The owner couldn't have been nicer, attentive to our needs as guests and checking in from time to time to make sure all was well. He was open to suggestions as to improve our stay and prompt with any requests This is a beautiful property with harbor views and it's own dock. We definitely want to return.

This is a really special place. The cottage was spotless, comfortable, and full of character, and the whole property has a magic to it. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and you can tell how much care goes into the place. It is the kind of spot you feel lucky to find and even luckier to share with family. We loved our stay and would recommend it to anyone. 11 out of 10.

We stayed at this home for seven nights and absolutely enjoyed every minute of it. The house was very clean and comfortable. It is well stocked with everything needed. The views from the house of the harbor with lobster boats docked in the harbor was spectacular. Everyday we ventured out to see the other towns around Cutler and can say none of them were disappointing. While eating lunch

A little piece of heaven

This cottage was perfect for our party of 4. The views from the deck were magnificent and we were able to watch the lobster boats. Very tranquil, relaxing and beautiful. The owner had everything we could possibly need for cooking and having a wonderful time. The place was clean and the beds were comfortable. . We felt right at home. Ferris was an awesome host who even recommended where to get our lobsters, scallops, haddock and clams. We hope to get back there in the near future.

Lobster & Coastal Hiking!

The house was a clean and cozy cottage with a view of the beautiful working harbor where lobster boats go out daily starting before sunrise. It was very quiet, other than the early lobster vessels slipping out to gather their catch. The birds were plentiful, the stars bright, and beds comfortable. And the kitchen was well appointed for cooking. Since there are no restaurants in Cutler, we ate in the cottage most nights but enjoyed a fabulous meal at West Branch Farms in Machias, and of course bought and cooked lobster from Little River Lobster Company. Every day we chose a different hike, mostly north of Cutler along the Bold Coast where the trails are lightly used, and coastline views are the best in the state! One of our very favorite trails is across the harbor at Western Head Preserve; it is definitely 5-star! After hiking, it was always a joy to come back to the cottage, relax, and watch the sunset on the water from their pier. We will most definitely return! And our biggest thanks go to Ferris for being a wonderful host!

Western Head is my favorite hike and I have been walking those trails since I was a child. All the best! Ferris
