Linens and towels are provided.
This cottage is located in the Marshes Light Community and Manteo Historic District. It is located within walking distance to wonderful restaurants, galleries, boutiques and water sports and sailing adventures.
Private entrance and street parking.
It is also located along the OBX Marathon Route. (2 guest Maximum) enforced

Manteo Birding Trip

My wife and I had a similar photography trip to Manteo last fall, but wanted to stay somewhere outside of the dense timeshares and multi family settings, which drove my initial search in the area. Found this great standalone cottage that was perfectly set up for our stay and in a great location. The owner communication was great and for the first time in over a dozen VRBO rental experiences, we were actually greeted by the owner. Tod was very welcoming and the property was everything it was advertised to be. Made a perfect ‘Home Base’ for trips to Alligator River NWR, Pea Island and Lake Mattamuskeet. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful area

Check in was simple. Tod and Ruby were great hosts. The area is absolutely beautiful, a walk away from downtown, the waterfront, and quiet from the rest of OBX. Thank you Tod for your hospitality.

Location, location, location

We couldn't have envisioned a better location for our stay in Manteo. This rental property was spotless, comfortable and convenient to the historic district and waterfront. The owner was friendly and responsive. We will definitely stay again!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

Highly recommend this lovely “home away from home”! Can’t wait until our next visit to Manteo. So close to Historic Downtown. Just a short walk along the bridge path on the water. Thank you Tod for a GREAT STAY!

Perfect Girls Getaway

My sister and I found this property to be the perfect spot for a nice getaway at the Outer Banks. The house was extremely clean and the communication with Tod was very clear and helpful. We enjoyed walking around the historic neighborhood and found the location to be very close to everything we wanted to do.

Quaint Cottage

The cottage was charming, the check-in process a breeze and the location was perfect. We were in walking distance of the Manteo social district. I would highly recommend for a cozy and quiet stay.

Good time in Manteo, NC

Tod’s place was great and conveniently located in downtown Manteo. It was nice to be able to walk to shops and dining locations in town. The boardwalk along the water front is also close to the home. Highly recommend.

Perfect Getaway

Tod’s cottage was perfect for our anniversary getaway. Spotless, comfortable and stocked with everything you need for a relaxing time. Walking distance to wonderful restaurants and shoppes. Definitely would go back again!

Great property close to everything!

We lived our stay in the cottage. Tod was fantastic and easy to reach. He accommodated our last minute booking and made staying there super simple. The cottage is immaculately clean, perfectly sized for a couple and walking distance to town. We hope to come back to visit again soon.

Great spot in Manteo

Great location in Manteo. The over-garage apartment is very well done and has everything you need for a stay. It’s nice that there are three separate rooms…bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/tv room. We have already booked our next visit here.

We enjoyed the property. Cable connection was inconsistent. Didn't rate 5 due to an uncomfortable sofa. Although we were out and about most of the time. Location was great! Todd was very friendly. We would return.

Property and area were nice. We had an issue with the air conditioner the 2nd day we were there. I called and text the owner around 4, he got back to me within a half hour. He did get someone to fix it but not until 9. Other then that the stay was fine

Super Cute

Super cute little cottage in Manteo! This was our first time not staying oceanfront but this little town didn’t disappoint. We still spent most of our time at the beach and found the closest public beach access to be about 15 minutes away which isn’t terrible. It was within close proximity to nags head as well so we didn’t have to drive far for eating out/shopping. My only complaint is that there’s no TV in the bedroom and the TV in the living room only picked up a few channels, and the pillows were a little uncomfy. Otherwise was an excellent stay in a super cute location and would definitely recommend/stay here again!

I Said We Would Be Back

I said last year that we would be back...and the second time was a charm! We adore this carriage house and the fact that it is in a beautiful subdivision in Manteo within walking distance of Downtown Manteo is icing on the cake!

One of the best places to book for vacation

Host was friendly and check in was welcoming . The studio apartment was perfect for a couples getaway and the location was in walking distance of the town and short driving distance to beaches and Restaurants . Will book again next vacation.

Excellent Cottage / Excellent Location

We made a last minute change in vacation plans and found this cute gem of a cottage! Our stay was for a week and we absolutely loved the cottage... clean, comfortable and well supplied in every way, with easy parking out front. The downtown historic harbor of Manteo with restaurants and shops is just a few minutes walk. Tod was a wonderful host and very responsive to questions! Highly recommend! We hope to come back!
