Very reasonable rate. Host was a little tough to contact at first but after contacting they were very responsive and accommodating. Will definitely book again!!

Very nice place to stay, especially with a bunch of folks. Bedrooms are separated and the central areas are very nice. Hosts are helpful!

Alexander House is spacious and pool is extra nice. We enjoyed our stay and property is close to lots of amenities. Property could use a deep cleaning.

Summer family getaway

One last getaway before school starts overall very pleasant stay, pool was relaxing ,house is far enough from town but in a great area for wine tasting

House was very clean. Excellent location

Beds were very comfortable and house had all the necessities. Lots of room to spread out. Beautiful property with a great location!!!

The property is old, things were not well taken care of, and the there was persistent being from the closed off part of the house that made it hard to sleep.The main house was said to be for seven or more people, however it has three small beds and a pull out couch in the living room. The living room didn’t have blinds or bedding for that bed. It can at most fit 3 people comfortably. The best part was the pool.

Thank you for your review. You had not contacted us regarding any issues during your stay. The check in information noted there is extra sheets and blankets in the chest in the living area with 2 pull out sofa beds. The 3 beds are queen beds, so are quite sufficient for 2 people to sleep comfortably in each. I am sorry the stay did not meet your needs. We would have liked you to contact us with any issues as noted in the check in information, and we could have accommodated you in making your experience a better one.

Great Place for Family Time

They property was perfect for us, we had a Family Event to attend and it was a great home base to relax and be together for the entire weekend. One side note: Its location is great for events at Garrison Brothers Distillery which is about 7 minutes away by car.

Home away from Home

If you are looking for some peace and quiet away from the city this is the place to be. Close enough to restaurants and market and wineries. The nights were great with a dip in the pool.

Nice place for a big group

Property was as advertised and worked out great for us. The only issue was the A/C didn’t cool all that well, but the weather was nice so no great bother.

Super Chill Property

We hunt annually in the area and this was the perfect property for our group. Lots of space inside and out, deer crossing in the back and the most beautiful sunrise coming through the back windows. We are looking forward to next year!

Wine Country Thanksgiving

Great location for wineries around Johnson City and Fredericksburg. The accommodations were very roomy for an extended family trip. The house is dated but very clean! The pool was nice but not of use to us in Nov and outside lighting lit up the grounds at the back of the house.

Christmas tradition

This is the second year my wife, son, and his girlfriend spent Christmas in the Hill Country. The Country Life experience was a perfect location. Comfortable property. Jeff and Alexa are excellent hosts.

outstanding overall location, and facilities !

Rode up with our church group from Tomball for the Fandango vintage motorcycle event. The property was easy to find, a fantastic location, very clean, with more than enough space to park a couple of bikes and a trike. The bedrooms were comfortable, isolated and quiet. Loved the pool and the grill! Yeah, we are coming back!

Great location

This place is perfectly situated in wine country. There was a problem with the heater but the owner got someone there on the 1st day. She was very good about communicating everything with me.

Amazing

Took a weekend getaway just my mom, brother and myself. We were super super excited loved the place awesome quiet and close to so many wineries. Super super clean house pool was super clean but unfortunately weather didn’t permit to use. We will definitely book again the whole family for a getaway.
