Owl Trail CABIN at Turtle LAKE Year 'round

Year 'round secluded, fully furnished cabin with 1 bedroom, 1 enclosed porch, 1 bath, fully equipped kitchen situated in the woods on 2.5 acres, not on the lake. The bedroom upstairs has a queen bed. The enclosed front porch has a futon double couch. The living room has a leather couch.. sleeps 5. The owners blue dock is a 2 minute walk from the cabin. Our lake easement is 30 foot wide and there is a private cabin and private bunkhouse on either side of owl trail cabin lake access. There are 2 marked parking spots for owl trail cabin at the access. Owl trail cabin is located 12 miles north of Browerville, 12 miles south of Staples, 12 miles east of Clarissa and 12 miles west of Lincoln Lakes area. Lake Alexander, Fish Trap Lake, Shamineau Lake and Pine Ridge golf course are within 15 minutes. Brainerd is 35 miles to the northeast.

Summertime fun: boating, fishing, swimming and golf.

Wintertime fun: Ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowmobile trails and hunting close by. Ski Gull is located 25 miles away.

Weather can be snowy and icy and wet and muddy in the springtime. Be prepared with mud or snow boots.

Additional charges per day:.
$25.00 per extra person over 4 people. $20.00 per dog, 30.00 for 2 dogs.

Bed linens included for queen bed upstairs and for futon on front porch.. Leather couch has 1 recliners. Extra blankets and pillows as needed. Shut off lights and turn heat or air conditioner down. No need to make the beds you sleep in.

NO WiFi or satellite tv service. Bring your favorite movies as there is a DVD blue ray player and we also provide movies at the cabin.

Pelican pedal boat and canoe with outrigger and a Kennedy pedal boat are available for your use. Seasonal

Public landing is across the lake where you can launch and land your boat and then tie up to owners dock. The owl trail dock has a ladder and the lake drops off to 20 feet about 10 feet from the dock. Swimming and Fishing is good. Bring your boats and water toys or snowmobiles, skis and fish houses for your get away at owl trail cabin!

It was great for our one night stay. The space and beds were comfortable. We arrived later than planned, after dark, but the directions they gave helped us locate the cabin.

It was nice and quiet. We enjoyed the pedal boat. The "clean" smell was pretty strong when we arrived but it disappated quickly. It was a great place to disconnect from day to day pressure.

Had a great stay with my two pups. Cabin is not direct on the lake but a very short walk to the dock. The dock lacks a bit of privacy as another cabin is located next to it but that cabin was empty for our visit and was not an issue. Valerie the host was very responsive on arrival and anytime needed. Lake is on smaller side, very clean and peacefull, location is very remote and great way to disconnect from the city hustle. We took the paddleboard with the pups and had some great fishing , plenty of large mouth bass and northern. At the end of the day would settle down and bbq our catch, some music , and a couple beers. Feeling good and refreshed and was a great escape for a few days !

Nice quiet cabin

Very clean cabin as described. Host was very responsive and friendly. The living rm area was larger then I thought with plenty of rm to play games and 2 tables. The lake area was quiet and kids enjoyed taking out the pedalboat to check out some loons. Fun weekend stay.

Perfect Little Getaway

Nice Property. Worked well for us. Close to wedding venue. Quiet and Peacful. The paddle boat came in handy to retrieve my RC float plane that didn't land as expected.

Cabin Getaway

The cabin was cute! Nice to be by a lake, short walk. I will say there are other cabins and houses around you. We were provided a paddle boat and canoe. This made the over all experience fun.

Lovely cottage

This place is so cute. Perfectly quiet and just a short walk to the peaceful lake. My sister and I sipped wine while on the paddle boat.

Perfect Family Mini-ca

The pictures don’t do the full outdoor property area justice. The yard is very well maintained and usable - bring your Cornhole, ball and glove or frisbee! The trees are mature and peace provoking. Sit on the porch and watch the sunrise with your coffee (bring your own but machine) and take in nature’s beauty. Used the paddle boats for a parent + kid who's gonna get back across the lake from the beach to dock contest. Bring a bag of microwave popcorn and have fun selecting nostalgic DVD favorites when you’re winding down for bedtime. Bring some bottled water if ‘up north’ water or don’t and reminisce on childhood memories and cabin stories. Cozy, comfortable and charming. Drive to the cabin readies you for your deep breath of ‘we’re here it’s time to relax’ getting out of the car mojo…and seals memories in when you head back out. Loved it.

Such a peaceful and beautiful property

We had such an amazing stay! Valerie was absolutely incredible, she was great with communicating and accommodated us wanting to get there earlier than check in. The place was so cozy and clean and well stocked with everything you need. The cabin is so secluded you feel like you're in your own world. The lake was down a little trail but so close. The lake was so clean you can see so far down and there's fish everywhere right off the dock there's a nice sandy beach area right next to the boat access. We will definitelybe going up there again!

Owners frequently go past property

One of the things about Vrbo is that the host is not there. There were many times, drove past the property throughout our stay. There was also misunderstanding in regards to fees,in which were resolved after talking back and fourth for two days which was extremely frustrating.

Cabin Sweet Cabin

We enjoyed relaxing at this cozy little cottage in the woods. The cabin was very clean and the bathroom renovation was spectacular. The grounds were well kept with some pretty perennial flowers around the cabin. We enjoyed the small deck with a picnic table for outdoor dining and a fire pit for making s’mores.

We loved it!

My dog and I very much enjoyed our stay. The place was neat, clean, and held many thoughtful extras. The lake and surrounding woods were just gorgeous. The hosts went above & beyond to ensure I was comfortable.. for example, on noticing my firewood was damp they brought over a special fire-starter log to help me get a flame going. Finally, I so appreciated the dog-friendliness. Aside from just welcoming pets, they had tennis balls, a tie-up, bowls, and waste bags at the cabin. I could not be more pleased with our experience here. We will definitely be back!

I lived in the cabin for 2 years after retiring here to Minnesota. Got married and we live nearby. We decided to vacation rental the property instead of selling it. Its a small neighborhood at Turtle Lake.

Owl trail cabin is tucked away on 2.5 acres at Turtle Lake. It is a smaller spring fed lake with good fishing. The Lincoln Lakes area is located within 15 minutes east of my cabin where there is Muskie fishing. Golfing is close by too!
