We had a wonderful weekend at The Gathering Place with a group of eight adults, a toddler, and dog. The house lives up to its name — there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep comfortably, and the common areas gave us space to gather, play games, and actually be together rather than splitting off into corners.The location was great, and the yard was a real highlight. Having somewhere for the toddler and the dog to run made all the difference.If you're looking for a place for a larger group, this one works. We'd happily come back.

We had an absolutely wonderful long weekend at this home! We had a group of about 24 people, and everyone fit very comfortably. The house was spacious, clean, and perfect for a large group. The kitchen was also extremely well stocked with plenty of plates, cups, pots, pans, utensils, and everything we needed to prepare meals for everyone.The location was fantastic! We were less than a mile from both the lake and town, which made it so convenient to enjoy everything the area had to offer.We did have the barbecue grill run out of propane shortly after we arrived, but this was handled so easily. Angela was very responsive and easy to get ahold of, and she was happy to reimburse us for the propane refill. We really appreciated how quickly and kindly she took care of it.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely stay here again! The only thing I would mention for future guests is that beach towels are not provided, so be sure to bring your own if you're planning to spend time at the lake.

The house was very warm and made sleeping uncomfortable. There is no AC in the basement and even though windows were opened and we purchased fans, it never cooled down. The upstairs was also warm. The main floor was cool, but the majority of the sleeping space was uncomfortable. The owner was slow to respond to my questions. The layout of the house was good along with the location, but sleeping was very uncomfortable.

The property itself is pretty good and in a great location. Had some troubles with certain amenities not matching what is in the listing. Ie: the downstairs has no ventilation, so only the main and upstairs levels have a/c. There were no beach towels, even though those were listed. Bring your own bath soap/shampoo, those are not provided. The host had provided multiple numbers to text, so communication was pretty confusing. Response time wasn’t ideal, but was same day. Overall, good place for the price, but I would’ve given a higher rating if things were well stocked/replenished, and if communication was better.

Thank you for your stay and feedback. Throughout a summer, items tend to disappear from the house. We had fans and beach towels, but apparently guests thought they needed to take them home with them. Great stay for family and friend get together

This home was perfect for our large end of summer family and friends get together. Plenty of room for us to be together when desired and to branch off into other areas in the home for smaller groups. We would definitely stay here again for our annual trip next year.

The beach was great at the time of year we were there 6-9 July 2026. Walking distance to the beach and the beach was not crowded. It was nice sand and mud, perfect for making castles on the beach. Hosts answered questions either by text or on the phone. One of the owners was out of the country part of the time and it took several weeks before they answered my text and voice message. Once I received the best ph. # to use they were great in responding.One thing we were not happy about was no bath soap or shampoo/conditioner was provided. We had to go to the nearest grocery store to purchase those items. Downstairs was warm and there was no air conditioning that we could tell. There was air conditioning on the main floor and upstairs. It would have been nice to have fans in the rooms. They did say we could open windows at night to cool it down.Over all it was a very nice 3 night stay and we would do it again.

During the winter months we enjoy snowmobiling and skiing the deep snow that surrounds Garden city. We love Bear Lake so much we decided to purchase a home there ourselves that our family, friends and your families could enjoy.
