Pine Place is a two bedroom, fully furnished, private apartment. All linens are provided. Master bedroom has queen bed, 2nd bedroom has two twin beds and there is a queen sleep sofa with memory foam mattress in the living room. Insulated blackout shades in bedrooms. Free WiFi, 3 TV/DVDs, gas fireplace, oversized whirlpool tub, full sized kitchen, washer/dryer on premise, A/C, private off street parking, BBQ, yard, deck and beautiful flower gardens. In winter, you can walk to the xc ski trails. You can walk the 4 blocks to the Main Street in Lake Placid where the shops, restaurants and movies are located. Sustainable with recycling mandatory and composting available, free and clear detergents, etc.

Great stays for a ski trip

We enjoyed our stay and proximity to whiteface and downtown. House was clean and cozy - nice water pressure and washer/dryer.

Location, location, location

We stayed at Peggy’s place while we were in town for a family wedding. This place is a great location if you are looking to be close to town. Only minutes from all the lake placid legacy sites, downtown shops and eateries. We made it work with a family of 6, but it was a little tight with just one bathroom, but would be perfect for a family of 4. House was clean and well stocked. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

DONT HESITATE!!

This place is like staying at a friends house. It’s VERY clean. No bugs (as a nurse something I always look for-I’ve seen to many), amazing water pressure, and everything you could need in the kitchen. There are two air conditioning units and that will cool the whole place. The pull out sofa has a mattress topper and it’s very comfortable. You can walk to the village, the location is great. Don’t hesitate to book this gem!

Fun times in Lake Placid

Travelled to Lake Placid for an extended family weekend and had a wonderful time. The apartment location was perfect allowing us to walk to the main drag for shopping/dining and drive to locations further away avoiding the typical high traffic areas in/around town

Lovely Apt but owner very deceiving

The apt was lovely. We stayed there for a few days for the Ice Skating competition. I have lived or visited lake placid for almost 40 years. Never have I ever had a scenario like this one. We cleaned the apt OVER AND ABOVE all expectations. We mopped the floors and vacuumed the carpets and took the sheets off the beds and put them in the washing machine. The owner texted me that we left a banana peel under the couch and a fork and that there was dog food from our service dog all over the apt. That is absolutely impossible as we fully vacuumed everywhere. We stayed there with my parents and my mother is an ocd person who helped me to clean every room immaculately. I took pictures after we cleaned because I had a feeling that this woman was going to mess with us. While we were there she knocked on the door. My mothers service dog was with us - which she was nice enough to approve but then she said (in front of the kids) " you can come back when your dogs die". It was so rude. We tried to throw the garbage away but she insisted that we keep the garbage in the room on the porch - and then she mysteriously went through our trash and accused us of throwing things away that was her. I am absolutely appalled and still waiting for my sec deposit back.I find It horrible that she was prepared to mess with us from the get go.

It was very much appreciated how clean the property was! Can’t stress this enough. It was accurately listed and a convenient walk to Main Street. It was a good experience.

Great stay

We did a weekend trip. My two daughter's and their two sons. The house was a perfect fit and the location was great. Check-in was easy and the house was clean and had everything that we needed. We will definitely keep this location on the short list for future stays.

Weekend Guys Trip

This place is phenomenal. The pictures did not do it justice. Very spacious and beautifully decorated. The hosts thought of everything! Wish we could have stayed longer. We had an overnight snowstorm and woke up to our porch and steps already shovelled! Highly recommend this property! Already planning for next year!

Second stay

Perfect home away from home. Will absolutely look here first any time we need a lake placid place to stay. Beds comfy. Kitchen had what we needed. Pristinely clean. Lovely owner.

Another Great Stay

This is the third time my family has stayed here at Pine Place, and we have every reason to keep coming back. The location in the village is outstanding and the unit layout is comfortable and well suited for our family. Peggy is a great host who communicates well, has great recommendations for things to do, and truly cares about ensuring we have a great stay in Lake Placid. I can't recommend this place enough and will definitely be back next year!

Fantastic property

This is the 3rd of 4th time we have stayed. We intend to book again next year. We love this property. Comfy beds, great location, lovely flat snd great host. Couldn’t be better.

Cozy Home Away From Home

My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay here at Pine Place in Lake Placid. The apartment was so cozy and comfortable; it was beautifully decorated, very clean and supplied with just about everything you could possibly need. Peggy, the host, was very kind, responsive, and was a pleasure to do business with. We will definitely be going back to this wonderful serene place!

Fall foliage incredible

My husband and I completed our New England fall foliage tour with 4 nights at Pine Place in Lake Placid. It was AMAZING! The house felt Like a quaint cabin and was walkable to the many shops and restaurants on Mirror Lake as well as the Olympic Center, and drivable to incredible hikes. The owner visited us on arrival and provided excellent suggestions for where to eat and hike which were spot on. We hope to return and stay here again!! Highly recommend.

Enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our time here at Pine Place! Stayed for a quick weekend. Great location in town, but beware the hill to town has an invigorating hill. The place is very clean and comfortable. We will likely stay again.

Lovely Pine Place

Great, cozy location in Lake Placid. Nice living space for 6 of us and a couple more visitors to celebrate daughter’s engagement. Would have walked to Main Street but hill and 16 mile hike left us too little in legs.

Cozy, well-equipped home in ideal location

The homeowner thought of every detail. The home was cozy, well-equipped and a lovely setting for a weekend in Lake Placid. The location is ideal, as it is within walking distance to downtown but is on a quiet street, surrounded by trees.

I moved to Lake Placid in 1995 because of the abundance of outdoor activities in all seasons. I was pleased to discover an abundant arts community as well. I bought my small house in 1998 and built the Pine Place addition in 2002. I am a dual citizen with Canada and speak French. I love to travel internationally, especially on adventure travel trips.

Pine Place is right in town so you can walk to almost everything! It's in a nice neighborhood. When I bought the house, Pine Place was not there. I built the addition that has Pine Place in 2002, acting as my own general contractor! I am very proud of what we created and know you will love staying there.

I maintain Pine Place myself and am pleased that it has many extras not found in other rentals. Pine Place has paper towels, dish and laundry soap, salt/pepper/spices and is beautifully furnished with antiques, original art and taxidermy. It's more like a home than a rental.
