This wonderful Lower Garden District home is everything you are looking for and MORE.
A former brothel (in the late 1800s), this remodeled residence features 3 separate quarters, each with their own private living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. The perfect spot to spread out and come together at the same time. A large private courtyard is the perfect spot to relax and unwind before or after you take on all the city has to offer!
Nestled in the heart of New Orleans, this home is directly on the famous St. Charles avenue street car line, (the oldest continuously maintained street car line in the world), which can take you uptown, past the historic homes of the garden district, to Audubon Park and Audubon Zoo, Tulane and Loyola Universities, and through the Carrollton neighborhood, or Downtown through the Central Business District, and to Canal Street - the beginning of the French Quarter! Within steps of the home are the Contemporary Art Center, Ogden Southern Art, Civil War, and WWII museums. Great stay with attentive host

Stayed at this wonderful property before and will likely book again the next time I’m in NOLA. I absolutely love the location and uniqueness of these accommodations. Everyone was comfortable and Matt was very responsive with any issues or questions we had.

Best VRBO everrrrrr!!

Omg! What an awesome experience! Matt is truly a wonderful host!! He’s personable, attentive, and accessible! The house was a great place to stay. Very comfortable and many added small touches that made us feel welcome!! Definitely will be trying to stay here again on my next trip!!

Awesome Stay

Nice location and great restaurant. Only a few minor items needs to be addressed . Needs a large mirror in the 2 house. Upstairs door to the bathroom needs to be fixed, lamp in the hall has a shortage . Overall Matt was a great host had everything well stocked! Thanks for you quick responses Have a great summer!!!!!

Matt was a great host and very responsive. Great place for a larger group also safe and secure for those who may be wondering. Walking distance to some great restaurants too. Thanks Matt for being such a great host and next time we are all in New Orleans again we will aim to stay there for sure. Great private patio area too!

PERFECT

We rented this for Mardi Gras and I tell you it could not have been more perfect. Matt was amazing ! Quickly responded to all questions, helped in every way he could by securing us spots in his parking lot which is adjacent to the property, getting us an early check in, late check out & surprise goodies in the fridge. The property itself is impressive. PERFECT set up for small groups. 3 separate units that all meet in the most beautiful courtyard. Extra bedding, towels, anything you could need. Beds & bedding were SO comfortable. Everything is very secure, I never had a second thought about being safe. Wish I could rate higher - thank you Matt! I am so upset it is booked next year because I don't think I could do Mardi Gras any other way now that I have been spoiled by you & your amazing gem!

The perfect stay for your group!

This was the best VRBO experience I've had while traveling! Matt was an absolute superhost in every way. The house was clean, in a great location and so sweet for having 9 people. There were plenty of blankets/pillows and blow up mattresses for the group. The highlight of the house is the beautiful outdoor patio that was used over the entire weekend. Stay here!

Perfect girl’s getaway

The manager Matt was fabulous and helped with any issue that came up. He stocked us with water, beverages and snacks. The apartments were so fun for the four of us and super room air conditioning and very comfortable beds. We loved the courtyard and used it for coffee every morning and to wind down our evening. It is on the lower end of St Charles Ave and perfect for lots of walking. The neighborhood is a mix… but we never felt unsafe. I highly recommend this property for friends traveling together.

Perfect location for a mid sized group

The place was great and served all our needs. The location is walking distance to most places we wanted to go and is near plenty of food options. The outdoor part of this place was great for a chill night. We got really lucky with the weather and were able to take advantage of this perk. Matt was a great host who hooked us up in the fridge with some food and drinks. He also had everything from toiletries to blow up mattresses. He answered quickly any time I needed to get in touch with him. 5/5 stars on the whole experience.

Love this place!

This house was awesome! Matt was so helpful and kind, the location was perfect and there was plenty of room for a large group! Even with 13 people, it is so well laid out, it never felt crowded! We will definitely stay here again when we return to NOLA!!

Quirky fun, close to quarter, fabulous host

Excellent!!!

We had a group of 12 down and stayed at Matt’s place. The house was everything as described and even better. Plenty of room for everyone to sleep and spread out. The outdoor patio was fantastic to enjoy the great weather. Awesome location right on the St. Charles streetcar line which runs right to Bourbon and Canal. Matt was by far the best host I’ve ever had, super friendly, responded to texts promptly, he even let us stay longer after checkout since our flight wasn’t until the evening. I highly recommend staying here. Whenever I go back to New Orleans with a group, this is where we will stay. A++++

Perfect Mardi Gras!

We loved our stay in Matt's lovely home. The location was perfect for Mardi Gras! From the snacks, king cakes and beverages to the frequent check ins from Matt we were well taken care of. The building and adjacent parking lot allowed for us to have our own private viewing area of every parade. We walked out at 7:55 am to watch the 8:00 am parades, no scouting out places in the wee hours of the morning. We were able to walk to the Lundi Gras Festival and Riverwalk shops. Overall, we will definitely request this place again when we come back to NO!

Amazon house for a bachelorette party

This was the perfect house for our group of 9. It’s a short Uber to all of the main tourist attractions and Matt is so responsive to questions. There were plenty of rooms and nice air mattresses for everyone to sleep on. Would definitely stay again!

Great for a bachelor party.

What a great time. 8 gentlemen arrived to enjoy a bachelor party, and we did. 1 mile from Bourbon was the perfect distance to party, but still make it home. Really enjoyed the courtyard. The cold drinks waiting in the fridge were a great touch. The only detractor was that I thought there were more beds. What a great time! Everyone said it was terrific.

Great for large groups

There was plenty of space for our bachelorette party to spread out for sleeping and getting ready, but when we wanted to hang out together the courtyard was where we ended up. When one of the refrigerators threw the GFI switch in the kitchen, Matt was quick to respond and got it working again in no time. Be aware that it is an old house so you will be dealing with some of the characteristics that come with that (bathroom doors not shutting all the way, window unit ac, creaky floors, etc.). This was all part of the charm in our opinion and didn’t bother us at all, but it’s definately not like staying in a hotel. Being next to the streetcar also made it affordable to get our whole group around to different parts of the city, which was another perk.

An excellent home base for our group

My group couldn't have been happier with this VRBO. The private patio was a fun place to hang out. It has reasonable shade for the day and good lighting for nights. The three separate apartments were excellent. Just guessing, but all 3 seemed about the same size. It was nice to have separate areas in case someone needed a nap or just some general privacy. We used the downstairs apartment as our main hangout area as it had the biggest living room area and it was plenty of room for our group of 11 to chill. The apartments were all clean and well stocked and Matt was very prompt and helpful while also giving us our privacy. I would highly recommend this place!

Very clean, equipped, and very inviting.

My guest and I enjoyed our stay at Matt's rental home. This two story spacious home was divided into three separate private quarters. This arrangement worked out perfect for my group of eleven. The beds were very comfortable. The blow up air mattresses were the best I ever slept on as well, and the laundry area was a great perk. The quite neighborhood felt safe and friendly. Entering the home we found it very cozy and filled with stacks and beverages. Most of all Matt's hospitality and availability for us was top notch. I would definitely recommend this vacation property to others. Again I say, we had a great time. Thanks Matt Lori C

Great house for larger group and even better host!

I had the pleasure of staying in this house with a group of 11 women. The house was very accommodating for a lager group due to the separate units in one big house. The house was in a convenient location and close to everything NOLA has to offer. Matt, the host was extremely responsive and there to answer any of our questions 24/7. He provided all of the essentials needed and everything was clean. I highly recommend booking with Matt and his wonderful house.

My name is Matt and I was born and raised in the great city of New Orleans. I spent 5 years away for college and 4 years in the Marines after that. Since coming home in 2010 I know that there is nowhere else I would rather be. The city's culture, food, and music is like no other in the world. I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Science degree in Hospitality Management. Hosting people and making them feel comfortable in my home is something I love to do and I go the extra mile to make sure my guests have an amazing time in New Orleans. Im also a personal trainer and own/operate a studio a block away from the property.
