Had an amazing time. The house was great, hot tube was relaxing, dock and kayaks provided great access to the lake. We even rented a pontoon boat for the day from the marina.

We enjoyed our stay at Bear’s Lair for our daughter’s wedding! View of lake was spectacular and it was nice to have access to the lake with the dock just down the road. Parking at the dock was helpful. Home was very nicely kept and hot tub was great at end of each day.

Just an absolutely beautiful spot to stay in! The cabin is incredible with plenty of room for larger groups and was exactly what we were hoping for.

Our week vacation was fantastic and the cabin is an absolute “Gem”. The Cabin is very well equipped, clean and nicely decorated, and I enjoyed the plentiful reading material about the local area. The view of the Lake is nothing short of beautiful, and can be seen from almost every room in the house plus two outdoor large decks! Thank you for being a great host Kathy and we will definitely return! This was so nice and relaxing vacation, we will definitely be back! V/r Brian

We enjoyed a wonderful, comfortable stay in this beautiful home with a stunning view. We attended a wedding very nearby and loved being together to relax and connect in between festivities at this spacious cabin.The host provided excellent instructions and communications making it easy to highly recommend this cabin.

An Unforgettable Family Getaway & Perfect Wedding Base! We booked this beautiful cabin as our home base for my niece’s wedding, and it exceeded every expectation. Even the drive to get here was an adventure! We experienced the Tail of the Dragon on our way to the cabin. It is a stunningly beautiful, winding drive that set the tone for an incredible mountain vacation.The moment we arrived, we were blown away by the amazing view of the lake and mountains. It was perfect for our family.The Boat Dock: Absolutely awesome! Having direct water access made everything so convenient. On the Water: We rented a boat and the whole family had a blast going tubing.AmenitiesWhen we weren't on the water or celebrating the wedding, we were fully utilizing the cabin's fantastic outdoor spaces. The Hot Tub: The perfect way to unwind after a long day of wedding festivities or lake activities. Outdoor Cooking: We loved grilling out on the deck while taking in the mountain scenery.We left with hearts full of cherished family memories and cannot recommend this property highly enough!The Verdict: If you are looking for a place to gather with family, enjoy the water, and make lifelong memories, this is it. We will cherish our time here forever. Highly, highly recommended!

This was such a fantastic vacation rental! This property is beautiful, peaceful, and well cared for. Kathy was wonderful about getting us all the information we needed and provided excellent recommendations for things to do in the area. Our wedding guests loved staying here and it was an easy walk to the Nantahala Weddings & Events venue. I would absolutely recommend staying at Bear’s Lair!

We have stayed in lots on mountain cabins but this home has to be the best experience to date!!!

I highly recommend this property!! The location is perfect and the home is cozy and just what we needed for my group of 7 - Plenty of sleeping and gathering space!!
