Great location within walking distance to downtown Salida and several parks. We had eleven (5 kids & 6 adults). There was plenty of room for all. The outside deck was a great gathering place and we cooked on the grill several nights. All in all a great place to stay for a big family gathering.

We enjoyed our stay in Salida. The house is very near to the town center with many good restaurants, the river, shops, and parks. The grocery stores are within half a mile. The house easily fit our crew of 8 people. The home is very cozy. It felt more like I was staying at a relative's house than a generic VRBO. We spent 4 days hiking in the beautiful mountains around Salida, and it was amazing!

This house was super comfortable for our two families of 4 adults and 4 teens. It was quiet and had plenty of places to spread out. Having 3 bathrooms was fantastic! Great water pressure and comfortable beds. The natural gas grill was such a nice bonus. Close enough to walk to the grocery store and shops. Will definitely stay here again!!

This property was perfect for a guys' mountain biking trip. Plenty of beds and baths, lots of places for us all to hang out, and a big garage for all our bikes. Great location, close to town.The house exceeded all my expectations.

Great Stay

Our big family group (11 people) loved our stay at this house and in Salida. The house had plenty of room for everyone to spread out and sleep comfortably. The kids loved the toys and books and overall had a blast. And the location cannot be beat. Overall, an A+ stay!!

Great property, great location.

Stayed here twice now and will stay again. Great house, tons of room, and a great garage for bikes. Great host and fast communications (not that we needed to communicate a lot because everything went smoothly).

Awesome house and location

My girlfriends and I (9 of us) spent a long weekend to celebrate birthdays in Salida. The home was lovely and the beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. Tom is an awesome host!!

Great stay

This house has a great location and is close all the awesome things Salida has to offer. The house also seems to be magic as it’s much larger on the inside than it looks when you drive up. It was also well stocked with so many small things you tend to forget like ziplock bags, pens/markers, miscellaneous kitchen items and bathroom items. Very happy with our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at The House in the Mesa! LOTS of space to spread out, great location, and the kitchen comes completely stocked with anything and everything that you may need. And Tom, the host, was very communicative as needed. Thanks for helping to ensure another wonderful trip to Monarch/Salida!

Location is within walkable distance to downtown. Property clean and tidy. Quiet neighborhood. We had high temperatures in 90’s while there could have used little bit of AC but basement was nice and cool retreat. Would stay again !

Hi Joseph, and thanks for the review. On hot summer days, we suggest closing windows and window coverings in the morning and open again after sunset. This helps keep the house comfortable. We do have a second house in downtown Salida (sleeps 7) that has central A/C. Thanks again for staying with us!

Comfortable, spacious home

My family of 8 enjoyed our stay in the Mesa area of Salida. It's away from town (quiet), but easily walkable to Safeway and the shops/restaurants on Main St and the riverwalk. The home had plenty of room for our family, and the beds were very comfy. Basic amenities were all there; the small back patio is nice, as is the fenced back yard. Excellent communication from the owners.

Ski 2023

No problem renting the property we needed something for up to 9 adults and 1 21/2 yr old. Close to downtown. Plenty of space and beds. Quiet neighborhood.

Mesa Location

This is a clean and lovely place to stay. It is in a quiet area that is close to downtown and the golf course. Great place to be if you want to walk or ride bikes. We especially liked the garage where we could safely store our bikes, chairs etc. Two bathrooms are upstairs and one is downstairs. Some rentals are not very clean but this one top notch. Thanks.
