Reader's Digest says 'our pick for the best continental U.S. sands is Hermosa Beach, 30 min from downtown L.A. and 15 minutes south of LAX'. The Vista Casita at Casitas del Mar is an exquisite home on the beach located in the finest area of Hermosa Beach. The views are truly breathtaking.

The Vista Casita is a two bedroom, one bath second story home which sleeps four to five. For sleeping, there are king and queen beds and a queen sofa bed in the living room. If you require additional room please see our other rental property below (click on 'All My Rental Listings').

It is a two-minute walk to a couple of delightful restaurants open morning to night as well as a convenience store. Also it is just an eight-minute walk to the pier and plaza with a huge variety of restaurants and shopping.

The Vista Casita is designed with a style that would make Tommy Bahama himself proud. You will be more relaxed in this setting than you could possibly imagine. The living room and master bedroom have large picture windows that present marvelous unobstructed beach and ocean views. A bricked patio which includes dining table, double chaise lounge, bar and barbecue is available for lounging in this idyllic setting and watching the world go by. Private Courtyard with outdoor shower.

This is a treasue....

The Vista Casita is a treasure for those who are lucky enough to stay there for a while. My husband and I have just returned from a month of luxury by the ocean. We are already planning our return visit. The Vista is a beautifully decorated, comfortable, home away from home. Buckita has thought of everything that will please her guests--the comfortable beds and furniture, the fine linens, the bicycles, beach chairs and towels, the fully equipped kitchen, and the aesthetic qualities of everything she has chosen for this lovely place. The views from The Vista are one of its major attractions. The large picture windows provide views out over the sandy beach, the incoming waves and the gorgeous sunsets. The outdoor patio is perfect for relaxing on sunny days and for outside dining. It is hard to leave The Vista even to visit the many attractions of the South Bay area and the city of L. A. Many, many thanks Buckita from two grateful guests who have loved the glorious holiday we had at The Vista. We are both looking forward to enjoying your wonderful hospitality in the near future.

Feels like our second home

Our third summer and we love it. Everything we need is here. Great having a washer/dryer and kitchen. The views are the best!

Best family vacation ever! Love this place!

We loved our stay at the Vista! Cozy and right on the strand with beautiful views and within walking distance of many restaurants. The unit was very clean & tastefully decorated. The unit was equipped with everything we needed. Owner was great to work with for the entire process -- from booking, to providing recommendations for dining, shopping and location attractions. The owner was welcoming and made us feel like part of her family. The sunsets were amazing. Will we stay there again? Absolutely yes.

Awesome beach house!

This house is elegantly designed but has the warmth of a cozy beach house. The views are excellent; the patio is very enjoyable, and you are right on the Strand!! Buckita is an outstanding, gracious host. She has provided everything one needs for a beach vacation. You have to rent this place. Everything is within walking distance. The entire family enjoyed it.
