in the woods of the mountains of South Carolina close to hiking, waterfalls, fishing, Table Rock State Park, Jones Gap State Park, Caesars Head State Park, Greenville, Ashville, Brevard.
Hang out at the cabin and enjoy the woods and the songbirds, or visit the local attractions and enjoy the beauty of this area.

Pet Friendly, please do not leave your pets unattended in the cabin unless you have them crate trained and have their crates with you. Pets must be on leash outside! (We wouldn’t want them to get lost in the woods)
The cabin is not a kennel, it's a tiny cabin home.
If you intend to bring your fur baby with you, please be sure to pay the pet fee for your stay. The pet fee is per pet. If you have more than one pet, be sure to let me know so I can add the additional fee on.

Weekend get away

Very nice, had everything we needed. Secluded. Very good deal. Hiked at nearby Table Rock, then dinner in Pickens. We were tired after our hike, ate a late lunch at the cabin. All the nearby local restaurants close early at 5 or 4 on Saturday. Good time to hang out together.

The cabin was located within close proximity of things we were wanting to see and experience. The layout of the cabin was perfect and decorated nicely. The outside of the cabin did not look like the pictures listed. The pictures listed may have been when the cabin was new. That itself was not an issue as cabins age over time. The only concern was the yard was not kept cleared and concerns of getting from parking space to cabin was grown up and not cleared. Overall the cabin was nice and cozy for our 2 day stay.

Cozy, Quiet Cabin

My family and I LOVED this little cabin nestled back in the woods! Property owners were great in communicating with us and making sure we had everything we needed. I enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the rain, and the cozy campfire was perfect at night. We will definitely visit again!

Perfect getaway cabin

My partner & I stayed along with my dog for a nights getaway. Cabin was perfect, had everything we needed. I absolutely love lake Jocassee & it’s setting in the mountains, it’s about a 25min drive from the cabin & a super convenient location amongst several local state parks in the area. Host, Karen, was on point with communication & very hospitable. We couldn’t have asked for more, we hope to return.

Great location

Only a short distance off the paved road so my car had no difficulty accessing. There is a nice country restaurant about a mile away that had a general store, craft vendors and ice cream shop. Gaines lodge only took for a few minutes to get to the wedding we were attending. Thanks, Kim

Cute cabin

We enjoyed our stay at a cabin in the woods. We liked the seclusion and how quiet it was. Very close to Table Rock! Not having a door on the bathroom was funny... we didn’t care but I could see how some people would.

Everything was great except bed

loved the cabin, enjoyed the surround sound movies in while it rained and peaceful woods. did several great hikes and enjoyed the winery. then we went to bed.. THE BED was the kind where you move an inch and get all sort of squeaks and creeks. Caves in the middle Only thing keeping me from using again is THE BED

Truly a Cabin in the Woods!

For what we needed, this cabin was simple and perfect--a comfortable place to come home to after a day of exploring. Though a divided one room, it had everything we needed from kitchen amenities, a place to lounge and watch tv, and sleeping area. As experienced campers, we were prepared for meals. You'll want to plan ahead since the road to get to the cabin is a bit rough (and DON'T miss the turn or you'll truly go 4-wheelin'). Communication with owners was great and they were so helpful! Would suggest an updated picture of the cabin since trees have grown since the original was taken.

Very run down and under maintenanced nothing like the pictures on site,leaking roof,windows unable to lock shut, nothing marked to find the cabin, ceiling very dirty with spiderwebs and other debris,bed uncomfortable,couch bed very unsanitary, filthy,floors dirty,nowhere to put your clothes or food refrigerator to small not worth the money

Excellent location for our planned activities and quaint little cabin. Easy check in and out and Karen our host very hospitable and friendly when we unintentionally forget to list our pet would be joining us. The only downside to our stay was the condition of the mattress…needs replacing for a better nights sleep.

Nice little cabin peaceful and quiet did not like there was no door on bathroom and mattress needs to be replaced. Kitchen has everything you need to cook meals

My boyfriend introduced me to this area, it was not my first time here but I saw it through new eyes when I first visited his vacation rental with a friend and was introduced to him. He was my inspiration to find stay in this little paradise, to see the beauty every day and not to be held in the bustle of the city. #citygirlgonecountry! We built this guest cabin and my cabin home in these woods (with my boyfriend and a friend who is a builder) as a place to be in nature for myself and as a lovely place to share with vacation guests coming to this area.

I looked at many properties before deciding on this particular one. Nothing else offered the kind of location that this property does. It's fantastic and was the best buy of my life.

This hand crafted cabins, built by myself, my boyfriend and a builder friend are unique and cozy. I tried to think of how things would work so people could move about the cabin comfortably and would have anything they needed to cook with and relax.
The small porch is where you will spend relaxing time watching the birds and listening to all things in nature surrounding. You can hear the world beyond every once in a while and that makes this cozy place all the more special.
