiful north shore retreat!

This was the perfect house for my family to retreat for a week - nearby Hanalei was lovely and we found several beaches to drive to for swimming. The beach outside the property is not swimmable, as described in the listing, but there are many spots nearby. The house had everything we needed to dine in, plenty of towels and great laundry room. The kids also loved the private pool! Being new to this island, we were expecting some rain (and were pleasantly surprised with great weather!) but we were not aware that this time of year the strong swells/tide washes out the snorkeling areas, so we had to alter plans as the nearby snorkeling beaches were not swimmable. Even so, it was a beautiful area and so peaceful just listening to the ocean. We can’t wait to come back!

Kauai on the Sand

Amazing place. My wife and I celebrated 20 years of marriage by staying here for 9 days. Amazing home, location is perfect with great long beach walks from backyard. Remote location, but yet 10 minutes or so to grocery/ restaurants / shops. Home has just about everything you could ask for. Felt guilty that we did not share the place by inviting friends or family... Blessed to have been able to stay here... We will be back!

Wonderful stay

Holo Makani is even better than it looks! It was the perfect house and the perfect location for exploring the north shore. We especially loved listening to the water all night and the beautiful views from the house. The house has everything you need for preparing meals, spending time at the beach or just relaxing on the lanai. We will definitely be returning!

A Piece of Heaven on Earth

This was our second stay at Holo Makani—beautiful setting, fabulous house with everything you could ever need, and excellent property management. We have traveled many places and stayed in many rentals but we are all in agreement that this is our favorite!

Our stay was nothing short of magical! The house was even better than described. Beds were extremely comfortable, kitchen was stocked with high quality items. We loved the games and books in the home. The pool was so much fun. Great rental!

Perfect in every way

The experience with this place was seamless and stress-free, from beginning to end. Booking was easy, property manager was thoughtful and responsive, and most importantly of all the house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our group of two families. We loved the pool, the lanai, and with all of our beach and pool time made great use of the two up-to-date washers and dryers! Everything was thoughtfully appointed and beautiful. Highly recommended!

This property was really great. It was comfortable, clean, and felt very homey. The property owner worked with me on last minute accommodations. This is one of my favorite neighborhoods in NOLA when I come back to town with my kids & we would happily stay here again

I could live on the porch!

Spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean that you can enjoy from the porch. The porch alone is a place I could stay the entire time. But when you open up all the sliding glass doors the whole house turns into a lanai. Its fantastic. The kitchen has everything you need too. The ocean hums you to sleep at night and you can literally fall out of bed onto the beach in the morning.

SPECTACULAR HOME IN HAENA!!!

Absolutely gorgeous home, on the beach, with a heated pool. The views and sounds of the crashing surf never got tiresome. The pool was used everyday, it’s sunny and there’s very little wind. The house was extremely well equipped. The kitchen was awesome. We made the best memories in and around the house. I highly recommend Holo Makani for a family retreat!

Wild natural beauty surrounds your luxurious and private retreat!

We were on a family reunion and retreat from work and the stress of these past years. This home was as beautifully appointed as it looks in the photos, with memorable touches such as comfy beds with plush bedding. It was a dream come true for all of us; whether we wanted to hike or just relax on the lanai. The property managers picked up the phone when we needed their help and saved the day!

Serene and Great Views

We stayed here for a week with our three children, ages 8, 11, and 13 and my in laws. We felt like the house had plenty of room for all of us to spread out. Kitchen was well appointed and linens in bedrooms were good quality. Beach towels were nice and big. They provided great equipment for the beach including comfortable chairs, boogie boards and pool floaties. Pool was lots of fun and the perfect after beach activity. We had great sunset walks on the beach from the property. The beach out front is not swimmable. The lanai has comfortable chairs perfect for watching the ocean. Relaxing location about 20 minutes outside of Hanalei Bay.

Beautiful property, fantastic holiday!

My family and I were looking for a peaceful and restorative holiday in beautiful surroundings and this property certainly delivers on all counts. The house is so spacious and well laid out that we never once felt crowded, even with four adults and two small kids. The ocean views are stunning and the bold sounds of the surf drifting right in through the many windows is amazing. We sought help/guidance on a few things while we were there & Joanne and the team were helpful and responsive. The pool and proximity to the beach couldn't be topped. We strongly recommend this property - & look forward to coming back again!

Beautiful Vacation

In 2020, our Sydney, Australia and Texas divided family planned to meet halfway in Hawaii. Then…well. Throughout, Joanne worked with us to insure we could flip ahead one year. We just returned from our most fantastic holiday, even though we are all in Texas at this point! Thank you for the gracious assistance, flawless home, and the chance to celebrate coming out on the “other side” of this pandemic. p.s. 2 year old Theo sends his regards to Peppa and George who live in the toy box.
