FULL DESCRIPTION

Beautiful 1920's 2 Bedroom Bungalow Cottage sleeps 4 and has been featured in DOMINO Magazine, COUNTRY LIVING Magazine and HGTV's 'Small Space, Big Style. It is nestled in the heart of the Adirondack Park in the Village of Lake Placid New York, home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympic Games.

Built in 1924, is 1000 sq ft, recently restored and renovated, this 2 bedroom Cottage has 1 king and 1 queen bedrooms, sleeps four comfortably but can accommodate up to six people. The bedrooms are rail-road style, separated by a french door and share a common front door. There is a full bath with a pedestal sink and antique claw foot tub and shower. The living room has Samsung Flat screen, Spectrum LiveTV , MAX, Netflix, Prime, Wireless Audio Engine Speakers, FREE WI-FI internet access. Fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and full-service laundry room. There is also a Studio Cottage, sleep 2 that shares the property and is completely separate.

Linen and towels are provided!

Guests can tour the Olympic Village, ski, bobsled, and take the luge ride. The famed Lake Placid Lodge is nearby for fine dining and the Whiteface Club offers both golf and tennis. Children's programs, theater, music, museums, and nightlife are all close at hand.

Here is a shortlist of the activities in and around Lake Placid: mountain cycling, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, golfing, hiking, mountain climbing, sailing, sight-seeing, shopping, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, downhill skiing, snowshoeing, swimming, tennis, and horseback riding. Clean, cute, as pictured, great fenced in yard, cozy spot for a summer stay with our dog. Would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat! Excellent location re: proximity to downtown Lake Placid, and access to high peaks area. Walking distance to some great restaurants as well.

GO-Cottage is a charming little home and perfect for a stay in Lake Placid. It is perfectly situated near downtown and minutes away from the multitude of trails in the area. We spent the week with our dogs and appreciated the comforts the cottage afforded. It has a small fenced-in yard and is set back enough from the street, providing a quiet and safe space for them to play. The home itself is cozy and comfortable. Like most reviewers have said, it would be best for a couple or small family, as the bedrooms are attached and you have to go through one to get to the other. There is 1 small bathroom with a claw-foot tub/shower, so unsteady guests will need to be careful getting in and out of it, but the water pressure is great and never runs out of hot water. The dishwasher and washer/dryer were also a huge plus. Sharon is extremely helpful and responsive, both before and during our stay, and was thoughtful to provide instructions for the little quirks of the house (ie, smart TV remote, shower knob directions, etc). We really enjoyed Lake Placid and would stay at GO-Cottage the next time we make the trip up!

Great stay!

We had a great time in Lake Placid at this beautiful Cottage. The cottage was very close to everything in Lake Placid and had a great fenced in yard for our pup to play in! Would highly recommend!

Cute and Welcoming

The property was well maintained, clean and comfortable.Would recommend framing the instructions on how to use the tub faucets so all guests have in sight for reference in case guest doesn't make a print out prior to their stay.

Nice Getaway

Enjoyed our stay. So nice to be able to bring our dog with us. Easy walk to restaurants. Ideal spot for a couple but could be challenging if more than two as you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other.

This cottage was perfect for our long weekend getaway in Lake Placid! Cottage was well equipped with everything we needed, kitchen and bath! Location is very walkable and easy to get to the center of town. Nice fenced in yard for the dogs. Very relaxing.

We decided last minute to take a mini vacation hiking near Lake Placid. GO Cottage was a perfect lodging choice for us. It was comfortable, clean quiet, and stocked with everything we could need. We spent most of our time hiking and visiting downtown . We couldn’t have asked for a more convenient and comfortable place to return to. We did cook dinner two nights and found the kitchen had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here when we come again.

Go cottage lovely

Go cottage was a lovely home, well stocked with everything you need. Beautiful decor and property. Downtown village of lake placid was not a reasonable walk and the road is heavily traveled and noisy at times.

Charming Details

This adorable cottage had a beautiful aesthetic and thoughtful details that we really appreciated such as large coffee mugs for people who really enjoy coffee; a yoga mat; a nice fireplace space heater which made lounging on the sofa nice and cozy and soft linens on the bed.

Perfect Location & Dog Friendly

The location of this property is perfect for someone with dogs - walking distance to Mirror Lake and downtown restaurants but just far enough that you don't have to deal with parking and traffic issues that come up if you are actually downtown. The furnishings are tasteful and there is an enclosed yard so you can let your dogs out without worrying. There is a convenience store a block away that has all the essentials and the major grocery is a 4 mile drive away.

Charming cottage in Lake Placid

This is a very charming cottage. Full kitchen and a nice kitchen table to accomodate friends and family. The place was very clean. As a side note, you need to go thru the second bedroom to access the bathroom. The Go Cottage was a beautiful place to spend a weekend with friends. We will consider this place again. Much better than some of the hotels around. And it's walking distance to the village. Really great location! The Go Cottage news letter will make you want to go back to Lake Placid!

Cute Cottage

In Lake Placid for a lacrosse tourney. Cottage was perfect location to a few great restaurants, The Corner Store, the lax fields and great hiking. Well maintained and nice appliances, fluffy towels and note/bottle of wine was nice touch upon arrival. The king bedroom is a walk through from the queen bedroom. Bathroom is small, but updated. Comfortable for 3 of us. Only 3 windows with screens that I could tell, but I am someone who prefers windows open and air flow, so it was a bit stuffy due to hot temps the days we were there. Fans throughout home and an air unit in queen bedroom. Overall would recommend and I’m sure beautiful in fall and winter. Sharon was helpful and responded promptly with any questions.

Super cute fully stocked cottage

We loved our time we spent at this cottage with our two dogs. First the yard is so nice - an oasis set back from the road, fully fenced in with beautiful towering pine trees in the front. Inside the hosts thoughtfulness of providing clean white bedsheets neatly folded on each bed and a dog biscuit so that our dogs could lay up on the bed brought a smile to both our faces. It is exactly what we do at home so I found this a wonderful surprise. The kitchen is well stocked - several coffee makers! I loved the setup of the place for us. The dining room table is really nice! The kitchen setup was easy for me to cook - loved the window which I had opened up when I was cooking. The entire experience reminded me of the cottages we use to stay in when I was little. Such character in this home. The bedrooms are such that french doors separate the two rooms with only being able to get to the one bedroom by walking thru the other room. For us this was fine as we kept the french doors open and used the two rooms as one big room. Actually was kind of nice that way. The smaller room with the king bed and the french doors open was cozy. I will say it probably is not ideal for two couples traveling together but definitely fine for families. Best linens on the beds and the bathroom!!!! We slept great. Great yard for our dogs. Great vacation.

Cute Cottage

GO-Cottage is in a perfect location! Nestled back off the road about 100 ft in a fenced-in yard. It's quite, private, and just a 1-minute drive or 10-15 minute walk to Main st. and all the attractions.

GO-Cottage is a special property and we're told there isn't anything quite like it in Lake Placid. It's a modern 1920's design, with a very open, bright, loving atmosphere. Our guests return frequently.
