Great outside, but for 70 year olds some concerns ...

Enjoyed our stay with the wonderful outdoor spaces, great views and quiet (apart from the nesting ospreys). Easy access to house and patio areas, with only a few steps on the deck and jetty. A good view from living room, even on a rainy day. Debra (owner) was good at connecting with us about some concerns.When we first arrived, the cottage looked and smelled clean, but we found the floor and shower needed some attention. Two blinds were damaged, but Debra had warned us. Bathroom was tight (for us), and we could not get into the 1/2 bath. Patio door was not easy to open and close for us.Amazing location was great for resting, praying, reading and drawing. And doing nothing at all!

Great little Getaway!

The house is nicely appointed and tastefully decorated. It makes a great base from which to explore Urbanna and the Rappahannock.

Cute cottage with lovely outdoor space and amazing river views

Pros: Cute little cottage with a wonderful outdoor space and beautiful, expansive river views – exactly what our souls needed! The beds were comfy with cozy lamps for lighting, and the kitchen and dining area were spacious. We loved the colorful and whimsical decor. We appreciated the stocked Keurig coffee maker, plenty of beach towels, and the firepit outside, which we enjoyed very much. Cons: an inattentive cleaning crew. The surfaces and bathrooms were very clean, but the floors had been forgotten about which left us vacuuming and mopping upon arrival. A frustrating start to vacation. Debra did offer to refund part of the cleaning fee which we appreciated. Living room furniture needs an upgrade – especially the two wicker chairs which were strange and uncomfortable. The cushions on the wicker couch were dirty as well so we really didn't feel like we could cozy up in the living room. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would come back for that outdoor space and those river views.

Great Weekend Getaway

Had a great time staying at this rental. Great view and amenities. Fully stocked kitchen and supplies. If you just want to relax and take in the view or maybe do some fishing this is a great place to visit.

Relaxing weekend on the water!

The property was absolutely amazing and perfect for a long weekend. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with amenities which was excellent because we prepared all of our meals at the cottage. We spent 90% of our time on the dock, the views were amazing and it was such an added bonus having the kayaks, plentiful seats, and steps down to the water. The owner has obviously spent alot of time making this home beautiful and comfortable for guests. This was our first visit to Urbanna but we can't wait to go back!
