Legnaia, whose name means woodshed, was converted from the original woodshed of Borgo la Chiusa, part of the ancient convent.

This typical Siena country home rental sits on the right corner of the property and is accessed from 2 welcoming terraces in front of the house.

The large arched glass door lead you right into the large open living area, with lounge, fireplace and fully equipped kitchen.

The back of the house hosts a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with its own bathroom.

The two other double bedrooms, one bathroom with shower and a laundry room sit in the semi basement below the living area.

The front terraces are partially covered and equipped with tables, chairs, loungers, BBQ and sun umbrellas.

Borgo la Chiusa was part of an ancient convent just outside the walls of Siena, offering guests wonderful views, peaceful environment and one independent villa and two deliciously restored to detached houses with Siena terracotta floors, stone walls, beamed ceilings and very beautiful finishing touches.

The outside of each house offers a well kept garden, a lovely patio with table, chairs and BBQ for outside eating and relaxing.

Borgo la Chiusa Siena luxury country homes are the ideal bases for taking both short and long breaks. Their key position, only 5 minutes drive from Siena, allow guests to enjoy all the fascinating city has to offer without giving up on peace and privacy only a country home can guarantee.

This property was absolutely beautiful in the rolling hillsides just outside Siena. The property manager was very friendly and made our stay delightful. It was the perfect spot for day trips to Florence, Lucca, Cinque Terra, Montalcino and Monteplulciano.We would love to visit this property again.

We have stayed in many vrbos. This is so far the best we've ever known.. The views are incredible. The hospitality was wonderful and the accommodations are perfect. I do a lot of swimming and I have never been in a pool as pristine. I would highly have a recommend this Vrbo.

Absolutely stunning Villa , did not drive out there , host took us to the supper market which was great , pool was spacious and clean plenty of sun beds , grounds were lovely well looked after, inside Villa was spacious plenty of room for everyone fantastic would return again , would recommend the stay .

This place was on an amazing, manicured property that includes a pool and lots of outdoor space. There is also a lot of room inside and we made sure to put the kitchen to good use. The central location allowed us to do a lot of day trips to some amazing towns (Florence, Siena, Montalcino, and Monteriggioni). All within an hour drive. We also took advantage of the hot weather and pool with a few days of relaxation. I would highly recommend this place for couples or families.

We absolutely loved our stay here in Tuscany. From the moment we arrived, we were completely charmed by this beautiful property. It has so much character and warmth, and you can tell how much love and care has gone into every little detail.Everything was extremely clean, both inside and outside, and the grounds were simply beautiful. The plants, flowers, greenery and little details throughout the property made it feel so peaceful and special. It was the kind of place where you actually want to slow down, sit outside, take it all in, and enjoy where you are.The home itself was comfortable, charming and had everything we needed for our stay. It really felt like we were experiencing a little piece of Tuscany rather than just staying somewhere.Francesca was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind, welcoming and helpful, and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She was always available when we had a question and made us feel genuinely welcome from the beginning.This was such a memorable part of our time in Tuscany, and we are so happy we chose to stay here. We would absolutely recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a peaceful, charming and authentic Tuscan experience. We honestly didn't want to leave!

Everything was perfect. Francesca was the perfect host and went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Once when we thought we had lost our key she was at the property immediately to open the door. The weather was a little cold for the pool but we certainly enjoyed the view. Would recommend staying there to anyone looking to be away from the hustle and bustle!!!

We had a great stay here. The house was bigger than we thought and the outdoor area was wonderful for dinners. We all loved the pool area. Overall location is so convenient for Siena and exploring the countryside. Simone and Francesca were incredibly helpful with recommendations. Would stay here again!

We loved our stay at this property. Francesca was lovely to work with and the property is exactly as pictured. We were very close to Siena and the expressways. Ideal location for touring the Tuscan area. We highly recommend it!

We loved the property and location. It was well equipped with really useful extras that made staying with children so much easier. The pool is lovely and the outside space is stunning. Couldn't have asked for more!

My cousins & I recently spent a week at this villa. This was our first time in Italy, so I booked it solely based on all the previous reviews, and it did not disappoint! The grounds are beautifully maintained, the pool is gorgeous, and the accommodation was perfect for the four of us. We each had our own room and two of us shared one of the three bathrooms. There are three villas on this property, and everyone shares the pool. A car is necessary if you are staying here since it is about three miles outside of Siena. We used Siena Taxi and found it reliable transportation. It was reasonably priced from Siena to the villa, but a little pricey when you call for one to pick you up. I enjoyed morning walks in the area surrounding the villa, which was scenic, safe, and peaceful. Simone was helpful and provided us with the location of the nearest markets and recommendations for restaurants. Francesca went above and beyond for us when our train had issues and delayed our arrival. Not many owners would do what she did, and we genuinely appreciated it. We had chef Vanna cook dinner for us one evening. It was delicious and we enjoyed it immensely. We loved staying at this property and hope to come back some day. We felt fortunate that we found a place to stay that met up to our expectations and owners who take real pride in their property. Thank you, Francesca, for a wonderful week.

A GEM!

This property is exactly as pictured. Exceptionally clean. The hosts, Simone and Francesca were very helpful offering information about restaurants and grocery stores in the area. Also, we had several questions before arriving and they were answered very quickly. The pool was a wonderful treat after a day of site seeing. Our family had a fabulous time.

Tuscan Dream

What can I say. I love, love, loved the property and Francesca was the perfect host. Make sure you book her for a evening dinner. Located in magnificent county side. It is like having your own country villa with Siena minutes away.

Immaculate property

Friendly welcome. Everywhere is immaculate inside and out. Well equipped and very comfortable. Good sized pool area with loungers and parasols all in good condition. In front of villa was a bbq, a large very comfortable seating area with large parasol and a separate dining area. There was also an inner courtyard with pizza oven. The villa is in easy reach of Siena and good for a week’s stay. The owners clearly care so much and want their guests to be comfortable. A car is needed.

Magical property in the heart of Tuscany

Our group of four – me, a friend and my two teenage sons – had a wonderful stay at this magical property. The pictures honestly don’t do justice to the sweeping views and the pristine condition of this four-bedroom villa in a multi-home compound. Yes, I said four bedrooms, which are pictured here even though the listing only says there are three. That was a nice surprise so my children didn’t have to share. It’s also a great spot in central Tuscany to tour much of the region. We also so very much appreciated the owner accommodating us when we had two things go wrong – first, I landed in the hospital when we scheduled our original trip so we had to postpone at the last minute. And then travel mishaps when we finally made it had us arriving many hours later than we anticipated, after 10p. So all to say, wonderful host and a special spot I never wanted to leave.

Fantastic great value location and property

This property was perfect, it actually has more beds than we expected so you could bring a bigger family. It's two floors with a downstairs basement that stays cool. The outside area by the apartment is lovely, three different private areas for eating, lounging and sitting, with good shade and sun depending what you want. The pool is perfect, really nice quality with almost infinity pool vibe where the water is perfectly level. There are a couple of neighbour villas which gave a bit of atmosphere but people generally kept to themselves so it still felt private. The pool temperature was perfect, cool yet comfortable. We spent nearly half the holiday relaxing and reading by the pool while the kids played for hours. The hosts were pleasant and helpful. Everything about the property was great, and near Siena. We travelled all over tuscany, from pisa to florence to pienza, so a great central base if you want to explore the region. The only downside was, other than siena, quite limited on nearby places to explore, you couldn't really walk anywhere worth visiting, but there is a decent supermarket 5min drive away and a couple of quality restaurants nearby.

We enjoyed the property. We had a group stay at the adjacent unit who were friendly. The A/C was excellent, and the kitchen and outdoor furniture were very nice. The pool was lovely.
