Luxurious Mountain Retreat for the Discerning Traveler

The beauty and serenity of the western North Carolina Mountains never fails to fill visitors with joy and peace. We purchased our own three acres of heaven and built a luxurious Guest House so we can share the mountain experience with you.

The Guest House sleeps 4 with two queen beds. The house has been designed for maximum relaxation and pampering. Situated on the bold creek that runs through the property, every room opens onto a 46’ covered deck that overlooks the creek. You can open large sliding glass doors to let the relaxing sound of the creek fill the house or wander out onto the deck to enjoy the fresh mountain air and sunshine.

Careful consideration went into every aspect of our Guest House accommodations. There are two comfortable master bedroom suites with inviting private baths. Relax in the central great-room in front of an evening fire. The gourmet kitchen with cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite countertops is a weekend chef’s delight!

We have furnished and outfitted the Guest House to please even the most discerning traveler. You will enjoy comfortable queen beds with smooth linens and full pillows. Large ensuite baths with soft towels and complimentary soaps and shampoos. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a romantic dinner, hearty breakfast or picnic lunch to take on a hike. The living room has comfortable seating in front of a wood-burning fireplace and large, Smart TV. Out on the deck, there are relaxing rockers where you can put your feet up and enjoy a good book. For summer nights, there is a great fire pit situated in a bend of the creek.

While The Guest House offers a peaceful and private retreat, it is close to everything that makes western North Carolina so appealing as a vacation getaway. Outdoor adventures abound. Take an invigorating hike or rafting trip, a leisurely walk around Lake Junaluska or experience zip-lining through the scenic forest. Enjoy casual or upscale dining and delightful shopping in charming downtown Waynesville, just five minutes away. Drive 30 minutes to Asheville for more dining and shopping opportunities or to visit the always incredible Biltmore Estate.

The house is easily accessible and available year-round. We invite you to relax and re-energize at our North Carolina Guest House. We’re sure you will fall in love with the magic of these glorious mountains!

Absolutely loved our stay! The Guest House was perfect from the time we walked in! Very spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. Loved the large back deck with the creek flowing through the property was so serene. Enjoyed the evenings with the doors open and the soothing sound of the creek.We had our black lab with us and she loved getting in the cool water of the creek and hanging out in the yard.The house has all the amenities that you need for a relaxing, stress free stay! The host, Peg was great with communication regarding our stay...she was so kind and even provided a bottle of wine and dog treats for Mattie!

Lovely house

Excellent and relaxed, I loved the way the owners welcomed us with a card, wine and a Christmas tree. The place is very quiet. To spend it as a family with my dog.

Man get away

We loved everything! If we could change anything, it would be a little closer to entertainment. It rained almost every day so the outdoor “fun” was very limited (not anyone’s fault)! The cabin was clean, neat, and tidy. It was also peaceful! A great place to rejuvenate, gather, rest, eat, etc!! Would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful visit to the North Carolina Mountains The cabin was clean & tidy and cozily furnished. My girlfriend, doggy & I all enjoyed every moment on the property. The highlight was definitely having breakfast & dinners on the back porch area with the babbling creek just maybe 20 or so feet away

Relax and Unwind

A beautiful view of a stream with a peaceful flowing water. Nice big porch to rest and enjoy the beauty. Perfect place to reset and forget the cares of the world. I would recommend this location to everyone!

Perfect Escape

A wonderful little creekside escape. Perfect for us to get away and enjoy the NC mountains. Very clean and nicely appointed and the host was very gracious in having all the basics taken care of when we walked in the door. Hope we can visit again in the near future.

Rushing water and an A+ cabin!

My husband and I totally enjoyed our short stay. The "Guest House" was clean, nicely furnished, and has a kitchen with everything you could possible need. The bed was very comfortable. I hope we have the opportunity to stay here again. Patti Jones-Collins

Relaxing on Deck overlooking Creek

The house was well furnished and fully equipped for a most comfortable stay. The creek babbled, lending an air of serenity and peacefulness to the atmosphere. The town itself was easily reachable and had all the amenities one would need for a hassle-free replenishment of any essentials. Other than a few periods of rain we and the couple we were with found all the relaxation we needed. We had planned to do some fishing but never found an easily fishable spot. The weather in general was great. All in all we truly enjoyed ourselves and would consider returning to the house again, particularly during the fall leaf season. The Waynesville area was bucolic. Would love to know more about the Huge home we saw near the Palisades Apartments. Definite change from the hustle and bustle of urban life.

You won’t find any place better!

Excellent experience in every way. Really appreciated the “little things”. Top quality bed linens, kitchen appliances, funny coasters, quality cutlery, candies. Cleanliness is exceptional, setting is peaceful and quiet, we have stayed in vrbo places all over the mountains and this one is everything and more than its description.

Great relaxing place by the stream!

This is a relaxing place to stay, and the owner has taken much time to meet all the needs of visitors. The stream was wonderful! We sat on the porch and just watched and listened to it for hours. The house was clean and had all we needed. Thank you so much!

Awesome Rental in Waynesville, NC

This is an awesome rental, very clean, great communication with owner. My family, my dog, and I enjoyed staying here. Listening to the creek is very calming and soothing. Would definitely stay here again and hope to. Welcoming card and bottle if wine was a great touch. Hope to stay here again soon. Highly recommended. Would give more than 5 stars if I could. The Guest House was the perfect vacation rental for us. It was everything we hoped for. Convenient to everything. Met all of our expectations. Very private. Peaceful Retreat

Very nice relaxing cabin that is centrally located. The creek and back porch was amazing! The beds were soft (a little too soft for me, but comfortable). There is one bathroom that doesn’t have a renovated shower/tub. That’s the only thing I didn’t realize with online booking, but other bathroom has a nice shower. Thanks

Beautiful home

This is a beautiful home and very well maintained. All of the furnishings and linens and cooking supplies etc were excellent. My only comment is that the yard is really not as big as it appears in the picture, and it is fairly close to a busy road. From the picture we had the impression that we would have more privacy. However, if that is not at all a concern to you then the property is perfect. We had our dogs with us and found it a little tricky to have enough room for them to play fetch. The creek is very very close to the home and while that is a wonderful thing, there really isn't much yard between the house and the creek.

Anfitrión: Peg Ganger

We met when we were young and working at Xerox Corporation. We have enjoyed long careers in the corporate world and more recently running nonprofit organizations in Jacksonville, FL. Bruce was the CEO of the Feeding Northeast Florida food bank and Peg was Executive Director of Girls Inc. We raised three children together who have given us six beautiful grandchildren and we have been blessed to travel all over the world. We are now settled forever in North Carolina. Peg is a real estate broker specializing in working with buyers who want to own a mountain home. Bruce is the executive director of a feeding ministry.

We purchased three acres in Waynesville 22 years ago when we came to the mountains for a long weekend. We fell in love with the area and knew right then that this is where we wanted to settle some day. When we first saw the property and the amazing creek that runs through it, we could not resist making an offer. We have lived and traveled all over the United States and we have never found an area we love more. We built the Guest House eight years ago with a plan to build our permanent home next door when we turned 60.

With a sleeper sofa and additional half bath, the Guest House can sleep six and can easily accommodate a young family. Couples will find the Guest House perfect for a romantic getaway!
