Unique modern home that sits on the banks of Lake Pontchartrain that has a front porch that faces the lake and rear porch that faces the Marina and Southern Yacht Club. Open floor plan with two distinct living spaces. Quiet part of New Orleans with amazing sunrises and sunsets and Wednesday evening sailboat races. Only 20 minutes from New Orleans International Airport or the French Quarter. Access via a circular stairwell.

Couldn’t ask for more!

We enjoyed our stay from beginning to end. We wish we could have stayed longer. This was our first trip to NOLA and this place made us feel at home.

Quite place with great view.

The place was great and the communication with the owner was amazing. Very easy commute to downtown with nice restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Would definitely consider staying again.

Regatta weekend stay

A beautiful property extremely well laid out. So nice to sit on one deck and hear the masts of the boats in the marina and the other deck to watch the sailing regatta

Wonderful place and stay.

The home is exactly as it appears in the pictures with views of the marina and lake to the back and front of the house, respectively. We had a wonderful and quiet time while being close to the great food and music of the French Quarter. I enthusiastically recommend this place, especially to families.

Another great Boathouse stay…

We always stay at the Boathouse by the Lake. This property, its owners and support staff are excellent hosts and good humans! They take care of you. We visit with family, as a couple, and this last time with another family. Every penny spent here is worth it, from safety of location, to ease of access to the Quarter. Highly recommended and will always be our go to NOLA home away from home.

Wedding Weekend

We were in for my daughters wedding and what a wondereful place to stay. Relaxing &peaceful from all the hustle and bustle of New Orleans, but minutes from everything !!! We defininyrly will come again!!! Great place !!!!

Wonderful Lake Front Get Away!

The boat house is spacious and comfortable. Located in a convenient area of the NOLA Lake Front with exceptional views. The front porch is absolutely perfect for morning coffee and the back porch for afternoon cocktails. Accommodations are extremely comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. We will definitely stay here again for our next trip to the NOLA.

Boathouse Week

We had a great week staying at this adorable boathouse. The location was extremely convenient to Southern Yacht Club where our kids were doing sailing clinic as well as shops, restaurants and grocery stores in the Lakeview neighborhood. We would definitely stay at this property again and would recommend it to friends looking for a Lakefront getaway!

Great boathouse!

Worked great for a family of 6 adults! We had the best time just hanging out at the boathouse while getting to enjoy the harbor and lake views. Location was very convenient to the french quarter which was also a plus. James was very communicative in case we needed anything. Thanks again for an amazing stay!!

Great location, view, and host!

The boathouse is beautiful. Very close to all NOLA has to offer at a great rate compared to all hotels in the city. The owner was very quick to respond to communication and willing to help with any and everything. I highly recommend the rental and will definitely be checking availability for my next trip to NOLA!

Lakeside charm

My husband and I loved our week at the lake condo. It's a great central location and the views from the front deck are lovely: diving birds, groups of sailboats out for sailing lessons, larger sailboats and even some paragliding. The back deck was a fun snapshot of a busy marina and had very comfortable furniture. The interior was exactly as pictured and though we only used the master bed, I can see how a larger group could fit comfortably there.

Amazing Stay and Home!

Our stay was amazing and the hosts were responsive and very professional. First, the boathouse is exactly as advertised. Great space, plenty of room and right on the lake. The recent upgrades make the boathouse first class and very comfortable. Second, considering COVID19 and social distancing, this was. a perfect location. We normally stay in the Quarter, but decided to venture out to be safe with family. This was totally the right choice. It was a quick ride into downtown, grocer nearby and restaurants close the home. Finally, just being on the lake with our kids, in a great boathouse, with some fishing gear, food and quiet time was well worth every penny we spent. We highly recommend the property and the gracious hosts. We will definitely be returning!
