Great time!

We had an amazing trip with 10 people ranging from 1 to 81 years old. Plenty of room for everyone, close to the beach, and the pool was a great feature. Great host too!

Family vacation

Our family enjoyed this beautiful house and setting. The grandsons especially enjoyed the pool. Sitting on the decks and reading was wonderful. The beach was close and we all enjoyed walking along it just before sunset.

We had a wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for our family. We loved the view from the balcony. The short walk to the beach was a plus as well. My sister‘s grandchildren loved the pool. We will definitely be looking to book in the future.

We’ll be back!

We loved this house! The family all said, “When we go back to OKI we must rent this house again.” It was perfect for us. It was clean, spacious, and a quick walk to the public beach access.

Great Week

Fantastic hosts, great communication with them. House had everything we needed. Loved the umbrellas for the patio around the pool. House is on the quiet end of the island, which we prefer.

Fantastic

This was a beautiful home!! The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked every meal for a week, even had meat thermometer!!! The family room was spacious and decorated nicely. We would love to stay at this perfect location again!!

Perfect Week

We absolutely loved our week on the west end of Oak Island. The home was absolutely perfect. Our family loved the pool, the comfort of the home, and the gorgeous views from all the windows. We cooked many meals there, and the kitchen had everything we needed. We would 100% recommend this house to others.

Wonderful property that doesn’t disappoint

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at New Sandcastle. House was very clean and well kept. Layout was amazing and home was well appointed. We loved every aspect of our stay and can not wait to return again very soon. Owners were very accommodating and easy to communicate with !!! Thanks again!!!

Perfect beach getaway!

It was our first trip back to the Carolina coast in the Covid era and it was perfect! Our family was looking forward to a stress-free week-long getaway and we certainly got that and more in our stay at the New Sand Castle property! It was extremely clean, featured great views of both the ocean and marsh, and has an amazing pool-centric backyard oasis. The owners are very courteous and responsive. We can’t wait to book again!

Hidden Treasure

This was our first time coming to Oak Island for vacation! We could not have picked a better place to stay. The house was immaculate and had wonderful accommodations and breath taking views. The private pool was awesome and the kitchen had everything we needed. The owners were very helpful and quick to respond when we had questions. We will definitely be coming back.

Wonderful week on Oak Island

We love Oak Island, and we loved this house. Well appointed kitchen, nice pool and beautiful views. House is spotlessly clean with lots of little touches that make it feel like a home away from home. Access to the beach is an easy walk along Beach Dr. Eddie responds to all questions very quickly. Gracious hosts!

Oak Island 2024

Great property and the host was very resposive and addressed all of our questions and minor issues quickly. Our family has been going to Oak Island for many years and we declared this property's pool and patio area the best! The guest bedrooms are a bit tight but the master suite is spacious and has access to both front and back decks. The views of the ocean from the top deck are great even though the property is 3 rows from the beach. Highly recommend this property!

Worth every penny!

This house was amazing. Very clean, and decor is beautiful. The views are terrific and the owners are very responsive. Kitchen is very well appointed and with high end appliances and large enough for more than one person to utilize at a time. The pool was wonderful perk for some rainy days we had and the outdoor shower is super convenient. My family and friends had a very memorable vacation. A definite gem on the island. It will not disappoint!

Wonderful!

Seaglass was a wonderful home on Oak Island. It was absolutely beautiful on the inside. The living room, dining room and kitchen were all open and allowed for a great family reunion for three generations coming from three different cities. The bedrooms and bathrooms were situated nicely. We had a view of the ocean from both deck levels. The pool was awesome too! It came in very handy on a less than stellar weather day and enabled us to stay close to home in case it rained.

A Must Stay!

My family and I enjoyed our trip so much we didn't want to leave. The home was so beautiful and exceeded all of our expectations. It was clean, spacious, and had great views of the ocean and marsh from both decks. The backyard oasis was where we spent most of our time hanging out. The pool was amazing! The neighborhood was very quiet and friendly with a short walk to the beach. The owners are super friendly and quick to respond to any concerns or questions. Definitely looking forward to a return visit. Book it!

Property is beautiful; however it does not come with Linens. This was not well informed in the property description. Also, after stay we were charged a significant part of our security deposit for cleaning and damage not caused by us. Be sure to take photos of property before stay to ensure your position on how the property was left. With these precautions and awareness you should have a nice stay!

Hi Britta- I would just like the opportunity to respond to your concerns in regards to your vacation at our property. It is clearly marked on the house description and contract you signed that linens are not included. We included links to local linen rental companies on the island to help facilitate renters acquiring linens for their vacation. The other issue in regards to cleaning and damages. The cleaning crew sent me photos, which I did forward to you of the condition of the house after you left. As I relayed these pictures to you and told you I was charged for additional cleaning fees and because you did not rent or bring your own linens, there were stains on the mattress covers and pillow protectors which needed to be replaced . Also, the closet upstairs does contain a vacuum and broom. Please know it is not common for us to hold back money from security deposits. This is only the second time in nine years we’ve had to do that. I hope this is well received.

Beautiful clean home perfect location!

We alway use VRBO to rent our summer beach homes and this is by far our best experience yet! This home is stunning, beautifully decorated, amazing pool, wonderful views and so close to the ocean. The house was so clean and stocked with all the necessities. We loved that it was at the end of the island it was so private and tranquil. We loved having breakfast with our children every morning on the porch with that amazing ocean view. We cooked at the house every night but one and having the grill was so nice and the house had all the cooking utensils we could have needed. The pool was by far our favorite aspect of the house it was the perfect size and plenty of chairs to lounge on. The owners of the home were so helpful in the planning process, and were so quick to respond. They were communicating from the day we checked into the home to ensure we had the perfect vacation, and that we did! I would highly recommend this beautiful home, you will never want to leave!

This home has it all, ocean views, marsh views, upgraded appliances, comfortable surroundings, beautiful pool and comfortable pool deck furniture. An easy walk to the beach, which is at the spacious end of Oak Island. Owners are a dream to work with. 5 Stars!

My family had a wonderful week at The New Sandcastle. The house was clean and equipped with everything we needed. We really enjoyed the pool and sitting on the decks both morning and evening. When I had a question the host got back to me immediately. It was an easy walk to the beach. I would highly recommend renting this beautiful beach house!

Quiet beautiful area for families. Beach wasn't crowded. We saw the most beautiful sunset from The Point which is within walking distance from the house. The house was perfect and the pool area was really nice. Easy communication with owners. Would stay at this house again
