Beautiful 2 bedroom cabin located 1/2 mile from Caney Fork River/Betty's Island, which is known for the best trout fishing in the State of Tennessee. Center Hill Lake is located only a 15 minute drive away. Canoes and kayaks are available to rent for a great outing on the river. Cabin is fully furnished and sleeps 6 with all the necessities for a relaxing stay. This is very family friendly and is surrounded by all the beauty of Middle Tennessee. One hour from Nashville .

Memorial Day stay

Loved it and will stay again

We loved this little cabin. Plenty of room for our family if 5. Super clean close to the river for fishing. Check in was super easy. Absolutely recommend staying here

Cabin Review

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It is a great cabin and perfect for our family of 5. It was located close to Center Hill Lake and our boat dock. Loved the roomy "log cabin" feel. Very clean. Very pleased. We recommend this cabin! We will book again soon. Thank you!

Lovely property very near fishing!

We had a great stay in Buffalo Valley. The property manager and the owner were great communicating promptly with us when we needed to. Southern hospitality at its finest! House was comfortable and quiet. Highly recommend!

Excellent little cabin getaway

Group of women looking for a simple cabin style weekend getaway. Not a lot of activities nearby but just in town to Canoe the Caney so fit our search. Accurate description and excellent communication with property manager and owner. Would book again:

Clean, comfy and convenient

Very comfortable place-my sister and I used it as a base for accessing the many state parks with great hiking in the area. About an hour drive from Nashville, which is fabulous. Many thanks.

Kayak and Chill

Great location if you’re getting out with Canoe The Caney. About 15 mins from the CTC HQ so very convenient. We enjoyed the fire pit and grill. The bed/bathroom situation was a little weird (4 twins and a full, one shared bathroom) but we made it work.

Great place to get away for a bit!

We had a great stay. The property owner was engaged and super-helpful. We drove about 30 minutes to a park and went hiking one day. Another day drove about 20 minutes to do some biking on a short biking trail in Carthage. The place is out in the country and somewhat remote which is what we were looking for. Fishing, hiking, mountain biking all available nearby. Thanks for a great stay!

Peace and Quiet

2 retired military couples who were looking for a central location to canoe the Caney River. We thoroughly enjoyed the cabin. We canoed during the day, grilled in the afternoon and played dominoes and other games outdoors at the picnic table. The cabin was clean and a very comfortable place just to hang out. In the evening we watched the stars and satellites overhead. A real treasure is just down the road about 3.5 miles, the Middle TN Dragway. The night we went it was free for folks to drive whatever they wanted down the track. We saw dragster rails run against grocery getters; 4 wheelers, motorcycles, pick-ups, work trucks, hot rods, and some super bad and crazy fast cars. The cabin is central to the canoe livery Canoe The Caney and TN Kayak and Outdoor Company in Carthage. Take the scenic routes and backroads, it's enjoyable to slowdown and just take your time. We really enjoyed the cabin and in the evening, played board games at the dining table. We even took some pics with The Duke. All good memories.

Great Cabin

Perfect place and size for a guys trip. The bathroom situation could be a bit better, but the cabin was great otherwise. We also played plenty of 3v3 on the backyard basketball court! Wish we could’ve found a ball pump!

cozy and beautiful view

my family and I had a good time, the cabin has everything you need to be in the place. The number of beds was not clear because there was only a bed for 6 people, but that was not a problem, we fixed it. the owner very attentive and solved the problem with the internet. in conclusion a place to be quiet and enjoy the countryside
