WHY STAY ANYWHERE IN HILO BUT CLOSE TO BEACHES AND OCEAN WHERE THE WEATHER IS BEST!!!

Lovely beach studio located a minute walking distance to ocean with small swimming cove and tide pools.

The studio is AC comfortable which ensures cool and comfortable days and evenings to help with our high island humidity. There is also a full kitchen and small dining area for two, queen size bed, full shower bath, double futon sofa bed, cable TV, wifi, and private parking.
The outdoor lanai has a private barbecue grill and outdoor dining area with garden view.
A washer and dryer is also available for guest use.

We are centrally located only a 5 minute drive from the airport and Richardson's Beach Park where you an enjoy surfing, snorkeling, and paddle boarding.
Downtown Hilo Farmers Market with fresh island fruits, vegetables, and ethnic foods are a 5 minute drive away. Close by is also the Suisan Fish Market where you can shop for a wide variety of fresh fish and other seafood. Tropical Hilo gardens are a short 5 minute drive away.
The Volcano, other tropical gardens along the Hamakua coast and zipline waterfall parks are also a short 30 minute drive away.

Absolutely Amazing

The studio was above our expectations. For such a small square footage, it had everything we needed and was so well thought out for placement of everything. There was a beautiful tables for eating outside or just enjoying the night siunds of the frogs. Everything was so clean and the decor was beautiful. We enjoyed the quaint beach at the end of the road and the outdoor shower. This place thought of everything from coolers to mosquito spray to binoculars. The host left us some delicious bananas and cookies as well. We will definitely stay here again upon our return to Hilo. Absolutely perfect!!

Paradise in Hilo

My wife and I stayed at this property for our anniversary trip to the big island. This property is truly a gem! We stayed in the studio unit, which is well equipped and a perfect size for a couple. It has a wonderful quiet AC unit which kept the room cool and comfortable during the night or if you want to cool down after spending time in the sun. The grounds were so nicely kept! Wonderful landscaping (loved the papaya tree!), shaded seating areas (and loungers in the sun), a nice propane Weber grill for grilling, shared washer and dryer, just a short walk to the beach, and a outside shower house after you're done made this truly your own paradise. There are a lot of beach "extras" supplied such as beach chairs, boogie boards, and a cooler for food/beverages, which came in handy. Best of all, it was so nice interacting with Claudia & Dave, the owners! They are very kind, helpful, and a pleasure to talk with. Thank you, Claudia, for making our anniversary trip so wonderful, relaxing, and memorable!

Hilo tide pools- studio apartment

We loved every minute of our 10 night vacation in this completely appointed studio by the ocean. I soaked in the tide pools every day and came home refreshed

Excellent, affordable studio

We loved this little studio, which is perfect for a couple or even a couple with one or two small children. Don’t let the drive through an somewhat industrial section of Hilo fool you. Once you get to this little place, tucked away in a lush part of the island near the beach, you’ll be happy you stayed there. Everything was perfect for us, though be advised that the bed and pillows are quite firm. Don’t leave food out where ants might be attracted to it, which is good advice anywhere in Hawaii. The coqui frogs are pretty loud in the area at night, but the owner courteously provided earplugs. The location is very convenient to a number of amenities in town, just a very short drive away. There are also several beach parks nearby that are excellent for seeing sea turtles and for snorkeling. We would happily stay here again.

Great Studio

Good size studio for my husband and I. The full size kitchen is nice. Location is pretty private. Loved the bananas and sweet bread the hosts left for us.

Three wonderful nights!

My husband and I stayed here a few nights during our 2 weeks in the Hawaiian islands for our 30th wedding anniversary. It was very clean and updated! The host was very easy to get in touch with when I had a question. It was a very quiet neighborhood with a peaceful garden area in the back! We loved it! Thank you Claudia!!!

Great place close to Hilo

We have stayed in some studios in the past and they were “cozy”, in other words small. NOT this one. Plenty of room for two people. Great morning walks on the nearby rocky shores. All the amenities. Claudia is an awesome host. Hilo is a ton of fun. Destination Food Tours, Hawaiian Ziplining and Hawaii Tropical Gardens are all highly recommended. Fantastic stay. Thanks Claudia.

Perfect Couples Retreat

As advertised. Small, but perfect for a couple or friends getaway. Perfect lanai for drinking coffee or grilling out. Convenient W/D. Everything provided. Short walk to beach area, BEAUTIFUL! Lava rocks that form little tide pools. Definitely recommend!

Private, comfortable and clean

This studio rental is one of 3 rentals at this location. The main house is divided into upstair and downstair units. Our studio is a detached building which has been recently remodeled. It features quality construction and a well equipped kitchen and an efficient AC system. This unit is well located in a private, secluded neighborhood about 5-10 minutes from downtown Hilo. When arriving we were pleased at the spotless condition of the unit and the "ohana" of bananas and loaf of Hawaiian "rainbow" bread. We enjoyed our stay in Hilo and this unit played a significant role.

Amazing property

This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property. The location is perfectly located near a ocean front park and Hilo. The property is very well appointed and very accessible for the mobility challenged. Check in is very easy. Would definitely recommend it to anyone who is planning a visit to Hilo.

Just the Place we Needed

A great spot for the two of us. Quiet neighborhood, a few steps from the ocean. If it had not rained CONSTANTLY, it would have been a perfect getaway trip.

Hilo Studio

Great location. Has a nice residential feel vs. the large hotel or resort rentals. Loved being able to walk about 100 yards to the ocean. We had some very rainy weather so were not able to go to volcanoes, but if we were to go it was not a bad drive. Loved having the coqui frogs sing us to sleep each night. Would stay here again.

Comfortable studio apartment

A bit small for us, but clean and well equipped. Loved the patio and appreciated the grill. Enjoyed listening to frogs in the evening and birds in the morning.The water is just a stroll away. Quite a sight, with high surf warnings out.

Relaxing in the studio

My husband and I truly enjoyed our stay at the studio in Hilo. The room was clean and organized. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, bread, bananas and flowers. The tables outside made the site seem larger than it is. Even though we are in the city it seemed more country. We would recommend this place.

The accommodations were wonderful. It’s away from everything but close as well. As outlined the beach is around the corner. There is a secluded spot just a few minute walk from the studio. It’s an hour from Volcano National Park, an hour from Isaac Hale Beach, and 2-2.5 hours from green sand beach. They have everything you need, beach towels, chairs, water shoes, snorkels, washer, dryer, and boogie boards. Ross, Target, and Safeway we’re a 10 minute or less drive. As for pans, utensils, spices, all were there and I only had to worry about buying food. Again, thank you so much for making the stay so easy and accommodating. I will definitely stay again if given the opportunity.
