CHESTATEE RIVER CABIN is a prefect pet friendly get away close to Dahlonega

If you're looking for an adorable cabin on the river with easy access to North Georgia, this is it! The deck is literally on the river!

The cabin has updated appliances, including a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and HVAC. The one bedroom is perfect for two, and there's a queen-size sofa sleeper that can comfortably sleep two more. We love four-legged children, so this cabin is pet-friendly.

Sit back and enjoy the sound of the river, do a little fishing, or curl up with a good book! We are committed to providing a clean, safe, and pleasant environment for our guests.

The cabin features a cozy living room with a fireplace, a queen sofa bed with fresh bedding, and a lounge chair. The bathroom is a nice size with a walk-in shower. Mountain nights are usually cool, and the days are pleasant. The cable provider is Windstream, and we offer services through a smart TV. We provide complimentary Sling TV, but you can sign in to your own providers if you wish.

Please remember that the cabin is rural and has a rustic charm. Power outages can occur with storms or heavy winds. In such cases, we have an assortment of board games, cards, and fishing poles to help you enjoy your time unplugged.

The outdoor deck is almost as large as the inside, allowing guests to truly take in the private surroundings. It overlooks the river and is close enough to fish from the deck. Located at the end of a dead-end road, it's cozy and private with woods directly across the river.

It is just ten minutes to the delightful town of Dahlonega where you can buy your groceries and can even arrange to have them delivered to your car. You can also enjoy shopping at the many quaint places on the square, dine in several charming restaurants, canoe down the river, explore hiking trails galore, and find horseback riding less than two miles away. Or head downtown for your Starbucks fix. Stay for a weekend or come and hang out for a week! These locations are hard to find, and you will love this beautiful 'hideaway'.

Our stay at the river cabin could not have been more enjoyable! It is one of the best homes we've ever stayed at during our travels. The cabin was very comfortable and cozy. The location is perfect. On the river with a large deck for relaxing and enjoying our afternoons. Close to historic downtown and the wineries but tucked away so you have privacy. Everything we needed was there. The bed was comfortable. If you want to stay in and cook the kitchen has everything you need. The host was great. Very easy check in and communication made everything super simple. We definitely plan on staying at the cabin again and recommend anyone coming to Dahlonega to do so also. Thanks for the hospitality!

We travel to Dahlonega several times a year and have rented dozens of vacation properties. This property is our new favorite! The cabin is quiet and secluded, and nicely furnished. The real standout was the deck overlooking the Chestatee River. It's huge! We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the evenings watching the birds, fireflies (or lightning bugs as we called them growing up), and other wildlife. We even saw an otter. It was warm during our visit, but a morning rainstorm gave us a hint of what the cabin would be like in colder months: cozy! We are looking forward to returning in the fall or winter. All in all, a great experience. Thank you to our host!

The property and cabin are the epitome of relaxation! It had everything we needed to unwind and just “be” all weekend. Fished right from the deck, enjoyed the fire pit and had the cozy inside to unwind before a restful sleep. The host was super responsive before and during the stay when we had a few quick questions. Would not only recommend, but can’t wait to book another stay!

Beautiful cabin right on the river. Lots of wineries nearby. We were in the Dahlongea Christmas parade with our dogs. Would like to stay here again.

Host was welcoming and easy to reach through email. The cabin was charming in a rustic way, but had most everything we needed. We really enjoyed the fire pit outside, and especially the fact that firewood was provided. The setting is serene and absolutely lovely.

Loved the view of the river from the large deck and the sound of the water flowing. The cabin is out in nature (with a few neighboring houses) but also not far from town. We loved 19 North restaurant just off the square which had a dog friendly porch. The cabin being friendly for dogs was great for us too and our Labrador Retriever. We took a lovely hike part way around the path at the reservoir lake for the town of Dahlonega. The cabin had very good air conditioning which was a real plus in July. The bed had a comfortable mattress. The TV worked great. The walk-in shower was nice. The kitchen had everything we needed including a separate ice maker on the counter. The cleanliness of the property was very good and the host was readily available to answer questions. It did look like there was some tweaking of the closet storage space in the bedroom with some blinds lying in the closet floor and some extra furniture in there, but all in all the cabin was comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. We plan to come back in the fall to see the leaves in color over the river and enjoy the fireplace in the cabin. Thanks for the stay! Linda

Perfect location! Loved relaxing and fishing off the deck! We visited several beautiful local vineyards and enjoyed fires every night under the stars! Cabin was very clean and cozy inside.

Such a sweet, cozy, cabin!! Perfect size for party of two! Close to Dahlonega and so many wineries and places to hike! No shortage of trails and waterfalls nearby! Will definitely come back! Love the vibe of the cabin! Listening to the river is so comforting and soothing! Great spot!

Chestatee River Cabin

Great cabin on the river. Was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were perfect. We enjoyed our stay.

My goal is for guests to feel completely at home here, embracing the peacefulness, serenity, and natural beauty of this place—a haven to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and reconnect with themselves and nature. I hope you find this beautiful retreat with its rustic charm to be a source of serenity and relaxation.
